That's because a lot of the recent ones haven't been reposted, but I'm usually able to at least find them asking about it and connect back up with them. Out of all the deliveries I've done and have in progress right now, there are only 2 where I've posted multiple wips in an attempt to catch the OR's attention to see if they were actually still around and not just to share an update so they knew I was working on it, and in one of those instances the OR was definitely gone so I knew I didn't need to prioritize it. The only other instance has been this Albus picture and it did catch the OR's attention, so now I know I'll be able to connect with them and make sure they get the finished one.

Different guy, but I really understand what you mean, since i had the same kind of issue. I'd say the best thing to do is to try drawing poses, without finishing them and making characters on them or anything, once through direct tracing, and a second time having the reference off to the side or something, until the 2 drawings start to be closer and closer. Once you're comfortable with that you can just look at poses for a bit and be ready to make something similar, even if you dont want things to be exactly the same.

I can't let her down. Funnily enough I found a way to explain the issue I have with an example. Say I wanted to draw thissexyman. Now I can draw him by directly copying the reference however if I wanted to draw him in a different angle that's a different story. I can't draw hisgorgeousface at a different angle even with a reference. That should make it easier to understand if anyone else has some advice. But I think I got a decent idea of what I should do. I just want my waifu to be happy is all.

Especially for animu heads. What most beginners fail to realise is that strong fundamentals in realistic facial construction will help with drawing in any style. Learning to draw exclusively in animu will severely limit your ability to emulate the styles of other artists whereas if you can draw in the most fundamental style of all, copying another style will come much more naturally.

While that may happen, it isn't material to the issue being discussed. The other anon wanted to know how to draw better faces, I told him that he should work his way up from the basics instead of starting at a level way above his caliber. In the end even animu style is based on the fundamentals of basic anatomy and a firm grasp on that is much more important than learning the proportions that are endemic to a particular style only.

I can't really help you with that as I'm mostly self-taught. I did use some of Loomis as references but this is the first time I've heard of Vilppu. Honestly though as long as you learn the fundamentals of construction and the appropriate guidelines and methods either will be fine.
