Giving your characters big breast isn't the problem, giving them small breast is. Seeing as Nintendo censored Lin's outfits because of her underage body, they anticipated we would just put these outfits on a loli based custom character instead so they opted to remove the bust slider to prevent us from doing so.
However it appears they fucked up by not only allowing every other character to resume using the original outfits, but the custom character by default has fairly big breasts now. SJWs and Feminists are going to use this against them because in their eyes, Nintendo is saying that it's not okay for women to have neither big nor small breasts.
Combine all this with the fact that they blatantly lied about not removing content and they're probably going to lose a lot of sales as a result, Nintendo is only screwing themselves over.
