I got it at the late night release. Played it for 11 hours, went to class for an hour, returned, played it for 7 hours, tried to sleep, couldnt, smoked weed, passed out on bed, slept through classes, got out of bed, played dark souls for 6 hours straight and counting.

exploring and a few enemies drop the, forgot which
from really managed to stagger the material drops well in this game, it's not until the catacombs that you're raking in the titanite shards and even then the large titanites are like gold dust still
sure beats dark souls 2 where you get a titanite slab after the 3rd bonfire

Currently SL 37, mostly focusing on Dex with the uchikawaiitana. I got it super early and it's really good, but I'm getting a bit exhausted of it.

Same issue, 90% of summon signs I've tried were a bust.
I think the game has a tendency to display old summon signs. Sometimes I'll walk up to a fog door and see summon signs appear, only to see them disappear, as if the game realized how old they were and threw them out.

Is this the best boss fight in the game? I'm still amazed at how nucely everything, from the setting to the theme was done. (I actually listened to the final boss theme and felt it diminishes how great Gwyn's was)
I already did the Peak and seems there's some optional boss left though.I loved how it was a backwards O&S, instead of fighting two characters who struggle to work together and even get in each other's way, then a stronger version of one, you fight a gimped dude followed by two who are literal bros with each other and actively try to combine their techniques to fuck you up

I'm getting pretty annoyed by the design these games use. I played all other installments so maybe it's just me getting sick of the shtick, but I'm starting to buy into this artificial difficulty thing. Dying to some bullshit mob to lose fifteen minutes of progress when you just wanna fucking get to the boss already and you can't be arsed to keep kiting constantly so you run and die cause you're careless and don't give a shit isn't doing it for me anymore. It all feels so tedious. Yet I keep playing because I like the environments. I hate fighting though, except for bigger 1v1 enemies. Souls pvp is the main attraction to me for that reason. I feel like it would be more fun to me if it was like infinity blade, boss rush with sword battles in between. Or something like For Honor.
Is there a boss armor vendor in the game? In fact I've barely found any armor at all. Where is the gold covetous ring?

It's not just that, it's that the entire thing feels like a slog. There's too much sameness. I know where items are. Hiding stuff while not hiding it is overdone and most of the time you pick up trash. Combat is not exciting to me anymore, it's mostly trash mobs that try to gank you. They're not hard to take care of, it just takes a while. In the long run that just causes frustration for the wrong reasons. I really like the bosses and strong unique enemies, which are challenging for the good reasons. Cut the git gud boner for this series and just admit that 5 enemies that flail around and jusr fuck you up is bad game design, and a black knight for example who defends and punishes is good game design.

I cannot begin to fathom how after every game in this series you can just break down and cry about flailing enemies. I am truly sorry you don't enjoy the game series anymore but I don't know what to tell you.
I ran through the game on launch. I'm running through it again and can count the number of time something took me by surprise in a stealth attack on one hand and half the time when something like the irithyl hag dropped down from the rafters or the skeleton ball comes out it's not an instant kill.
These games have never been about running forward brazenly and you really shouldn't be getting into these scenarios where these enemies are causing an inconvenience for you.
Flailing enemies have been around since day one and you just stop for half a second to see how long they flail my man.
I know it's dismissive to just say get gud but honestly if you're having such a hard time dealing with enemies who strategies haven't changed in six years all I can honestly say is reevaluate the way you play these games because nothing has changed in terms of how enemies comes at you.
It's really hard to take your complaints as valid when you have to add the caveat "please keep in mind I am NOT DYING to these things I PROMISE but however they are bad game design because I am having problems but again remember NOT DYING". I know you're going out of your way to say more than "it's not fair I died" but all these complaints just stem from someone upset that something they specifically had trouble with stopped their progress and the only real answer is to get gud.

If you're going to level str and dex equally, yes. Refined stones can be put on a lot of basic weapons to give you decent scaling with both stats. It's only REALLY good if you're focus doesn't include magic or pyromancies.

It is stupid easy mode. I've been invaded twice and the last guy had a butcher knife. He was playing like an absolutely scrubby retard. I was completely outplaying him, landed like 10 hits without him touching me then he hits me once and it staggers me and then he hits me again and I'm dead. So it was basically a one touch kill that took no skill to use.
