I really loved ZTD, only because I love Akane, Junpei, Sigma, and Phi so much. And in addition to the returners, I also found myself getting attached to the new characters when I didn't expect to (I particularly loved Q). I thought it was really cool to watch the games click together like they did (i.e.the apocalypse ending feeding directly into VLR and having the characters acknowledge that), I just wish Uchi had given us the answers he knew we wanted. I thought it was wonderful, but I can't say it was my favourite. I can't say any of the games were my favourite. I think they complimented and fed into each other perfectly to create my favourite trilogy - Zero Escape as a whole. It felt more like watching one movie in three parts and loving the whole movie than watching three movies in a series and picking one that was "the best". They all came together to create an incredible experience, and I think ZTD was perfect for that purpose.

When he started calling DianaLunaand Blue Bird Lamentation kicked in, It got me. Only moment in the game that really got to me, as I'd just witnessed the start of everything Sigma had spent his entire life working against.
Shame they sort of overdid BBL by the end of the game, but this was early enough for me to appreciate it and be saddened.

I feel you, with the disappointment of the ending people forget that WE ACTUALLY GOT ZE3 for fuck's sake. And overall it's a great game. There's really no reason to skip it if you plahed 999 and VLR because you will like it, even if it's not 100% of the time. Best escape rooms, great twists, some characters got great moments and development. The dialogue is good and the writing is on par overall. The only bad points are aliens, COMPLEX and the stuff we were promised but didn't get. In my book, it's a 8.5 or 9.

What the heck does J-05-03 shifted down 7 mean? Keyboard layout is ambiguous.I was able to finish the escape segment and get Crossbow Ending, my only one besides choosing correctly at the start so far (Mira is BEST), but that's a pretty big loose end that I have no idea what the resolution is. I tried like five different ways of interpreting "shifting down by 7", and none of them were correct, so I solved the puzzle thinking it would give me another hint but instead it just solved the puzzle.

ZTD>999>VLR. In the latter two games there's just way too much repetition, 999 with having to replay the game for every route and VLR with having so many clone routes where the only things switched around are a few names. I think the fragment system and 100% cinematic dialogue make ZTD a real "no bullshit" game where something interesting and new is always happening during its concise run

ZTD's gets flack for not resolving absolutely everything since it's supposedly the finale, but I'm cool with what it did. Not a fan of Zero's true identity but at least he's his own character now instead of a logo, plus they kept with the tradition of having Zero actually help the world, only in an immoral way. The plot comes together pretty nicely, I guess I'm just more put off by the cliches (i.e.evil twin)

Dio's involvement in VLR's nonary game was a bootstrap paradox. If Brother's only TRUE motive was to get everyone to the point, where all heroes survived in ZTD, then why he'd send Dio to mess with Ambidex Nonary? He did so because he knew it'd lead to Phi and Sigma jumping more often, leading to the true end of VLR. How did he know to do this? Mind hack during the events of ZTD, presumably, but he was only able to get this info because Sigma and Phi already participated in the game, that Brother needs to interfere with. Basically the same thing as Akane's involvement in 999's Nonary game
Uchi is a hack. This, along with so many bootstrap paradoxes is so fucking hand wavey. No because as I said Uchi shows us only what matters. In ZTD sometimes we see what happens when people leave the shelter. Sometimes we don't and it ends right there. We never see all of a timeline, we see what Uchi needs us to see to tell the story.
If we don't see them, then what they are doing is not that important. They are probably both either unsuccessfully looking for their sisters and/or playing a small role in assisting their plan. Ie we know Akane's money comes from Santa's buisness trading. Maybe he is just off day trading to make Crash Keys money, regardless it's not important. Not like Kyle's absence or Blick WInkel serving no purpose in VLR anyway. Those are either important and no one has figured out why or they are contradictions.

Worst of the trilogy, but a great game.
I liked almost all of the ending in all its cornyness.
I'd have made Akane and Junpei actually fucking address the events in 999 and make Akane less of a fucking Moeblob. I'd makethe twists involving Phi/Mira less obvious and shit, making them more important I hope.I'd have made the AYYLMAO transporter not an alien related thing. Series was getting silly enough without Aliens. They could easily have said it was some kind of magical german thing or something without it shattering the games plot.
Worst: Mira by a million years. Underutilised and her plot points were terribly executed. Don't even get me started on the post game Q team files.
Best: Probably Ten-Month Carlos. Hilarious character. Perfectly encapsulates all the silliness in the series.
Best Twist isgenuinely the Q/Sean/Delta thing. The more I look into it, the better it gets. I actually prefer it to Sigma's twist in VLR. Q = Delta alone wasn't enough, but the way they weaved Sean into it was brilliant.
