I still haven't finished Environmental Station Alpha so I'm on the fence about this one.
Any hidden ARGs or anything?
Was it just cute snacks doing cute things on the trading cards?
PIcked up GTA IV Comple Pack, Crypt of the Necrodancer, Psychonauts, Terraria, Welcome to the Game, and Battleblock Theatre for under $20
How'd I do?
How is Arma 3 apex?

no come on dont just say nonsense
Nothing really caught my eye this sale except for two things. Is Tales of Symphonia worth it? Also, what about Dying Light. I'm interested because I can co-op with my brother albeit buying two copies. Are either of these worth it?
>>343611241
>Pscyhonauts
>GTA IV

>>343611498
Not him, but I loved psychonauts and battleblock if you got a buddy to play with.
which tweaker shooter should i get
hammerwatch
circuit breaker
hero siege
fight the dragon
I wanted to get Skyrim and all it's DLC but the last time it was on sale it was like $15 and now it's $26. I just want something to keep me busy for awhile and I plan on using mods. I don't care about the free remastered version, should I wait until it's cheaper or just buy it now? Am poorfag so $26 is kinda a lot.
Should I? Actually $80 AUD
Deluxe edition because the newest DLC looks decent and it's still better value if I were to get it on its own.
>>343610382
>Original War
It's great.
>Dark Souls

>>343610382
swapper and shadowrun were ok for what they were
evil genius was just ok
the rest aren't really my thing
>>343611813
You could buy a better game then. Or just buy skyrim and pirate the DLC. If you are a real poorfag then you can get the witcher 2 for a few bucks for example.

hammerwatch
>>343611813

I spent quite a bit this year, far more than I wanted to actually.
Pic related. Excuse all the cards I sold to craft the badges.
Pleased overall. Nice variety and opened me up to new games and genres.

Honestly being employed by Frieza doesn't seem like that bad of a gig as long as you don't piss him off or get in his way.
>>343612209
>Dragon Age refund
Why? Was thinking about getting it
4 games for 0.08 euro-dollars, 2 of them have cards. Only one of the games has has negative rating.
What is this MADNESS?!
just how "early access" is subnautica? it's been around suspiciously long to still be in that phase.
how extensive is the basebuilding? how many types of sea creatures are there? what does the bulk of the gameplay consist of?
>steadily build up cart over duration of sale
>plan to buy at the end
>have to restart PC and lose my cart
Oh well, at least I might save another £20 or so.
How's this looking?
Fun fact: the homeworld bundle is about £1.50 cheaper than buying deserts of kharak by itself if you already own homeworld remastered
>>343612273
I had it in my Origin account but didn't know - must have been a freebie. No other reason than that.
Game looks great.
>>343612474
http://store.steampowered.com/bundle/481/
Idle for cards and you make your money back off of one game alone.
Going pretty light this time around. Not much spending money, will likely bank more on the holiday sale if anything. Or try to save it for next summer when the games I do want are more manageable.
Either way. Out of the four I got, DeadCore is my current favorite. World of Goo and Gro Home are nice too, but I like DeadCore the best.
Tabletop Simulator is there because I know I have friends who play it and wanted me to join them. I haven't touched it much, so I could possibly refund it later.
>>343612509
It's pretty decent, closer to a full game than early access, with fairly rapid progress and open devs.
Base-building is decent, but not minecraft-tier. There are tons of sea critters. The gameplay (for now) is largely exploration with a bit of survival. Story is slowly being worked on. Devs aim for release this fall.
>>343612010
>>343612186
I actually have all of those games on the 360, most were free. I don't really care for the Elder Scrolls series, it just looks like something that I could play for months. I might pick it up on the next sale. Thanks for the help anons.
is Guilty Gear XrD the best and most populated fgame on steam right now?
I only have $4.50 left.

I didnt really like Styx or pathologic
I bought http://store.steampowered.com/app/385240/ so I could craft the badge to it
but you could also just sell the cards and make double what you payed, but I don't know why you wouldn't want to craft for the chance at getting aGOD EMPEROR TRUMP emote
>$5.35

Bought the Telltale Game of Thrones, and good lord it was a piece of shit. Stay away.
Got a whole bunch of new stuff but didn't get to play most of it yet.
Completed this neat metroidvania called Dex, it was a pretty cool game. Pretty much Deus Ex in 2D.
Was thinking of finally buying EU4 and CK2 (I've already played them quite a bit so I know what bullshit I'm getting into with Johan's wild ride) and pirating the DLC. Also considered getting the Bioshocks for the remasters, I only ever played 1 years ago anyway.

>>343613919
did you think it was really good or really bad?
cause my brain registered it as just ok
>>343611851
Yes to Dragon's Dogma. Not a perfect game, but it's unique in the RPG genre, has a fucking cool world and battle system, and pretty much the best DLC pack I've ever played.
Took off Left Alone from my list.
Debating about taking Don't Starve Shipwrecked off since I haven't even played the base game in any capacity to warrant buying a new standalone DLC. Also might take off its OST.
Anyone here with experience on the Road to Gehenna DLC? If I haven't even begun to play TALOS principle yet, should I just wait?
I'm thinking about adding Fallout 3 GOTY and New Vegas... but they're both $13's each, and I remember them being cheaper.
>>343610382

Environmental Station Alpha
Pharaoh Rebirth

>>343615476
It's ok. Expect a shallow diablo with occasional adventure elements and tiresome humor

Codes are bought directly from the devs for money from stolen credit cards and sold cheaper than what you get elsewhere, then most owners of said credit cards cancel the payments in time, the devs have to pay back with a little extra on top of that and then they disable those codes, so you may not even get the game.

If you really enjoy the base game you might as well get them later, but they feel quite rushed and cheap.
Avadon and Avernum are quality RPGs that'll last you more than a hundred hours if you can get past how simple they look.
>tfw all the recent subnautica shilling on /v/ has made me really tempted
Is it worth £9? It does look pretty comfy but I've heard there's a lack of "shit to do"
I haven't been able to buy anything this year and not because of lack of money
Not even DLC for some games I have installed

Personal niche recommendations (1/3)
Runestone Keeper — great roguelite / minesweeper game. Looks simple at first, but there’s a surprisingly interesting and challenging gameplay in it. 80+ hours and counting for me. Can’t have enough.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/339400
Desktop Dungeons — coffee brake roguelike with puzzle elements and huge replayability.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/226620
Tales of Maj'Eyal — the best roguelike on the market. Simple graphics, but almost limitless potential for hours to spend in it. Has in-game chat with friendly community always willing to help.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/259680
Battle Brothers — medieval fantasy turn-based RPG / RTS with surprisingly deep gameplay, fantastic atmosphere, and promises of it being even better game after EA is over. The best turn based game I played in 10 years.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/365360
The Talos Principle — first person puzzle made by Serious Sam devs. Smart and interesting challenge, with profound story and beautiful world.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/257510
Antichamber — first-person puzzle that doesn't play like Portal 2 at all. It's a mind-bending game, that makes you throw away preconceptions and prior experience playing video games and think differently.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/219890
Lovely Planet — Super Meat Boy from first person perspective with colorful world and VERY challenging levels. A speed run game.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/298600
Snakebird — surprisingly hard but neat puzzle game. Easy buy for those who want both challenging and clever experience.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/357300
Teleglitch — Quake II-esque world with top-down perspective and one life per run.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/234390
The Fall — platformer / puzzle / adventure with good story and dialogs. Rather short.
http://steamcommunity.com/app/290770
Personal niche recommendations (2/3)
Infested Planet — take control of a squad responsible of purging huge amount of xenos in a top-down realtime strategy. Has this Aliens / WH40k vibe.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/204530
Jets'n'Guns — absolutely fantastic and rad SHMUP with ridiculous number of levels, enemies, jets and guns. Gorgeous soundtrack by cult power-metal group Machinae Supremacy.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/262260
Shadowgate — very well done remake of an old Macintosh adventure. Just the game to spend dull winter evenings in almost pen-n-paper atmosphere. Good experience for those who love the genre.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/294440
Silent Storm — RPG made by Russians, set in the WWII / post-WWII world, with ridiculously good and smart turn based system, and total destruction of almost anything you can find on levels. Rare game to have Axis story arc in it.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/254960
Pix The Cat — a VERY good variation on a classic ‘snake’ formula. Huge replayability, addictive soundtrack, and co-op designed for parties.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/330180/
Duck Game — imagine Smash bros. with ducks and huge variety of different weapons, destructible environment, and a dedicated QUACK button. Must have for parties.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/312530
Hammerwatch — probably the best Gauntlet inspired game that has ever came out.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/239070
Devil Daggers — addictive arena shooter with surprisingly great atmosphere and audio/visual design (if you’re into it). Geometry Wars from first person. Go and beat 500.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/422970/
Bunker Punks — high speed, no bullshit old-school FPS with graphics straight from the last century. If you liked the new Doom, you might like this one too.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/446120/
Best multi-player ARPG or RPG under $10?
Personal niche recommendations (3/3)
NeuroVoider — rougelike twinstick shooter with great visuals and fantastic dark synth soundtrack. Customize your robotic body for it to suit your playstyle the best. Local co-op for up to 4 players.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/400450/
Deadbolt — a gritty combination of Gunpoint and Hotline Miami by creator of Risk of Rain. Playing as the Reaper, hunt souls that refuse to cross the river to the afterlife.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/394970/
House of the Dying Sun — game heavily inspired by Tie Fighter with aesthetics of Homeworld. One of the few games that actually benefit from being played in VR. Soundtrack by the composer of E.Y.E.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/283160/
Space Beast Terror Fright — FPS / dungeon crawler set in sci-fi world that reminds of Warhammer 40k Space Hulk and Aliens. Has co-op for up to 4 players on the same screen. Epileptics beware.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/357330/
Hexcells — neat little variation on minesweeper. Relaxing music and enough levels to keep you busy for a few evenings.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/265890
RUNNING WITH RIFLES — surprisingly deep tactical shooter, despite it having a top-down view and being pretty light hearted about itself and war in general.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/270150
Dungeon Rushers — unique tactical RPG with JRPG-esque combat. Build your army through the campaign to later raid other players’ dungeons while upgrading your own with better traps and monsters (think MGSV FOB invasions).
http://store.steampowered.com/app/429620/
Mini Metro — stylish strategy sim about making a subway map for evergrowing city. Minimalistic yet fantastic art style.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/287980/
Reflex — spiritual successor to Quake III, literally. Community is small and very hardcore. Unless you’re very good with arena shooters, — beware.

I too hunt for Caesar-like city building.
-Lethis path of progress is a light version. The gameplay is identical but it is not as deep as Caesar or Pharaoh (no military, no religion)
-Hearthlands, identical gameplay and even more detph, very promising but still in alpha, the sound is absolutely terrible (horrible voices, horrible looping music). The graphics are atrocious. You can feel it's a one-man made project. I could not play it for more than 1 hour, I'm waiting for release
-Factorio, for the production chains strategy
-Banished, far from the gameplay of Caesar but very enjoyable and comfy once you're hooked
-Anno 1404 / 2070, very different but the best "alternative" production-chain-oriented city building gameplay

I fucking hate SupCom elitist like you. Go back to your fucking insular community of sperglords and just watch your crap game die, no-one cares. Planetary Annihilation isn't great, but at least it tried to do something unique and manages to be a good game.
SupCom is full of people that have been playing the game for 10 years and want to destroy some fresh meat, they are fucking worse than the Quake Live or Age of Empires 2 communities. Fucking drones invading every single RTS discussion and wanking over their meh-at-best game. It a good game, but not the best thing since sliced bread. Not even close.
But if you want to watch tiny as fuck colorful icons moving around a static and fucking empty map, go ahead. I'll be over here, playing games that don't take place on staged 'battlefields', games that are actually interesting and not build queue optimization and resource rushes.
Games about tactics and fighting against other players/AIs.
Only game I got this year was Black Mesa and I hated it cause they fucked up the pistol and rpg royally. Shame really, also still no xen after all this time...

You only get games in your inventory if you store them as gifts when you first buy them. Can't trade once they are in your library
>>343631582
You can only put games in your inventory when you buy them, or are gifted them. Once they go in your library you can never take them out.
Basically people either buy stuff just to trade, or got gifted things they didn't want and are trying to trade them off
>>343631605
I've always thought that Torchlight is below mediocre and pretty boring.
>>343631605
Drop Soma, change Recettear for the Carpe Fulgur.
>>343631637
Goddamn you really are this fucking assblasted I wouldn't take your shitty trade.
You're also a retard, because that's not me

Whelp, that sucks, wanted to give away some stuff for free for my anonymoose familia. Oh well, thanks for the answer.
>>343631750
I really like good horror games and I've heard SOMA was the best game Frictional have made, and I really enjoyed Amnesia
Then again I also want to play Alien: Isolation
the joke is that I bought even more than this and I'm just too lazy to update it.
I like Creeper World 3.

How is AKIBA'S TRIP? I might choose it for my ironic weeaboo buy of this sale.
>>343631970
Thinking about getting Dragonball Xenoverse too... but I heard a new game is coming out so I don't know if I'm making a good investment.
AGE OF EMPIRE II OR CIVILIZATION IV?????
>>343632197
civ 5
>>343631970
Some good shit, some waste of money. You'll know better next sale. This one will hurt, but that's okay, you have a few great games that'll keep you happy.
>>343632156
It's not bad, brawler with a shit ton of jokes in it, which should be obvious. The combat isn't anything really special, but the game is definitely funny.
Watch a gameplay vid
I'm looking for some good stuff to play on my own
I got some extras for shogun:2 already. I've been eyeing subnautica, but >early access

Tabletop Simulator is only good with friends and good mods. I've no experience with it but a friend who bought it told me it was crap so I can't say

>>343633339
>Dad Sim
Couldnt even get an hour into that game, so boring even for 1$
I kinda want this game because of the Adventure stuff, exploring old caves and the likes.
But is the gameplay really that mindblowingly bad? Is it RE6 level of retarded cutscene/qte mess?
>>343633339
Gungeon is an overhyped piece of shit, in the long run Nuclear Throne or even fucking Binding of Isaac is much better.
I got a bit of steam wallet left, enough for 1 cheap game.
Which one should I get /v/?
Or do you have another game in mind?
>>343633624
It's like uncharted really. So it's fine. There are much more shootouts than annoying qte.
>>343633624
It's okayish. There are a few open areas with a lot of acutal gameplay, but the story missions are kind of boring with a lot of QTEs and boring gunfights. Still, not a mess though.
Already have Metro 2033 and last lights, should i Get the redux versions?
>>343633813
I already own both, and Gungeon has been prettyfunso far desu

>>343633828
RoR is fucking baller but the devs have since moved on to different things.
Buy that or Crypt
For a classic puzzle game, I remember enjoying English Country Tune a lot.
Nothing mind bending, but it does throw some curve balls.
Currently 50 cents right now.

The version with all the DLC is the best so I'd say just pirate that , the base game gets boring after a while
Rebel Galaxy
Trine 1
MASSIVE CHALICE

AoE2: WWK dlc
Witcher 3 Heart of Tone dlc

Torchlight 2
GTA San Andreas

Anyway have my second go to recommendation:
Gothic Universe Edition, which is only 4 bucks so you could go all out and buy Risen on top of it and still have something over.

Shipwrecked is fucking annoying compared to the base game. The only way to get poop is to deal with monkeys and once you walk near one, they follow you for fucking EVER picking up everything that's laying on the ground and eating everything else.
Just kill them right? Smack their shit in like you would the pigs in the base game? Not going to happen. They run away and throw rocks at you. Have you tried to catch a Koalephant without a ranged weapon? You know how they just run away for five minutes straight until you manage to box it in a corner and give it a much deserved thump on the fucking skull? The monkeys are the fucking same. Except the monkeys won't melee fight you from then on like the Koalephant will, it'll just keep running away and throwing rocks. Oh and while you're chasing that one monkey, the rest of the monkeys that were stealing all your shit will be chasing after you pelting you with rocks and poop. Getting hit with poop lowers your sanity too.
Fuck that DLC and those little chimp cunts.
Is Ryse any good? Does it run well? Have a mid tier PC
If I could only pick up one Call of Duty game would World at War be alright or should I get another?

Far Cry 3 is shite, get 4 if you really have to.
Banished... it's okay but I got it for free so no buyer's remorse, I don't know if it'll be worth its price to you, it's not exactly deep.
Amalur is literally a single player mmo, you'll most likely get bored after 2 hours.

Nope, the battles are real.
Only scripting I can think of is that you sometimes gets ambushed by bad guys but that's if you get too close to their hideout.
How do I convince my friend to buy zombie army trilogy with me?
>>343637201
No, if you start 15 games at the same time, after a while all of them will end up completely different.
The game can be a little wonky at times because very little is scripted, but that's part of its charm.
Need to get it below 20

The series gets progressively worse with each installment in my opinion. The games also get progressively more linear with each installment.COINCIDENCE???
Best to worst (and also the order of release):
>The Legend
>Armored Princess ("obsoleted" by Orcs on the March, but jamming all the OotM content into the small islands of AP made it look aesthetically crowded)
>Orcs on the March AKA Crossworlds
>Warriors of the North
>A pile of shit
>The fly sitting on the shit.

>Dark Side
