>people on this board can afford videogames
someone buy me metal slug
How is it? Worth 2 bucks?
>been deciding if I want to get SFV for 30 bucks off of g2a for a week now
Fug I don't want to get bored by it in a week
Tip:
Resist the temptation to buy old games with only 25% discount. You may get a better discount on future weekend deals.
Which of the naruto games should I get?
Is pic related recommended? I own Last Light, but have yet to play it.
I have an extra copy of San Andreas, anyone got spare games to trade?
>>343638852
Not really no
>>343639047
Probably the latest one.
Pretty shitty sale, Steam. Pretty shitty.

>>343638558
Still need to condense this further
>>343639457
For what it's worth, I found This War of Mine fairly dull.
>>343638854
If it's your first fightan game don't do it. But if you've played the genre for a while go for it, can always refund it if it doesn't feel right.
>>343639445
Only if you are into brutally difficult platformers.
Recommend getting Aces Wild: Manic Brawling Action! as it is pretty cheap right now.
It's a 2D brawler where it feels pretty satisfying sending enemies flying and parry their attacks. Also the bosses are a joy to fight.

Any opinions on Luftrausers and Rogue Legacy? Everything else seems pretty decent.
already own most of the games on sale that I would like to play and don't really fancy spending £17.50 on The Witcher III and £23 or so on Doom when I won't be playing either for ages
>>343639186
Strike Vector or Awesomenauts?
>>343639532
No I've been playing fighting games since the genesis and snes. I can't get into them anymore though it seems like.
Is Dark Souls: PTD worth it at $5?
>>343639627
Luftrausers is a Difficult 2D shooter.
Minimalist graphic but has a lot of power-up fighter modification.
Not for a casual shooter, need a willingness to accept the challenge of difficult levels
>>343639457
If you got the money, I'd add Napoleonic Wars.
So many fucking shit&giggles and keks to be had. Its also still surprisingly populated with people. Some 200 pop servers are almost always full.

>>343639457

>>343639745

I'll be getting:
>Mount & Blade: Warband
>Assault Android Cactus
>Euro Truck Simulator 2
>Red Faction: Guerrilla
>Alpha Protocol
>Silent Storm
>FTL
Still on the fence about:
>Dead by Daylight (loved the beta but devs seem incompetent)
>Tropico (dunno which one to get)
>Stalker (got them all on disc anyway and it seems the money won't go to the right people)
Hit me with your hot opinions familia.
i got a long USB cable so my controller can reach my bed, i need some nice controller support games that are on sale for a good price to play
i got Alpha Protocol, Dishonored and RE6 but can always use more games
Dishonored + DLC OR Bioshock Collection for 10 euro?

What are the good WRPG games?
Like Gothic, etc.
I want to buy them while they're cheap.
I want to get shadowrun returns. but i have an itch to buy more games.
so any similar games like shadowrun?

Metal gear rising, dark souls 1 or 2, rouge legacy.

>>343639745
Definitely, from someone who first played only 4 months ago, play it because you're missing out. I have 100h on it and around 100 more on 3 now
Check pcgamingwiki for fixes because the port isnt ideal and I recommend playing it with a controller
>>343639971
The Bioshock games got worse as sequels came. First is really good, second is way easy and nothing new, Infinite wasn't stellar.
>>343639082
Yes
>>343640078
Roughly how much time cam i get out of Dishonored DE if i beat the main game+ both the DLCs?

Do I need friends for that game
Someone help. How do you find all the jRPGs in Steam? Just type JRPG in the search bar?
>>343639921
I'm with you on Dead by Daylight
Beta was super fun but I'm worries about all the negative reviews
Plus I can see the game playerbase just degenerating until only the most tryhard players are left
>>343640190
Disagree. Sure the graphics are sub par and the combat is clunky at times, but on the whole it's a tremendous, immersive experience.

>>343640259
i prefer the DS4 and already have it, plus a rubber grip skin for it. it was cheaper to get a long cable than shell out for a whole other controller.
i know you can get bluetooth dongles but i hear they have input lag and i think that still would cost more than just getting a longer cable.
>>343640190

Sucks to be you.
The modding community alone is worth the price of admission and for fucking 3 euros...
>>343639201
Why?
>>343640250
Probably fifteen-twenty hours. Maybe double that if you want to see both endings.
>>343640217
Aight, thanks.
>>343640359
this desu. A video game is like half a shift at taco bell, if you can't afford them you're retarded.
>>343640335
Haven't seen any hackers in my ~5 hours of play so far. Seems like the people that are still playing are the people that really like the game.
>>343640250
I got 43 hours out of it, but i did something like 5 different playthroughs on the main game, 2 playthroughs on one of the dlcs, 3 playthroughs on the other and i got all 3 stars on all the trials.
If you just play through it once, maybe 12-15 hours.
Those who bought "Age of Empire II HD", Isn't "Buy Age of Empires Legacy Bundle" a better value?
>>343640414
Ahh okay, I see, a DS4 then.
I'm not experienced with any of the DS controllers so I'm not sure about the input lag thing.

yeah just get Dishonored+DLC and pirate the original Bioshock 1.
if you really like Bioshock you can get Bioshock 2, it's not bad persay but it's much more linear and feels thin on content. Infinite is terrible.

KOTOR 1 and 2 are great.

>>343639807

I have 3 dollars in my account. What get?
Pharaoh Rebirth+
Any good god games or city builders? Already have Banished and Cities Skylines.
>>343640190
I highly disagree, I showed it to my friend last year and he now has 350+ hours in it and he never plays multiplayer. It's that good.
>>343640445
Class system, 3D graphics are ugly. Just wait for the new one coming out this year.
>>343640527
What steam skin is that?
>>343640671
Alpha Protocol is $3.74 if you can manage to get another dollar. it's kind of like a fusion of Metal Gear and Mass Effect.
Hey, I bought the DLCs for Skyrim when they were like four bucks each, but I didn't buy Hearthfire. Apparently I need it to get the Remastered Edition for free. I've tried CDKeys and G2A, but has anybody found a super cheap Hearthfire key?
>>343640527
I really like Dishonored but I'm so torn by what I want to do next. I got the "never seen" achievement but a group of rats fucked up my "no kills" achievement so I could try for that again, but on the other hand I haven't done a Chaos playthrough yet either.
Trying to get prepped for Dishonored 2.

how is Tales of Zesitiria? the only Tales game i've played is Symphonia, i really liked it although the last dungeon was pretty dumb. i tried playing Tales of the Abyss but just couldn't get into it for some reason.
also curious about performance. i know they ported Symphonia to PC and it's fucking awful so i don't wanna waste money if Zestiria is just as bad.

Try Risen they're the same developers who made the Gothic series except for Gothic 4 and above. I haven't played Risen 2 and 3 yet but I had a good fun on Risen 1.
>>343640860
I see Hearthfire as $3.74.
>>343640876
I did have to replay a mission or two several times because oops, some knocked out guard fell from too high and broke his fucking neck, and how the fuck was i suppose to know that. Also, rats don't count for kills, maybe it was a guard that fell.
When i saw the dishonored 2 stuff, i was like "yeah, whatever i don't care", because i thought dishonored was one of those "remember that old game you like, we got some of the developers working on this game" and being a fan of thief i just ignored it for that. What a got was a fucking amazing game and i can't wait to play the sequel.

maybe they fixed it then. i remember when it first came out all the threads on /v/ were bitching about how badly it ran.
>>343640952
Just done some research on it now and it looks like a russian scam.
The "game" looks like it's gotten no further than the 10 minute demo since it first showed up. Looks nice, plays nice, no updates, no news for 8 months.

If anyone misses good RTS games and wants to try something new and refreshing, I highly recommend Offworld Trading Company. No units, no micromanagement, but holy shit can you fuck over other people in this game. It's satisfying as fuck to completely screw over someone in this game.

>>343641135
I had thought that neutral rats eating a body counted against you. I saw several people a few years ago post about how you had to hide knocked out bodies on elevated locations so that rats wouldn't eat them. Was that disproven?
I didn't like the game very much the first time I played it, but I gave it a second chance last year and I really like the series now.

>>343641685
It's Assassin's Creed with actually good combat in LOTR skins.
Definitely one of the most surprisingly good games in recent memory, though the Nemesis system could use some work.
How bad is it compared to CivV? I didn't like CivV too much.

>>343642002
I actually never used the rats power so i can't account for that, but the rats that are on the streets don't count for it. Like how it doesn't count if enemies fight each other, for example.

>>343642150
Nah, you gotta buy it, but it isn't overpowered. The best weapons/gear in the game is from progression.
It's more like just getting different options/playstyles, I guess. Not the most ideal situation but whatever, it's still a very good game.
>>343642356
I actually have no idea. I was looking for comments/critiques of my choices before I bit the bullet and bought them.
I have heard mostly good things about HR though.
>>343642348
I tried it once, felt like a tab-targeting mmo but single-player
This game right here. It's 50% off, so it's like €2,49 for us over in Europe. Probably my favorite game of all time. Get it. It's really, really good. And getting it for that price is such a bargain. You'll easily get ~20 hours out of it.
Story is amazing, atmosphere is one of the best in any game, even today, and it was a masterpiece when it came out.
Why was 2003 such a good year for videogames? It had shit like Simcity 4, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, Ape Escape 2, Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne, the first Call of Duty, SW:KoToR, etc.

It's the best and it's storyline is one of the best in recent years.
>>343642589
It's sooo good. The world changes as you progress, all NPCs have unique dialogues, there's hidden areas, and the lore is consistent, albeit a bit simple, but cmon, it was 2003.
I dislike stealth games immensely, but I love this game anyway.
>>343642348
You'll get a lot of playtime out of it and the main game isn't bad. Get the definitive edition for some extra content, though the expansion isn't great.

tl;dr: It's a mess of half finished ideas that plays competently but without any of the depth or nuance of the first two. Storyline also feels half finished and rushed, as evidenced by the fact that they had to retcon some stupid scenes in the DLC to make them less idiotic.

Pong. Tetris. Literally any other game.
Infinite's story isn't internally consistent, it's FULL of plotholes, railroading, and shitty developer handwaving.
It's literally the Big Bang Theory of video games. People say they like it because they think it makes them sound smart, but the comedy/story isn't actually smart, it just uses big words or pays lip service to big ideas in order to sound smart.
Which in turn tricks idiots like you into defending it. Read a book.

It's a marginal downgrade. The story behind Director's Cut is sort of retarded, they only had an older version of the game to work with with inferior SSAO, less stable preformance and with more bugs.
Buggy enoguh that it got ignored by ENB.

It's definitely clunky but I feel that's excusable because it's an RPG trying to be an action game. It's just inexcusable how they put comparatively high level enemies on the way to starting game quests.
The other thing that I really dislike about it is the autosaves. I've screwed up my prime pawn twice already (once by making her the wrong class and a second time by making her too short), but at this point I just don't care because I stopped playing the game anyway. If I go back to it I'll be restarting again I guess.
Enter the Gungeon or Nuclear Throne?
Any other option similar to these, excluding BoI?

I'd get it if it had a linux version or even if steam had some wine support that would allow me to run games on linux through wine without having to have a separate steam install in wine.
Any good shmups on Linux?

Rome 1 or Medeival total war are one of the best.
Rome 2 is good too but its FILLED with DLCs and shit
$17 left in my steam wallet, /v/. Any last minute picks?

then maybe, it is a bad release but it may get better
also you will have to play it a lot if you want the dlc characters for free

>Xbox controller
>for playing dark souls
I don't understand how people do this. I hate Xbox bumpers, and since the bumpers are the most important button for dark souls, it just feels like shit. Plenty of games play great on an Xbox controller, but dark souls was made for a ps3 controller
>>343650319
i don't know what you're talking about, i had more trouble with the ps3's shitty triggers than the 360's bumpers.
>>343650207
If you like musous, yes. Even if you don't like One Piece, yes.
>>343650319
Those games handle great with the Xbox controller.

How is Pressure? Saw it now in the suggestion list and looks cool.

My only suggestion is to get rome 1 above 2 if you're considering either
>>343649594

HELP ME LADS
Got 20 dollars for the rest of the sale. I think I will pick up CSGO, but then I have a choice. It's down to either Subnautica or Cities Skylines, both are 11.99. I've never played a city builder before but would like to try, but Subnautica seems like a great survival game. Opinions?
>>343642597
You have good taste.
What did he mean by this?
>>343651838
How do you even get this badge? Or any Summer Picnic badge?
>>343650839
portwise the resolution only goes up to 1080p if that's an issue for you it's good to know beforehand.
>>343650892
I'm thinking about getting Subnautica as well since deep sea stuff is my shit. But fuck, I rarely get early access games because of false promises and I've been jewed on once too many times.
Are they even going to fucking add sea monsters/megabeasts? All I've seen so far are nuisance sea critters.
>>343652202
thats my problem. thinking about getting Depth instead
>>343652202
The guys who made Natural Selection 2 are making Subnautica so they have some experience definately. Personally I feel like they really do care about the game and it's fanbase. I bought it during the sale and it is worth 11.99 but perhaps not 19.99

Don't bother with Contrast. The first act is pretty interesting, the last 2/3 of the game are just faffing around. The gimmick isn't enough to save it.
>summer cards expire tomorrow
so i should sell these useless things before they disappear from the inventory, right?
>>343648949
Thank you, Anon. Purchased.
Is Environmental Station Alpha good? I have 6 bucks left and I'll probably just buy Valdis Story if it's not.
Any good survival sandbox with base building, but not just using pre-made parts like ARK?
It can be EA, just need proper amount of content.
I want something comfy to play.

Mad max is pretty good if you get it for a good price
new oddworld sucks
>>343644305
>>343646941
Cloudbuilt is great, although I don't know about the DLC.
I have a fuckton of Audiobooks to go through and I need a background game for it besides Minecraft.
Something mindless that doesn't need much attention from me.
>>343653674yes
WHAT DO I FUCKIN BUY
>>343653615
If you don't really care about the multiplayer, you should just pirate MKX. The only time you should ever consider buying a fightan is if you're planning on sinking time on the multi.
Also, Mad Max is really hit and miss. Was kinda meh.
Don't know much about the new Oddworld game.
Which one would you get? All look fun.
Yay or nay?
This sale has convinced me that I already own literally every worthwhile Steam game.
>>343654139
Yup, I know that feeling
>sales are ending and I have refunded everything I bought so far except Prison Architect, which I would refund if I wasn't 6 hours in
I swear, I enjoyed games more when I just pirated first and bought them later, instead I force myself to not enjoy them too much as not to go above 2 hours playtime.
>>343653893
Euro Truck Simulator 2 or American Truck Simulator if you'd prefer
No joke
Driving is relaxing and simple and playing these games are great if you want something to hold your attention while listening to an album or audiobook
>>343652896
This. Just wait for 4.1
>>343654058

>>343654259
try to refund that too , some times they allow refund for more that 2h of play time , I refunded Goat simulator with 4 hours after I sold all the cards
REmaster yes or no? Been playing RE4 and I love it.
Some one talked me out of Life Is Strange. I really liked the demo but everything that came out of the MCs mouth made me furious and she is clearly retarded

>>343643887
>>343654023
I enjoyed the fuck out of mad max. I found the game, the world and the story greatfor a MM story. this is important. The deep screenshot maker was also shockingly fun.its a solid 9/10 if your a MM fan, a 7.5/10 if not.
AC Freedom Cry worth seven bucks? Seems like it would be really short.
>>343654058
Get the DLC for W3 too. It's so good.
>>343644185
Hey anon should I buy the DLC for mount and Blade or just the base game and mod it?
>>343654635
If its not Ass creed 2 or 4 its not worth your money
I want to play a game with a fun world to explore. Is the Witcher 3 worth it? I played maybe two hours of the first one.
>>343654692
Well technically it is 4
>>343653429
Transistor is good but not as as great as Bastion.
The Swapper is excellent. Good puzzles and very atmospheric.
>2016

>>343653893
City builder
also, Gratuitous space battle.
>>343654058
Obviously yay, 3 great games for that price is absolutely insane. I paid 40 dollars for 3 alone and felt I got my moneys worth.
>>343654427
Don't buy HM2. It's not worth any amount of money because it's a bargain-bin version of 1. Just enjoy the memory of 1 and maybe watch a LP of 2.
>>343653615
Darkest Dungeon and Divinity are both high quality, I recommend those. Don't spend a cent on MKX, WB pissed all over the PC playerbase, repeatedly. Pirate it if you must, it's not a bad game.
>>343647763
Expect flashbacks: the game
>>343653890
>>343644305
Cloudbuilt is great and so is the DLC but DON'T GET IT until you've beaten and even S'd the main game first, it's insanely harder.
Webm related is the start and easiest part of one of the DLC levels, it's more slow paced but with a lot more room for error and improvement.
