I've sewn your stuff and I have to say that the medium isn't really helping you. I'd suggest trying to sketch a lot with just pen and paper and more simple shapes. Like basic stuff. Geometry, objects etc. Shading them, understanding them and drawing them again from memory. Even just lines. ( People underestimate drawing lines )

Go check out some books. Something like "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain" or "Keys to Drawing" for info on drawing/studying from life, and "Fun with a Pencil" or "The Vilppu Drawing Manual" for drawing from imagination. Those are all good books for beginners, and I think most of them can be found in the Mega link in the OP.

The pencil brush is free, he charges for his other brushes (at the bottom of his longwinded article). I think I bumped the brush density up to 100% (from 50%) and changed the texture to Mortar (his was "swirly clouds 2" or something).
