You don't do much punching in BBCP story mode. Aside from a couple contrivances, the fights actually have context and a meaning to actually WHY they're fighting. A couple times were just "I DON'T LIKE YOU, LET'S FIGHT / I'M GOING TO MISTAKENLY FIGHT YOU INSTEAD OF TALKING IT OUT" But nothing as much as the last couple entries.
So you'll only fight when there's reason to fight. Turns out conflicts can be solved through talking. Who knew?

Any Day 2 Tier list is shit. There's no way people have played enough to figure out all the new match-ups and who stands where with all the changes and buffs/nerfs. Even most of the impressions from the pros were just them saying it's too early to say anything solid.
Give it at least a week before taking any tier list at face value.

Haku players tend to use his drive less because it's easily punishable and anybody who played with H-man players a little is wary of it.
Beside his Drive is basically a reversal in the form of a counters, so it's logical that if you overuse it people will start to bait it.

Jin's one thing. After receiving such a huge injury from Ragna at the end of Chronophantasma, even Tager might be able to give him a run for his money. But fighting Murakumos is Ragna's specialty, and he even beat Nu.

It might have been familiarity, I guess. After all, Ragna's fought Nu at least three times now. More if you count past loops. Even if he can't draw out the bulk of his strength, his body probably remembers how to deal with Nu's attacks.
I'd imagine that's also how he's able to survive Fake Hakumen's assault without using the BlazBlue. He can't win, but he can at least avoid receiving any crippling injuries, I guess.

Ragna is for bullying.

Most important thing is to manage her heat level because without them she is very weak overall.
Learn some basic combos that end with one of her D moves to increase it every time you hit somebody.
Her neutral, like most characters depends against who you are fighting, with slower characters like Hakumen or Kagura you can sometimes try Afterburner (214D) when there is a lot of space between you and them.
With most characters you will have to depend on actually hitting and because most of her moves are inferior to the likes of Jin or Ragna, you have to be more tricky about your approach. Try using 236A to cover yourself ( Just don't overuse it because it can't be punished with good jump-in) and 2B ( it is just a good move).
When you finally acquire heat levels you get quite good reward of almost any hit and quick and cancelable dash. Remember to not waste your heat level meaninglessly on some 5A confirms or doing 5D pressure with defensive opponent.
Her reversal (623B) is not particularly good so be modest with it.
If you have problems with opponents that jump out of your mixup/pressure try using 623C to catch and punish them.
Always be aware how much time you have until your heat levels expire - this is crucial and it can easily kill you.

Not alive on PC because Continuum Shift Extend is out of date and released too late. Chronophantasma Extend is releasing in January on PC, which should be about current with western consoles for a good amount of time, which might be more alive.
CSE might be worth buying if you want to get into the story though. Which you shouldn't, but I did anyway.

Here's the basic rundown, everything in bb's world is a story written in a book. And that author is Amaterasu. This is what Relius meant when he said that humanity was confined to Amaterasu's limits. Killing Takamagahara is one thing, that's just the computer that rewinds time and let's Amaterasu rewrite her story until she can get the ending she wants. But what happens if you kill the author of the world you're living in? Well according to Izanami everything will die and be reduced to nothing, Terumi wants to show the world the truth of despair or whatever the fuck, and Relius wanted to pick up the book and somehow use it to allow mankind to exceed all limitations because why the fuck not. Now as far as the heroes go I can't say what they gain by protecting or destroying Amaterasu. Rachel and Kokonoe both state on different occasions that despite how terrible a place it is they still overall like the world they live in. And according to Rachel even if Hades successfully destroys their world as long as Amaterasu lives the data can be saved and their world rebuilt.

Relius made Hazama as a body for Terumi to inherit later. But because of some spell cast on Terumi in his previous body, he can't fuse minds with Hazama. So Hazama has his own personality. Normally they switch out just by giving each other turns with the body, it looks like. After Trinity fucked with him, he got two bodies. Somehow. Materialization rod of hers probably involved. But they were linked in some way and that's what got him 'killed' by the end of CP via Platinum's stabbing Hazama.
As for how he's alive no clue. Probably something something Azure, time fuckery, Nine's a bitch, in that order.

Terumi is currently a ghost/spirit, he once inhabited the Susano'o Unit, is the creator of the Azure Grimoire, worked with Relius pre-Dark War to attempt to create the first Kusanagi, and creator of both S7 and the NOL.
He has to possess bodies (Relius makes them) in order to exist in the world, otherwise his existence is unstable. That's why in CT he yells at Noel to look at him, her Observing Hazama as Yuuki Terumi allowed him to more properly fuse with his vessel.

Hazama owns the body, so he's basically in charge most of the time, it's like in YGO with Yugi and Atem. Hazama is the "front" and Terumi is the "back". If Terumi wants to do something they just switch out.

To add to this, the reason he can't fuse minds properly anymore is because of the effects of Mind Eater. When Nine put the geas on him, she only specified that it would be applied to Terumi. Because of that, Terumi can't properly fuse minds with his vessel anymore.

Is Ragna a component for the Black Beast? I mean technically, but then we get into paradoxes. You need an Azure Grimoire mini-cauldron and a Murakumo unit to form a Black Beast. Terumi and Relius build the Murakumo, and Ragna has his Azure Grimoire which is a previous version of himself who became a Black Beast. If we imagine that it were somehow possible to have a Ragna without an Azure Grimoire, then Ragna would not have anything to do with the Black Beast.
Also that mini-cauldron thing hurts my brain.
