Lucio is fucking useless. The jack of all trades, master of none support character. Every other support character at least accomplishes their jobs efficiently. Lucio just helps get your team to the point a bit faster at the start of the round and then you just kinda mosquito around the map trying to do damage.
Then when you remember you can heal, you try to do that, but each projectile heals so fucking little health that you realize Lucio is a shit waste of space and decide to play a support that can actually do something, like Mercy.

Once you go through all the characters, there's nothing really left in the game. At that point you're just playing for the possible gratification of opening a loot box - which contains just a bunch of sprays, that for some reason have to be unlocked and equipped individually with each character. There's absolutely no individual skill ceiling because characters are locked into archetypes of either high damage low health, or low health, medium damage and high mobility, or just low health low damage high utility and vice versa. The tactical component is completely shallow and you need 5 friends to play the game with in order to go with the meta of the current map, otherwise you endanger your sanity. There's no twitch skills required, no reflexes, no map knowledge, barely any character knowledge. It's a boring game and I honestly feel bad for my friends who actually bought it because they wanted to play it early.

Bouncing between allies is easy as hell with Mercy, and a great way to stay safe and mobile under pressure. Also, I can keep my attention on my surroundings at all times, because I can heal without having to aim at my target for longer than a quarter second.

She gets targeted first every time anyway because everyone knows how good she is. Lucio gets ignored 'til he's the last one left (and that happens fairly often, because Lucio can't heal or do enough damage to support his teammates) and then he dies 'cause he just happens to be there. When I can count on one finger the map where Lucio does well, that means the character is awful.

If the enemy team lets you get down to 10 seconds left on the objective, they're bad anyway and you deserve the win to begin with.
It's the sad reality of the character, but hey, there's a silver lining to everything: I've seen some sick Lucio tricks from closed beta where Lucio were running on walls and getting back to the front lines faster than any other character in the game. It's just a shame that once Lucio's there he can't do anything, but it's the thought that counts, right?

You do understand that he has two modes? One buffs speed and other heals everyone around him continuously? When you press E the speed or healing increases. He can freely change between those modes.

That's great, but it assumes that your teamwork is actually good, and each individual player is capable of effectively doing their job. Lucio makes a lot of assumptions, and like a chain, it takes only one weak link to be easily broken.

Give a shield to everyone, it's permanent until they die. Set up turrets in unexpected places, put them on walls and such. Then sit around and do nothing because you'll never hit anyone with the alt fire and the normal fire requires you to be right next to the enemy.

Her only redeeming factor is her ult because it's a massive pain to deal with. The explosion seems to ignore every fucking wall in existence. The only way to counter it is to run a mile away, and that's pretty much impossible when she gets you trapped in a corner of the map.

Hanzo is hard to use, I wouldn't say he's bad.
He biggest problem is that he's squishy and needs to charge to do any decent damage. If you plan to use Hanzo just be read to find safe spots or get out quick and set up to attack from the shadows

Can you have a premade team against an entire team of solo guys? I got put with a 5-man gorilla squad and it was seriously lame. The other team seemed to be all solo and couldn't muster the teamwork to beat it.
This game really reminds me of MOBA trash with how important synergizing and team-working is, I was sort of expecting an FPS in the style of TF2, but it sort of feels like DOTA: the FPS with how hard it is to miss anything.
only issue I have with the game is that fact that McCree can just combo any hero from full health down to 0 within a second. Makes it real difficult to actually do anything as a tank. I end up just hoping he misses his flashbang half the time.

I'm sorry son but I think you fail to realize the true benefits of Lucio.
For starters, he doesn't even need actively seek out people to buff. Meaning that if your team sticks together he already is has a larger output of healing. This means he's all over kart pushing and point capping/defending. Having mercy heals on everyone on a point or kart during his E is good.
Secondly, he's always pumping out damage. Mercy has to change weapons do even get a pistol. Lucio not only has a good gun for spamming chokes but it also has a gtfo secondary fire to get him out of hairy situations. Ive escaped road hog hooks because of a blast back and a speed boost; and while not as damaging as Zen's orbs his blast do contribute.
Thirdly, his ult is king of support ults. But I got a team rez says the mercy player? Whats better, stomping a team with an ult or erasing the fact that your team just got blown out. Here's a clue, if your team just got stomped rezing them in locations where the enemies know exactly where they are (because their giant glowing things standing still for like three seconds.) its always the greatest. Ive killed people twice in a row because of this, and while a good ult its not perfect. Lucio's ult is king, in instantly gives people health as shields. It has no start up time, and the results are instantaneous. The perfect push/defend ult.

If it's not a troll pick where everyone picks the same character, it's a tightly knit team of people who compliment each others playstyles and play really well. His turret doesn't do enough damage to be a threat to tanks, but its insta lockon and 360 degree range will kill flankers.
