PC will be the definitive version. I've been seeing a bunch of Vita screenshots from the reviewers and the lack of AA makes the game look really messy. The 3DS version is an obvious graphically downgrade but the only reason I won't buy it for collector purposes is because Europe is digital only.

Well, I might have worded it a little wrong.
FBR gets released (likely airborne), R-6 gets injected (likely manually or into water supply).
The only reason R-6 is even there is to prepare against FBR.
Brother's entire plan is to wipe out ALL of humanity, which is very obviously what FBR is for.
So Radical-6 is going to be a contingency plan against it. Whether they should release it or not is the question they need to answer, but if they have NO information, the best option is to release it. Which is obviously what leads to VLR.
It's super unlikely one team will be in control of FBR, since FBR seems to be designed for Brother's purposes.

You're right--it was foolish of me to entertain the possibility.
I only got the idea because some reviewers are saying that something about the ending leaves an opening for a sequel, and I figure that there's no way that Uchi actually meant that. Just thought that a remaster/expanded edition would be a way for him to revisit the series in a more realistic way than, say, another game.

That's just on a surface level, it's obvious that it's meant as either foreshadowing or a red-herring. Whatever it is Uchi is taking great pleasure tormenting us with it.
