Is there a way to NOT have steam use my wallet for a purchase?

I have like 2 euros in my wallet that I like to use for buying trading cards and shit. I don't want to use it when I buy games.

Steam apparently wants to force me to use them and cover the rest with another payment method and I don't want that.

I can't buy the Skyrim Legendary Edition (with the remaster) because I have no credit card and is a bundle and can't be gifted..

If I buy the normal one + DLC, I qualify for the Skyrim Remaster?
>>
>>343233057
why not? there are giant gaming shops that barely make a buck because of online discounts so they sell all the stock they have

either that or they simply sell everything to one of those marketplace traders

Feel free to rate this shit. Still debating on Rocket League, as im not a fan of footbal/racing games and also dont have friends to play it with.Heard its fun tho. Any suggestions?
>>
What can I get with 10€?
>>
>>343233267
Yes they are, my bad.
When you say building games that's what comes to mind, what you're describing now seems more like Rust, Ark, The Long Dark etc. which are survival/crafting games.

it takes like 20-50 minutes to go from character creation to setting up your first settlement

You just follow the main story bit before the bomb drops, leave the vault, talk to robo butler, go to concord, rescue the nerds then follow them back to sanctuary (where your house was before the bombs dropped)

Some settlements are unlocked through side-story missions but you can completely ignore the main story mission for as long as you want.

Also if you're not into leveling or finding materials you can just toggle god mode in console to have infinite building resources
>>
>>343233448

Bought Stalker bundle, Witcher Bundle, subnautica

I'm think of buying some other games, but I have some questions:

if I were to buy just one Total War game, which should it be?

Is The Phantom Pain worth it for a gigantic fan of MGS? I've already been spoiled over the story, and I can look back and laugh, my ptsd is almost gone.

Can I just skip Just Cause 1 and go straight to 2? Should I just skip em all and go straight to 3?

Is Far Cry 4 the same old shit as the last 2 games?

And, finally, why the FUCK is Xenoverse DLC so fucking expensive? each dlc is like 11 canadian duck dollars, and they add nothing

Do you have Ground Zeroes? If not, get that and see if you enjoy the gameplay. If you didn't like GZ don't bother with TPP. If you did like it, TPP is just GZ but less focused and with more content.

Risk of Rain is fun. There are 5 or 6 levels, but the replay factor comes from different classes and tons of items. It can be pretty tough the first few times due to inexperience with classes and powerup knowledge. At the price of a cheeseburger, it's definitely worth it. If you don't like it 90 minutes, just refund it.
>>
>>343236765
Yes. They're not too obtuse outside of a handful instances and the humor/setting makes it engaging. Don't be afraid to use a guide if you're stuck, it's a part of the genre as a whole.
>>
>>343236658
It's absolutely worth it if you have friends to play with, not so much by yourself. It's a side-scrolling shooter rogue-lite where you move through increasingly difficult stages, trying to balance gathering resources with the fact that the difficulty increases over time.

Question for anyone:
I got skyrim as a gift but never played it, tried ESO very briefly (it's shit). The elder scrolls shit is on sale - what would be the best game to play through for someone who never has? I'd prefer an emphasis on freedom rather than being confined to a linear story and don't care if it's ugly or old.
Or is Skyrim my best option since I already own it?
I know I sound lame, i just don't normally play solo rpgs, the last one i played through was kotor.

Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim are all fine, but there are tradeoffs.

Morrowind absolutely has the greatest freedom, role-playing, and depth, but the actual gameplay can be a little clunky. It can take some time to get into, but it's rewarding. Skyrim is smooth, sleek, polished, and about as deep as a puddle. It can be pretty fun for casual adventuring where you don't really have to think about character builds or anything, but the lack of depth makes everything pretty repetitive and the roleplaying aspects are awful. Oblivion is somewhere in between and it feels much more "sandboxy" than the other two due to level scaling and being able to travel to every city in the world from the beginning. It has a fantastic expansion.

tl;dr: Opinions, play whichever appeals to you.

Honestly, most people here would probably say Morrowind, but I'd say go ahead and try out Skyrim first. If you enjoy it, then go back and check out Morrowind and Oblivion. They're all good games in their own right, that focus more on exploration of the world you're in, rather than forcing you into a linear quest line.
>>
>>343237292
steam version of deus ex is completely fine. make sure to get gmdx v8.0 for a better experience
>>
>>343237195
If that exists, then sure, the PC version is probably fine. I don't know if anyone has made HD texture packs for emulation or anything. The default 30FPS in the PS2 and PC versions is pretty awful for the combat system, though, so definitely look into a 60FPS patch.

Are there any RPGish games where you can play a warrior that isn't just smacking enemies with a stick? Always like techniques and shit that make fighters worth playing over wizards.
>>
>>343237030
Most everyone will tell you Morrowind is the high point of the series, but the mechanics are hideously dated and you might find yourself wrestling with them to keep on playing.

Honestly, I'd recommend Oblivion to start the series off. It has the comfiest atmosphere, lacks the mechanical restraints of Morrowind, and once you're out of the intro dungeon you're free to tell the main quest to dick off and just start wandering, and you should.

You already have Skyrim, so you could start off with that one, but it's a downgrade in most regards from the previous games and I've just never felt myself wanting to play it again after quitting out. Also, it feels like ass.

Morrowind is kinda clunky, but absolutely brilliant if you can look past that. With some graphic mods (MGSO and that compilation if you can't be bothered to find single visual mods) it looks sexy as hell too. It also has great mods; read a guide, there's no problem modding it on your first playthrough.

Oblivion unmodded is a pain in the ass due to the level scaling and potato faces, but with mods it's probably the best of the three. As before, refer to a modding guide. The RPG elements are still okay, but not as dominant as in Morrowind. The quests are not as great overall as in Morrowind, but it has a few 10/10 quests. Magic with mods is awesome, if you're a warrior theres great mods for melee combat, and if you're a thief there are mods for that too (even making it Thief-esque). Its expansion is 10/10.

Skyrim with mods can be a great game, but it's really shallow. There's almost no RPG elements, the quests are mostly shit, and the combat is worse than in modded Oblivion.

Divinity 2 is pretty good. I believe it's a bit similar to MMO's, but don't quote me on that as I don't play those. After some time I got really tired of it and felt it was bland as fuck, but that might just be my ADD.

Give it a go, you don't need to play any other Divinity game first.

Nothing, well I can't speak for Salt but others are great. XCOM2 might be better than XCOM 1, LISA is good, and TLD is still in Early Access but gets updated and a LOT and has had constant stream of updates. Currently as a survival sandbox it's pretty great, and they added some challenges which are pretty damn fun too.

Oblivion is fucking great when you mod it.
/v/ went from hating it to loving it as people here have to be contrarian, but the fact is that modded Oblivion is better than Skyrim in literally every single way. It doesn't beat the RPG elements and fantastic design/lore/atmosphere of Morrowind, but it's better in everything else.

However, be advised that modding Oblivion can be really difficult, as it's prone to get perform bad and crash.
