I did it by mistake when the fragment first appeared and instantly regretted it since it showed a bunch of spoilers right afterwards. I just turned my system off and decided not to touch it again till I was sure I was meant to.

seems the game really wants you to play C team first, sequentially, but I'm not interested in that because fuck Carlos.
I jumped right into D team immediately because sigma and phi are my bros, and it jumps ahead to each team being in their own rooms, mentioning shit I haven't seen before. I get "that's the way the game is", but it's really confusing to figure out what is when
Also the audio for voices is WAY too low and music is WAY too high. I have to put it to 30%bgm and max voices, and still the shitty audio almost drowns out Zero. Right now I have the audio fed into a receiver and it's a lot better that way.
I do like that it shows a log and the log plays audioclips though.

Fragment system looks like a radar screen to help nail in that fact. That's why Sean shoots the camera on the Perceptive end, and why everyone turns to the camera during the old man reveal. You were actually playing as Q to figure out a timeline where you could save all of humanity

Not really. They discuss how Back to the Future's interpretation of time travel differs from their own, and that they multiple universes theory is better. Here's the main spoilers for those who haven't read them yet:Left is Zero
His spiritual power was so strong he entered the morphogenic field and can possess people
The morphogenic field has corrupted him and caused him to lose his mind
He often alternates between possessing a golem (Zero) and Gab, although occasionally he'll possess Phi
"The snail" is referring to Diana
Kyle is also in the morphogenic field and possesses Sigma at times
Kyle vs. Left showdown in the field
Brother is Seven
Seven has been possessed by Left since the end of the second Nonary Game
He's currently comatose in a hidden part of the facility as Left is now possessing the Zero golem and Gab
Q is actually a part of Left's conscience that contains what's left of his sense of morality, in physical form
Carlos's sister is Mira, who has been infected with a special modified version of Radical-6 that causes her to kill others
Junpei is not actually Junpei, he's a Free the Soul agent pretending to be Junpei to make Akane vulnerable
Akane legitimately doesn't know what's happening, this is the first time in her life she's not in control and is losing her mind
Eric will eventually be Quark's biological father in the VLR timeline

Timeline BCD though cannot exist because in timeline A she is dead, 100% dead, she doesn't survive, nobody sets up the Nonary game, shes dead for good right which negates timeline BCD because they can ONLY exist if she survived and set up the game in Timeline A.
There is no catalyst timeline where she can actually live and set up the game thus there is no scenario for Junpei to transmit to the past and save her life, because she's dead in timeline A and she would have had to set up that paradox BEFORE she died for it to work as a paradox.
I realize it's supposed to be a paradox, but it doesn't make any fucking sense as a paradox because there is really nothing kicking the paradox off.
I remember her in the game though talking about how she can see paths in the future or some shit? So maybe I'm thinking I'm missing is that timelines fork on action, so when she died in timeline A, that created a split with a timeline where she didn't die and a timeline where she did die.

Santa lied about her death in order to save her. Since Snake was on the ship too, we can assume that he knew the truth about Akane's death as well. If we are going to believe that Seven didn't lie, then we can assume that a fake memory was implanted in his mind somehow. If I tried to explain that in the story, though, I was worried people would think I was just coming up with random excuses, so I left it up to the player's interpretation. If it makes more sense to say that both Snake and Seven were in on the plot with Santa and lied to move things along, I'm totally fine with that.

It's still worth it. The body of the game has a lot of great scenes but I think they kindawent overboard with all the SHIFTing and stuff. VLR's use of the timeline jumping was very cool but I think characters constantly shifting and teleporting everywhere really reduced the gravity of all the poignant scenes.
