there are a few spots which only pharah and a few others can get to, that being said if you could just chill on top of all buildings you would pretty much never have to be on the ground ever and that would make Pharah almost invincible against a few other characters.
Its all about picking the right time to pop up into the air and knowing how to manage your fuel to stay up there as long as you can/is needed.

Dva and Reaper are a bit underwhelming in my opinion, but if you play them well they can be really good. Dva is decent at both flanking and soaking up damage, while Reaper can top eliminations through good positioning. Pharah on the other hand is really good, just under appreciated. You can fuck up defenses and pushes alike by getting above and behind everyone. Just don't be a retard Pharah that thinks she's a 1-to-1 Soldier clone who can stay grounded for 90% of the match.

You boost to the objective, then skate around and heal and press E. Eventually you'll get ult and your teammates will do all the work. His gun needs to do something more interesting than "pitiful damage and pushing"

You're using him wrong if you think he's boring desu. He's easily the most fun healer. He can go into a group of 5 with speed boost, literally punch their healer in the face and still get away. He has the arguably the best mobility in the game, can get tons of kills while healing, knock people off the map with right click, and easily single out and reliably 1v1 fragile heroes like Tracer/Genji/Widow thanks to his self healing and mobility. Some people having abilities that let them get higher and some not mean that it feels like you are missing out a huge element with some characters. It is also annoying how there is cool down on this especially when it looks like you can climb a building but actually you can't and just wasted it

If you don't mind getting killed for the umpteenth time by somebody pressing a button while looking in your general direction instead of aiming something skill-based, you'll probably enjoy it. Additionally, you can not play this game with the expectation of "maining" a character. If you do, you won't have fun. The game punishes this mindset, and sucks the cock of anybody who constantly switches characters to hard-counter whatever the enemy team has. It's common to find yourself in a situation where you cannot play the character you enjoy the most because the enemy team has somebody playing the rock to your scissors 24/7, even if you switch.

Widows' grapple hook seems to be more generous with what it'll latch onto on console.

This game is so utterly devoid of personality, intrigue or any genuine, human emotion. I feel sick after about 30 minutes of playing it.

Unlimited grenade spam, sticky jump does zero self-damage, bear trap for easy mode grenade bodyshots, drops a bunch of grenades on death, and his ult is effectively a crit rocket combined with a nikita

Holys fucking shit mate, this game it's acomplete rip off from Team Fortress 2. It feels kind of dull, will try beta, but man Blizzard seems to just be hitting dead horses since hearthstone, all their games from there has been rehashed versions using their characters.

What does being "on fire" does?
Roadhog is probably the least fun merc to play against. Ridiculous health pool and healing combined with a low effort death sentence for most characters in the game. It feels like his design philosophy was "let's make a character that requires as little aiming as possible while simultaneously having a stupidly high amount survivability".
