I'd argue Burst wasn't that hard since it was just Aerial Rave: The Game. I know since I did play Burst. Hell, you can cheese pretty much every enemy in the game with aerial raves, including end-game boss Daidouji. And you'll need to do that otherwise you'll get knocked out by her level 2 ninja art which is an instant KO.

They aren't quite the same game, or even have anything to do with one another. SK2 is in the vein of Burst's traditional beat-em-up style with more of a 2.5D viewpoint and an emphasis on partners. Versus is like a stripped down musou game. Burst has a darker and more coherent storyline whereas SV is kinda hammy across the board, either very silly or hilariously edgy depending on which school you play as. Ultimately it's a matter of preference due to just how different they are.

I got the plat in SV and EV, I couldn't even finish Onechanbaras story. You'll spam the same shit over and over and over and over again. It never fucking ends. At first someone told me the bosses were actually fun but they are the same fucking shit, only where they're invincible for like 80% of the fight with short windows where you can attack them. Other than that you figure out your bread and butter combo and you basically repeat the same shit for several hours until you either throw the disc out of the window or you just give up.
