That said Widow still needs more nerfs. Her SMG needs to be toned way down, if you destroy her venom mine it shouldn't alert her, and her ult's charge time needs to be made the same as D.Va's.

10% increase on ult charge was nothing though. It pushed her down to the same damage to charge ratio as Winston and Reinhardt, who are both melee characters, with one doing 60 dps and the other doing a little over 70, and neither of which can headshot.

Meanwhile Widow deals far more DPS and at an, obviously, much longer range. Widow literally gets 21% ult on a fully charged headshot, even after the nerf.

While everyone was (rightfully) bitching about Mcree and Widow being OP, what everyone seems to ignore is how OP 'healers' are. While pretty much all 'pro' teams had double mcree and a widow, they also ALL pretty much had to have a Lucio and Mercy as well.

I don't want to see the meta of the game devolve into being FORCED to have 2 healers or else you're not competitive. Buffing Zen or adding another support isn't going to fix it. Mercy and Lucio are simply too important right now.

I think Mercy's biggest problem is that she charges her ult so quickly and can neutralize every single ult in the game with it. I got a 5 kill Deathblossom earlier followed by a revive completely neutralizing any potential for a push we had.

So shoot him 1-2 times, roll, and then kill him. Just because you can't E to Right Click and kill the almost the entire game's cast doesn't mean he's weak, it means he's not idiot-proof like he was before.

His gun still does 140 DPS, 280 if you manage to headshot twice, which is higher than most of the characters in the game by quite a bit. Is it really too much to ask people to aim in an FPS these days?

Yes, but the gender-bent versions are also semi-different characters than their opposite counterpart. The Male DH doesn't respond to certain characters in the same way as the Female one, for instance.

But Overwatch has clearly established characters. On top of that you can't just change a class's silhouette in an FPS and thinkit won't have an impact on gameplay.

No it's not. Have you played the game? The mine getting destroyed/going off lets you know that someone is there. That's the point of the mine, well that and some damage and a slow for 5 sec.

Your reward is not getting damaged and slowed for 5 seconds. Players will hear you coming because this game has Thief level quality sound design when it comes to footsteps and everything else.

Mercy needs to have a very fast ult charge or else her ult becomes useless or too important. In the early/mid beta ults charged much slower and mercy gameplay consisted of getting your ult then waiting in the spawn to revive your team, it was too important to even risk dying. Seeing as she is extremely easy to kill and her ult requires specific circumstances (a dead teammate) to even use it's only logical that her ult charge quickly so that it can always be up, the idea is that the main aspect of her ultimate is choosing when to use it and keeping yourself alive to use it. Sadly her ultimate is the only thing that even remotely gives the defensive team on control point/payload maps a remote chance of winning.

If the enemy team has a Mercy then you need to acknowledge that, not just blitz through like she doesn't exist and then throw a fit when she revives people.

Not a big one. Reapers damage needs a nerf. One shotting or two shotting people and tanks, healing, being invulnerable and reporting is silly.

76 I don't know how to nerf, give him recoil after shooting rockets or reduce their splash damage or Nerf his damage from far away slightly or slow down the rockets to Pharahs level.

I'm utterly shit and can't aim for shit. My k/d with McRee was 1.76 before the Nerf.

I think they should take a second or two of animation time to target someone instead of blinking from target to target the EXACT millisecond they are visible to them. I dunno, give them a slight dmg buff to balance it out if you want but change it plss.

I love playing her but she is so inferrior to other heroes. If you wanna go defense, play torbjorne instead. If you wanna play attack, pick ANY other hero than her. I say give her beam a longer range and her charge shot a faster travel-time. That should make her somewhat playable in attack and even capture the point-style matches.

I think your problem is you play Mercy and refuse to admit her ult is broken as fuck. She stands around a corner and heals or damage boosts someone, and even if they die, she's got 50%+ ult in under 10 seconds. Every single game mode is focused on small areas, either for offense to capture or defense to defend. The game is built on offensive pushes. People are GOING to be clustered, and the place they are most likely to cluster is the place where her ult is going to help the most. It is the biggest swing of anything with the fastest charge time and fastest startup of the ult itself. She's not even a bad character in the first place.

There's a little yellow up arrow icon that shows up above the Venom Mine icon when you put one down.

The same one that shows up for Junkrat's bear trap and concussion mine and other shit from other heroes. That "hurr I don't play snipers so I wouldn't know" grandstanding shit doesn't apply here.

The arrow goes away once the mine is blown or destroyed, and you don't have to wait for the first mine to be destroyed to put down another and replace the old one.

Your post didn't make sense because you complained about a big sign in your face after I pointed out there's a second one by your skill icons, and then talked about "it'd be nice if it did this one thing it already did".

It was designed to be an alarm, making it not be an alarm is pretty retarded, and the game rewards you for locating and blowing said traps with fire units. It's also on a big-ass cooldown so it's not like she can just cover the map with them, and being on such a cooldown means it's very important to her that she knows its status 24/7.

I don't really see why you're so mad about indicators for obvious shit like traps being destroyed existing when there are like 20 other visual cues for their destruction. Next thing you know, you'll want teammate position indicators removed from the HUD because the enemy shouldn't know where you ambushed and killed their teammate because somebody sees that and shows up to kill you back and you think that's unfair.

Can't be instantly killed via body shot anymore which is good.

Still can't compete healing-wise with Lucio or Mercy. Can only secondary support, solo heal Zenyatta does not suffice.

What the game calls "eliminations" are a combination of your kills and assists. This means getting even one hit with 76's rifle and then having a teammate kill the target gives you an "elimination". The real kill counter is the "final blows" stat.

I wouldn't mind seeing her ult charge while the teleporter is deployed, even at a low charge rate, since the telepoter only gets seven uses now. She really has no business being in the Support category, seeing as she's a mirror image of Torb in every way except a more team-friendly ult.

Generally speaking, most games calculate kills by last hit. The "final blows" stat divided by deaths is comparable to a normal K/D. If you want kills only you participated in, that would be "solo kills".

It doesn't work that way.

If you do 1 HP damage while your opponent is at 100% nothing will happen and you won't get the elimination.

You will only get it when that 1 HP is the final blow.

You will get the point however if you do over 50% damage to the target and the someone else will deliver the final blow.

If you want more detail how that works watch a couple of Overwatch videos by blizzard where the explain shit like "favor the shooter" and the like.

She was ok before the nerf. Removing quickscoping is quite stupid since it makes her feel more clunky. I don't mind the damage tbqh, although, I would have left her bodyshot unchanged and boosted Zenyatta's health to 175. I think tracer should go down in one shot, considering how fast she is, and how easy she can dodge bullets and confuse anyone with her blink.

Reversing order here, but how does any of this have anything to do with their Favor the Shooter concept? Favor the Shooter is about latency, hit registration, and their 20-tick servers.

Anyways, I'm not going to go watch every dev video about Overwatch to find this one piece. Unless you'd like to link me proof stating otherwise, here's what I gather;

- Eliminations are both kills and assists rolled into one stat. Presumably, this was done to keep the focus on teamwork. Eliminations do not translate well into a K/D-comparable ratio, because the assists part is team-dependent. Despite this, I'm pretty sure the K/D ratio listed by Blizzard uses Eliminations. Take that as you will.

- Final Blows are kills that you personally finished off. Regardless of the enemy's HP before or while you were fighting them, you were the one that landed the last hit. This is how "kills" are calculated in just about every multiplayer shooter in existence, and is usually used in the K/D ration to show some sort of quantified skill level. This is what you'd use to show skill level between Offense characters (which was the original point; the original Anon was comparing his K/D of Mcree and 76).

- Solo Kills are kills that no one else helped you with, you took down the enemy player 100%. This isn't a common stat for games to show, and is generally not used for K/D ratios.

As far as I'm aware "favor the shooter" has absolutely nothing to do with how the game defines eliminations, it's just a netcode thing. What >>341600591 says sounds right to me from my own experience with the game.
