The game was alright, I feel like people who are saying it was MGS5 tier are somewhat blowing it out of proportion. The game had a lot of great moments but yeah the ending does suck ass.Also, the concept of timeline jumping (which I thought was really well done in VLR) was way overused ZTD and really removed the weight from your decisions. The game didn't have an amazing meta twist like the introduction of the morphogenetic field in 999 or Sigma's jumping ability in VLR.
At least the game now has some closure and Uchikoshi can hopefully begin working on something new.
The epilogue thing was lazy as fuck, they could have at least throw some pictures.

I really enjoyed their interactions and the scene like after the Monty Hall problem where Junpei and Carlos give the mask to Akane so she can survive were so good. I'm just disappointed by the way they handled the jumping; it really reduced the gravity of those scenes. Good puzzles, great characters and intrigue and foreshadowing was for the most of the game top notch. It's still probably the best game I've played this year. VLR was more advanced mechanically and arguably had more 'hugh' points overall, but it never really had a moment that ruvalled the big reveal at the end of 999 and the extremely big cliffhanger ending plus lacking quality of several cast members hampered it. 7.5/10
ZTD starts out great, has a long run of being excellent, then entirely fails to follow up on VLR in a satisfying manner, has several stupid plot developments, and is ultimately an extremely unsatisfying finale to the series. 4/10

Q team was something of a wild element. All the participants are people we know jack shit about, whereas the only other completely new character is Carlos, who is both stuck with two characters we already know and is the player.
Thing is, Q team ended pretty bland beyond and all it has going for it is Eric's tendency to flip the fuck out when he finds a gun and the fact that Eric is both an idiot and a gigantic wiener was sometimes sort of amusing when he had the kid acting as a straight man. Mira felt especially bland/underutilized despite beingan underlying cause for a fuckload of the shit that happens in the series..

Eh, I could see 2 different perspectives on this. Some people don't mind the mix of puzzles and plot when it gets down to the wire while other people just want to get a plot dump near the end instead of having to deal with some puzzles halfway through.
Personally I'm the former, I like the puzzles and they give a little break from the info dump that you might be getting. In the end though it's just personal preference.
(Also speaking of the puzzles I still think 999 had the best designed ones. The puzzles were a lot more about logic, clever thinking and it really felt a lot more like an escape the room situation. VLR threw in mini game puzzles everywhere which drove me up the fucking wall at times, mainly those godforsaken tile puzzles. ZTD sits in between those 2 I'd say. The puzzles are a good mix of both games without getting as frustrating as the VLR puzzles got at times)

Honestly I feel like at this point 999 feels like a sort of gaiden game to VLR and ZTD despite coming first. Honestly it kinda feels like VLR and ZTD were originally made to be completely disconnected to 999 but the 999 connection was shoehorned in at the last minute rather crudely.
Like there are nods to characters from 999 and obviously some show up in the game but others we just don't hear about despite being teased about possibly hearing more about them. I mean when you think about it the morphagenetic field stuff from 999 was pretty out there but then we jump to VLR and all of a sudden we're on mars in the far future and we have to jump back in time to prevent a virus outbreak. I mean, while I like the story I just felt it got disconnected from the series it was supposed to be a part of very fast.
