Littens 2nd Evo looks kinda cool but the mane and such look too bland for this generation.
Popplio's is the best and reminds me a little of Wan Piece. Litten's is so good I would forgive it for being another fighting fire. It's basically Tiger Mask. I was never going to be impressed with Rowlet's final form, but Robin Hood is better idea than ass creed. Even if this is all fake I'm really happy this guy went above and beyond. We've come a long way from gen 4 fakes.

I still think the Circus Freaks are real. Gen 6 had a running theme with the starters, which leads me to believe this one will too. These new fakes don't have anything in common. A mermaid, robin hood and a wrestler? Where's the connection?

Also consider how Popplio goes from a clown to a mermaid. What middle stage could completely change the concept like that and why would the completely drop the original theme? Litten's fireballs are also dropped, instead now he burps acid or something? The only one true to form is the bird one, but I still don't really know about that. Rowlett's beak is so distinctive that I don't think they'd just drop that design aspect.

Blastoise is basically the only example. Every other stater has had some connection to their first form. Even Samurott continued the theme of samurai, despite turning into a different animal.

I think since everyone presumes that the last two regions Unova and Kalos had a theme. Unova had royalty while Kalos had RPG class themes.
But if Kalos and Alola are connected due to the Zygarde 100% theory. Alola leaked starters could be a continuation of the RPG classes, Rowlet is the Ranger/Archer, Litten is the Monk/Grappler, and Popplio is the Bard/Singer.

I don't buy these leaks. There's just too much inconsistency. Too many details that are just lost int eh final forms, such as Popplio's clown motif, and his weird little finger lines, which always seemed to me to be a specific part of his design. And rowlet's fancy boy look with the bowtie doesn't really translate to "Robin Hood" at all.

Froakie changed somewhat, but the origami hate introduced in Frogadier remained.
Chespin was pretty consistent, all that really happened to it was bone lengthening surgery and putting a clothes basket on its back.
THe only starter I can think of that carries nothing to the final form is Torchic. Even Squirtle, despite losing the fluffy tail, has the same shell design as Blastoise.

Thing is, being a clown is Popplio's entire schtick. It's like if Oshawoot suddenly stopped being a samurai and became a geisha.
