Ironically most of the weapons that come with base high scaling have pretty bad base damage comparatively. So it seems like you're meant to just turn one of those C-D scaling weapons into B-A with gems.

The entire area is full of super fast enemies that do nothing but retardedly screech and spam attacks at you, plus they mob you.

So far i'm having loads of fun, i made a mercenary and i'm upgrading the mercenary sword.
I'm aiming to make a quality build so i can try as many weapons as possible.
The only boss i've died to so far is the crystal sage, that mid combat twist was fucking amazing.
I feel like i should deal more damage, but i've yet to find another weapon i like, i'm trying to stay away from weapons from the previous games since their moveset is similar.
I've also found the double twin dagger that allows you to step like Bloodborne.
Feels like a blogpost kek, but i'm loving the game so far.

Oh, I forgot you didn't have the doll. Go way back to the crucifixion woods, there will be a building right of the two watchdogs and a boss fight against what seems to be logan. After that head up to a cathedral area and the boss has the doll when you kill it. In case you miss it, siegward ends up in a well near the second bonfire eventually

I like being able to flatten enemies with a huge club or Zweihander, but I've NEVER played a DEX build and I feel like I'm missing out.
Game definitely lacks that sense of adventure. There are some pretty areas, but the actual level design is a bit simpler than DS1 or DeS. Huge improvement from DS2.

Large Club Mind.
Great Club has a worse moveset and dings off of walls even worse than Large Club. Generally the larger you go the worse the moveset. Large Club is right in that sweet spot with A scaling with Heavy Gem and a really good moveset.

I'm playing sorc. It's the same fucking shit as the last two games, which was the same shit all throughout the game.
Melee has like a million different weapons. No diversity in catalysts. The stupid little stick you start off with is better than most every other catalyst in the game so you're stuck using that shit. Just spam soul arrows at everything. All other spells are shit. Magic isn't reliable for PvP so you have to use your gimp weapon, health, and stagger against stronger characters.

I was able to beat him after about 20 attempts, I tried strafing around him but most of the time he will either track you real quick and it won't matter than you are running behind him or the hit box on his slashes will touch you even when he is facing forward. He's also extremely aggressive.

I honestly think THE CHAMP is harder than the final boss. Final Boss has a scary moveset, but a predictable one. Champ mixes it up with 8 move long combos where he switches up which move goes where every fucking time and is WAY more aggressive about not letting you heal

Holy shit that was the single least fun moment of any Souls game thus far, just BARELY scraping past THAT PART in Anor Londo back in DaS1.
Maybe I was just underleveled/suboptimized but I could not stand that fucking fight. It wasn't one of the 'oh this is hard but I'm still having fun getting my ass kicked' fights (Artorias is the best example of this IMO, but even less awesome bosses like Queelag, Iron Golem, or the Gargoyles still got that feeling across); it's just frustrating and 'cheap'.

I'm not sure if I didn't have enough poise or whatever but it was a pain in the ass hitting the Deacon without getting gangraped by the fatties who didn't stagger.
I've been running the ice sword for my main weapon with Great Scythe as a sub, the scythe worked fantastically against everyone other than the fatties but was only doing about 120 damage per heavy attack. I just couldn't do enough damage fast enough and would get picked off by fire shots or fat guy tackles that came from behind me.
