I can understand WoD threads on /tg/ since there is so much ground to cover, but VtMB threads are the purest form of hugbox autism. There is no point to them, there is not much content, everything has been done to death.

>link deb of the night radio comfyness page

etc etc you just reshuffle posts in each thread.

I guess you're right, especially since there's bound to be announcement of VtMB 2 or something similar soon, perhaps even with Obsidian (ugh) helming it. But still, these are the most same-y threads on /v/. Kappa vampires.

I can agree on that, but they're still generally high quality. They're much better when there's a lot of lore discussion, the kind you won't get in /tg/ since most of them like nWoD more

I got to thinking: which is more moral? Letting Heather be with you only to die later? Or protecting her by telling her off?

It depends on how strong her connection to you is. I'm not sure what the lore says on this, but she might not have much of a future if she stays hyper obsessed.

There is nothing we know for sure. Paradox bought White Wolf and everything from CCP because they want to make game, Obsidian interested too and they worked with Paradox for a long time already. That's all.

I think they can, but they have to throw it back up later.

Nah, Pillars were announced at september 2012 and released only at march 2015.
I doubt Paradox would rush Obsidian too hard with such promising product. It would be a real shame in such case.

If we want something that isn't an isometric game who else would you want to do it? CDPR is the only other dev I can think of and I don't want them to do it. Plus they're already working on Cyberpunk.
>>
>>315719906
Will see. Pillars were boring for me, but I like NWN2. They can do good characters. Hard to say how they are at telling stories. And bugs of course, there will be tons of bugs, just like in VTMB. It's very promising, anon.
>>
>>315720236
>who else

There is no one in the west. I'd give it to Ice Pick Lodge.

>>315720265
No, Avellone could do good characters. VtmB was all Troika. If Paradox gave Vampire to Obsidian you'd have Josh Sawyer overseeing the plot. Rather have Metzen at that point.
>>
>>315719792

>>
>>315720589
>Ice Pick Lodge
They cannot into games. Their "Art" is either boring or unplayable.
>>
>>315720589
>Ice Pick Lodge
I guess that might work. I've only played a little bit of Pathologic but it seems somewhat similar. I don't remember if Pathologic has stats though. That probably wouldn't be too much of an issue to implement. I still think Obsidian would be better though, even if a little bit since they have connections to the original game to some extent. Having a dev not related might do wonders though. Anyone else besides them?
>>
>>315721240
Not really even though Age of Decadence guy put even more branching paths than you find in VtmB. I doubt SWERY or Suda 51 would be interested and it would be too moeshit with them.
>>
>>315720614
Obviously not, because I had to come into this thread to post her.
>>
>>315721501
Then you posted wrong girl, anon.
>>
>>315721403
Well I specified not isometric because while AoD has tons of RPG content I'm not sure how well they'd be able to develop a game like Bloodlines. It could work though I guess.

Have SWERY or Suda 51 ever made an RPG? I don't want a new WoD game to be some cuhrazy hack and slash shit.

I wouldn't be against an isometric game though, but I want a new Bloodlines-ish game first.
>>
>>315710764

>>315712358
She also spent like 3 Vitae or so, I really doubt Janos sisters are in ~7 humanity zone.
But most Bloodlines fans don't know shit about WoD
>>
>>315721742
>Have SWERY or Suda 51 ever made an RPG? I don't want a new WoD game to be some cuhrazy hack and slash shit.

SWERY or Suda 51 both suck at gameplay but SWERY is a good writer (with dead career) and Suda is a visionary compared to most western devs. I don't care much about RPG aspects of the franchise, I just want variety of approach.
>>
>>315717994
people jizz over VtM and Bloodlines, but what about PnP? CCP fucked Onyx Path when they denied reissue of revised edition the corebook with God Machine update and now everyone who wants to play GMC has to have from 3 to 5 books on their hands.
>>
>>315722229
>I don't care much about RPG aspects of the franchise
Well I'm not sure how serious I can take your opinions about who should make a new game if you don't care if it's an RPG or not. Still, Icepick is a good choice now that I think about it but I still want to see what Obsidian does.
>>
>>315722430
It should have some RPG elements, sure but honestly I'd prefer a walking simulator with strong puzzles and branching paths. Really don't care whether I put a point in guns or two in melee.
>>
>>315722675
Personally, the game I'd like the most is an original XCOM clone with squad based demon hunting in WoD universe. With characters that are not nameless grunts.
>>
>>315722801
meant for

>>315722387
>>
>>315722675
>>315722801
I mean there's plenty of non-RPG games that could be made but first and foremost I want a game similar to Bloodlines and hopefully good. I think it's a waste basing something off a pnp RPG series if you're just going to throw all but the setting away.
>>
>>315722801
>>315723162
I want a Vigil game. I really like VIgil and XCOM styled game would work.
Get grunts who got a glimpse of WoD and now scared shitless and want to do something, level them up, buy a safehouse in your City, update it with traps, caches and hidden facilities, defend it from "monsters", patrol the streets, start your own\join covenant or try and work towards bigger conspiracy. Throw in some "day life" elements like some Hunters jobs and family or bribing cops, getting connections for extra flavor.
>>
>>315723457
But VtMB is barely an RPG due to its piss poor gameplay. Only thing that works is seduction/intimidation/persuasion which can be reworked with 'branching paths' I mentioned.

>>315723567
Yeah, couldn't remember the name, Hunter the Vigil... with carefully designed setpieces, nothing random, a strict campaign... so I guess not exactly what you'd prefer. I wouldn't give the player an ounce of freedom other than when fates of characters are involved (throw in a bit of Fire Emblem-ish sacrifice).
>>
>>315723736
I just want to run over Werewolves in my car and set Vampires on fire while my 4 friends are pocking it with long sticks or breaking ghoul arms with my eldritch art of (cold)metal baseball bat to the hand, also works for breaking jaws
There is also a possibility for investigative missions, Hunters need to stalk their pray before killing it.

both approaches would work, IMO sandbox with scripted events would work better, persistent party with permadeath is n option. IMO linear story with no variation would limit this game potential.
>>
>>315724375
I think sandbox always limits the gameplay death and the narrative strength as evidenced with the demise of lore driven MGS series.
>>
>>315724669
>depth
>>
>>315724669
MGS had a ton of problems with story, being sandbox wasn't one of them.
Game narrative also can and should be emergent, not only scripted. But Squad based TBS games worked narrative into their games with elements of sandbox. Think of it as a bunch of sidequests.

Also MGS sandbox and XCOM sandbox look and play differently.
>>
>>315721216
>>315721240
>>315720589
>Ice Pick Lodge
Just throw Promethean at them. Or Changeling.
>>
>>315724998
sandbox simplified the setpieces making them non existent in fact and ruined the careful level design as well.

Bitch is a wild dog that needs to be put down. Just because she isn't kill crazy all the time, doesn't mean I'm okay with her. And despite what she says, there's no way she can keep that up that level of murdering without harming the masquarade.
>>
>>315725731
Can't they consume dead flesh ?

She should hook up with Vandal.
>>
>>315726152

no. she's a Nagaraja. She must eat alive prey.
This makes her really bad for Masquerade.
>>
>>315726583

>>
>>315726678
Isn't Detroit a Sabbath territory? I don't remember shit about about VtM.
>>
>>315725731
>that level of murdering
Cammy, please. She need only one body per 10 days. She can kill group of homeless people (and no one would ever care about them), freeze the bodies and will have food for a whole month. Your average vamp has more risk to being noticed when feeding.
>>
>>315727157
She can't freeze them as in put them in ice, she must use rituals to preserve bodies.
Kindred can drink blood without the victim noticing, blood back are an option too.
And I really doubt someone would become a blood doll for her.

Can other clans learn disciplines they don't start with in the pnp game? If so is there a limit like they can only be leveled up a certain amount?

I really wish I could find someone to play the pnp game with irl.

And hopefully a new game would have more stuff from the pnp game than Bloodlines, though Bloodlines wasn't bad at it, but a bit simplified from what I've read.
>>
>>315734669
Yeah. They'd have to find someone willing to teach it to them, generally speaking different clans will be more or less willing to teach. Like it could be easy getting potence as a gangrel, but good luck getting thaumaturgy
>>
>>315734669
You'd ask about tabletob in /tg/, but whatever.
In old wod (vtm) you limited to your clan disciplines, but there also was caitiffs aka clanless who can learn any disciples but for higher cost.
In new (vtr) you start with any two clan disciplines (or a single one at 2nd level) and 3rd one can be any other. There are bunch of common disciplines available for everybody and some restricted to specific covenants or clans.
>>
>>315735519
>limited to clan disciplines
not really, you can learn others. I think it takes a lot longer to learn those though
>>
playing bloodlines for the first time and just entered some mansion thing

I did it today and it only took like 20 minutes I think. But this is my second time through the game so it'll probably be longer for you.

Some very small "jump scares" in one of the places you go where some items in the building gets thrown at you but nothing loud/screaming shit to worry about. It's more surprising than jump scares.

I hate jump scares shit and I had no problems with this game. The game does have some genuinely scary areas though but that it just due to how creepy it is.

Why do you think vampires get into their politics in the first place? Because you have an eternity ahead of you and you need to keep yourself busy somehow. There ARE vampires who "dig a well" aka find a steady source of blood somewhere and do fuck all between torpor, but that's essentially the equivalent of becoming a vampire NEET.

>not enough porn of the girls
WHY?
Why is this game so unknown?
>>
>>315754554
You do understand the porn is made by commissioning it? If the community doesn't pay, the porn doesn't get produced. It's that simple.
>>
>>315752594
Yes, but the game only handles the Path of Humanity because most neonates follow this path in the getgo before finding out what they actually want to do with their unlife.

Afterwards, you can change your path to whatever. But for the sake of simplicity most players (that I know of) still use the term "Humanity" to determine your rating into the path you've chosen.

Because for ALL paths, 0 rating means turning into a constantly frenzied killing machine and 10 rating means absolute control of yourself and conviction in your own ideals, thus rating 10 feels inherently like a "human" perfection (think Buddhism's enlightment).
>>
>>315754814
Being an artist myself, I wouldn't be against doing fan art for the sake of fan art.

The problem with porn is that it can be troublesome if it gets associated with you somehow, depending on the kind of crowd you draw.

Considering I've been commissioned by furries for unspeakable things, I think it's more that I'm just lazy than anything. However, that could explain the lack of general fan art. You could try asking in a drawthread here but I have absolutely no idea what kinda quality they produce since I never frequent them.

Obsidian are good at making good sequels.

KotOR was arguably good, KotORII was a masterpiece.
Fallout 3 was shit. New Vegas was a solid ARPG with very well developped RPG elements.
Neverwinter Nights 1 was shit. NWN2 MotB was a masterpiece that is only second to PS:T when it comes to writing quality.

If anyone can pull it off, it's Obsidian.

Can be anyone else, but it's hard to break the blood bond between Ghoul and master.

I'm not sure if being Embraced nullifies the Blood Bond, I can't remember. Probably does.

>>315768594

If you're familiar with Bloodlines go with Vampire 20th Anniversary, it'll be the easiest to get into. You'll probably end up doing a Masquerade wanna-be instead of fulling embracing what the setting has to offer (Jyhad, Gehenna, etc), but it's a start.

Werewolf is pretty cool, a lot less limiting thanks to the fact that mortals will always disbelieve what a werewolf does. I forget what it's called -- I wanna say the Shroud but I don't think that's right. It's been a while.

Mage is fun and great for rewarding creative problem solving.

Changeling I dunno, never played either iteration. Same with Promethean.

oWoD Hunter (The Reckoning) is awful, avoid at all costs unless you wanna play as the Priest guys from Bloodlines. nWoD Hunter (The Vigil) is great if you have a good storyteller; monster hunting as a normal dude is pretty based.

>Obsidian are good at making good sequels.

They're good at making expansion packs with great stories. I'll give you that. But building games from the ground up? Fuck... no. Alpha Protocol is hilariously bad gameplay wise and Neverwinter Nights 2 is one of the worst cRPGs ever made in terms of gameplay.

Also, for the record, I found KOTOR2 to be a pretentious piece of drivel shoehorned into what could easily be considered an expansion pack.

I liked NV but, again, expansion pack.

MOTB I need to check out again... when it was released my computer was a toaster but I really disliked all of the special snowflake NPCs that tagged along with you.

Either way, I wouldn't want Obsidian to touch VTMB. They'd fuck up the gameplay majorly. Now, if they could release a direct sequel aka expansion pack like all of their half decent games, I'd be okay with it, but by this time VTMB is so old it would be impossible.

Basic is just all bugs fixed for the original game (well most at least) while additional adds some new animations, sound effects/voice acting (bad) and changes some locations of the items and stuff like that.. as well as a fan-made restored quest location that didn't make it into the original game and some new quests.

Probably more but that is what I know incase you don't find more info about it.

The Witcher games are getting better in my opinion but okay. If Cyberpunk is good then I wouldn't mind a Vampire game from them.
>>
>>315772887
Except they don't. I've made a lengthy post why Witcher games are shit RPGs in some of the previous Witcher threads, perhaps you've read them. All I'm going to say now is that Witcher games have:

>shit character generation (can't pick initial class, advantages/disadvantages/skills anything that makes your character unique)
>shit character advancement
>shit character customization - you are dead set in a certain character archetype, you cannot focus on other 3 "S" (Speak, Sneak, Slay) archetypes apart from "Slay"
>shit (literally none) C&C outside of dialogue choices

The only time when your character build matters in Witcher games is during combat. That's not how a good RPG is designed.

A good RPG allows you to complete and fail quests in different ways based on the different skills of your character as well as your dialogue choices while in Witcher games your build is literally irrelevant when determining possible quest solutions, only your dialogue choices matter.

Witcher games are poor RPGs and are literally VNs with a real time combat system.

WAT IF THEY ARE THE SAME GENERATOT BUT DIFFERENT SPECIES OF BAMPIRE

>>
Also, another thing to consider for all of those, who claim that CDPR would be able to make a good sequel to Bloodlines.

Remember all those times when you failed a stat/skill check in Witcher games? Remember when you could/couldn't complete a quest in a certain way because your character was/wasn't built to fit the appropriate archetype?

Yeah, me neither, because Witcher games have none of that, which is exactly what made Bloodlines a good RPG, since you could (or couldn't) complete quests in different ways based on your social (Intimidation, Seduction, Persuasion) and other skills.

>>315774193
>Shadowrun guys may actually do a great job.

>vtmb's shit combat makes it ideal for cdpr
Because Witcher games are known for their good combat? Kek.

Combat is the last thing that made Bloodlines good. I don't want a shit RPG with good combat, I want a good RPG with whatever combat that is no worse than that of the original.
>>
>>315775347
I want a properly fleshed out CRPG with a huge amount of player choice I don't care if it's isometric or action-based. CDPR only "excels" in pretty graphics, the amount of player choice in their games is sorely lacking.

I like nWoD more, but I'm a weird one in WoD community.
nWoD and oWoD have different themes. There is a Resident Evil-Silent Hill comparison somewhere.
If you want to get into oWoD, i.e. VtM, get 20th anniversary edition. oWoD mainlines are strong, but 1 off lines are kinda bad, even ones I like, Daemons and Wraith are somewhat clunky, with The Fallen I just recommend reading the corebook and never looking at it again.
nWoD is a bit different, arguably one off lines are the meat here, Hunter is great, Changeling is widely praised, many people like Promethean, but almost no one plays it. Main lines are also good, but compared to oWoD they have completely different feel.
There is also God Machine Chronicle update for nWoD.

As for where to start, start with your local gamestore\anticafe, see what they have t offer. If you want to assemble a party yourself, just read quick summary on lines you're interested in and work from there.

Shit. CD Projekt did a grand job of capturing the Witcher universe.

You can tell they really researched and put a great deal of effort and passion into it.

Too bad they're doing Cyberpunk and that will probably take another 4 years to finish.

That'd be great if they could get their hands on a World of Darkness game.
>>
>>315776483
Pretty damn different in some areas, not so much in others. It removed a lot of the backstory and lore, in favor of a "vampires exist now, but they're not sure where they come from", cut the number of clans to 5(sort of), and overall has a bit of a different tone in regards to what it means to be a vampire.

It also did away with the sects, instead introducing a number of factions that co-exist. So instead of Camarilla only cities, Sabbat only territory, etc., and them always being at war, you have a handful of factions(political and spiritual), and they can all have presence in a city where they play politics, instead of bitterly destroying eachother. This part is pretty cool, in my opinion, and makes for some more interesting stories.
>>
>>315776742

Pretty much the only ones to potentially capture the Bloodlines feel too.

Obsidian would turn it into Pillars of Vampire:Balanced Edition with as much pretentious writing they could cram into it.
>>
>>315776483
main difference is scale and theme.
It's in the book itself.
VtM is bigger in scale and main theme is Gothic Punk, VtR is smaller in scale and main theme is Personal Horror.
In VtM there are conspiracies spanning continents, in VtR most cities up to DM are separated from each other and Vampires traveling from one city to another are uncommon.

VtM also uses hard meta, with lore set in books, VtR, just like all nWoD, more focuses on pick and chose style with "rumors".

Old rules are clunky as hell, VtR is more streamlined but there is some wacky stuff, Blood and Smoke fixed some of it, but introduced new problems.
I like B&S or VtR system more, even if it's not realistic it keeps the game going, combat is not the main aspect of these systems.

>That's because there's a predefined character.
That's not why the character generation is shit, it's shit because the game is a shit RPG. Torment had a pre-defined character, yet the stat distribution decisions you made in the first minutes of the game had a profound impact on the gameplay and possible quest solutions.

>The advancement is just fine.
No, it's not. Witcher RPG system is nowhere near that of any actually good RPGs. None of the perks you pick have any impact on possible quest solutions whatsoever and all of them are related only to the "Slay" archetype - the archetype of a character who solves problems via combat.

Meanwhile, in actually good RPGs, you have entire branches of skills and perks that deal not only with combat efficiency of your character, but also with his ability to solve problems in a diplomatic and sneaky manners.

A good character development system is a system that allows you to branch into any of the 3 archetypes and combine them in any way you wish, it does not set you on a predefined path and keep you there like that of the Witcher games.

>These sound like arbitrary requirements you pulled out of your ass.
So, you've never played Bloodlines then? Bloodlines was a good RPG because you could advance your character in the direction of any archetype out of those three. Stealth? Combat? Diplomacy? All check. You could mix and match skills, stats and disciplines as well and all of them influenced your ability possible quest solutions.

>Variance in combat
Irrelevant. It makes for good encounter design, which is not a RPG element.

>good atmosphere
Irrelevant, because it's subjective and not a RPG element.

>quality of writing and dialogue
Irrelevant, because it's subjective and is not a RPG elemnt. You can have plain text descriptions of events and characters and easily make an amazing RPG. Just look at Age Of Decadence.
>>
>>315776057

>It sounds like you're trying to force table-top rules
No, I'm telling what made Bloodlines actually good, what made it a cult classic, which are exactly the things I've described now.
>>
>>315777376
If you're new, and going in blind, VtR might be easier since you don't have to pay so much attention to the backstory. Then again, it's your game man, you can do whatever. I'd figure out what kind of characters you think sound cool, and chose a system based on that. If you want to play stuff from Bloodlines, pick up VtM 20th Anniversary. If you just want to get into pnp in general, and don't care where you start, I'd recommend Hunter: The Vigil instead.

>That's not why the character generation is shit, it's shit because the game is a shit RPG.
Except that's wrong. The stat distribution has a profound effect on the combat which is an important part of the gameplay.

>the archetype of a character who solves problems via combat.
Right, because that's what the character is about. And your stat distribution has different effects on how that archetype plays out giving you variance to the gameplay.

>you've never played Bloodlines then?
I've played and beaten bloodlines several times. What I'm saying is your arbitrary requirements for an RPG aren't required to make a good RPG. Having variance in one focused aspect can also make a good RPG.

>good encounter design
>not an RPG element

>good atmosphere
>not important for an RPG or any other dialogue or story based genre of video game

You keep throwing around the word subjective, too, as if all of this isn't inherently subjective.

> I'm telling what made Bloodlines actually good
Which is the great writing and atmosphere followed by multiple choices for progression. The Witcher also has this even if they're focused on combat.

I deleted my original post because we fundamentally disagree on not only what defines an RPG, but what defines a good one, and realistically, there's not much more of a conclusion we're going to get from this other than "I don't agree".

I agree, VtR offers a lot more freedom, and some of the way it presents vampire society makes much more sense in the modern age.

That said, I'm a sucker for the lore in VtM, and it's what I was exposed to first.

Look, I'm not going to argue with you further because you obviously have no clue what a RPG is and are either arguing for argument's sake, are a genuine retard, or a Witcherdrone with a chip on your shoulder. I don't really care which "archetype" fits your case.

If you want to prove that CDPR can make a good sequel to Bloodlines, then show me that Witcher games have a character advancement system, in which the various skills and perks you pick influence not only the combat efficiency of your character, but also open and/or close possible quests and their solutions.

This is important, because it was at the core of VtM:B gameplay, where having a high enough skill like lockpicking, computers or any of the social skills (intimidation, persuasion, seduction) governed the ways in which you could solve many of the quests.

Oh, wait, you can't do that, because Witcher games have nothing of the sort. So, yeah, you have no clue what you're talking about and I'm better off not wasting my brain cells on useless attempts at educating your ass.

I already did. The core of the RPG gameplay is in the combat, and the various ways you can proceed with it. If you can only see that as "one solution", then you've already missed my point.

But, yeah, better insult me and be an asshole. That will prove your argument correct. Never mind that I tried to stop the argument before it proceeded or that I outright said we fundamentally disagree on what makes an RPG. Nope, gotta' be arguing just to argue at this point.

ITT: people who don't understand that letting Heather die was the most natural AND merciful thing to do.

Once a human or any other vampire, for that matter, drinks a vampire's blood, his perception of the "donor" is going to be altered significantly. They feel a compulsion to follow your orders and submit to your will, which is literally brainwashing.

After drinking the blood of his master thrice, a ghoul becomes blood bound and is literally a slave of his sire and cannot disobey him no matter he is ordered to do and no matter how painful/uncomfortable it is.

So, if you gave Heather your blood, you literally mind raped here there and then. Hope you're into that kind of stuff.

The combat is meh, the city looks pretty small and too many prostitutes walking around which ruins immersion.

The next game desperately needs to feature representatives of the other Brujah factions, namely Idealists and Individualists.

Since many Bloodlines players had no understanding of the lore before playing the game, it has created a wide-spread misconception that all Brujah are these shitty Anarch punks, which is not even remotely true.

I want to play a combat oriented, Idealist ex-Soviet Brujah vampire-soldier, dammit. AK totting and chopping off heads with a special forces shovel while fighting to bring upon an age of peace and understanding between humans and Kindred never gets old.

The view on the cargo ship, of a sunrise coming is very touching.

Also, the game is somewhat rushed. You character is turned into a vampire and within mere days or hours, since the game doesn't give any clear idea of the passing of the time, is talking about clans, kine and kindred like he was a vampire for days.
And how letting Samantha call your friends/family is a masquerade breach? For they know you simply disappeared. Finding you won't make them automaticaly concludes that you became a vampire.

Gonna go soon, I'll just finish off with a few bloodlines. Bloodlines are offshoots of clans, a concept that technically exists in VtM too, but there are many more in VtR, and some cover the "old" clans.

I remember when I was trying to get into WH fantasy and I went to a gaming club to play with a friend.

There were some guys playing this tabletop game and there was one gangrel player that was able to kill everything because he was doing some kind of special damage that prevented them from healing or something.

I was interested in the game because I played Bloodlines before that but I only played Ventrue and Tremere characters. Can any of those two clans do that special damage? What's the name of that ability?

>What's the name of that ability?

Deal aggravated damage.

In the tabletop, there are 3 kinds of damage: bashing, lethal, and aggravated. Bashing is generally blunt weaponry, punching, etc. If a mortal fills their health track (the health bar, basically) with bashing damage they're unconscious, and any further bashing is upgraded to lethal. Vamps stay awake with a bar full of bashing, and can heal 2 points of bashing damage per blood point
Lethal damage is stabbing, gunshots (unless you're a vampire, in which case guns deal bashing damage). Lethal kills mortals when their tracks are filled, and knocks vamps into torpor. Vamps can heal 1 point of this per blood point spent.
Aggravated damage is stuff that's really hard to heal - burns, supernatural claws (like Gangrel can grow with the Protean discipline, which is what you saw that one player using), silver for werewolves, etc. Aggravated kills a human with a full track, and will give a vamp the ol' Final Death. Vamps can only heal 1 point of this per 2 blood points spent IIRC, and since most vamps can only spend 1 blood point a round, it really fucks them over. Tremere can deal aggravated if they learn the path of flames and shoot fire everywhere (although they'll probably make themselves frenzy in the process), but other than that no other clan gets a built-in aggravated damage ability that I can remember, barring the few other clans that can learn blood magic like the Assamites and Tzimisce. Oh, I think the Tzimisce can also do it with Vicissitude, I'm not sure.
>>
Whoops, that was the last one. Take care space cowboys.

I agree with the other guy above that I don't want CDPR making a new WoD game. Even if people enjoy their games I don't think they would be able to make a similar game. I don't have any good expectations for Cyberpunk either but hey, maybe they'll surprise me.

Obsidian's really the only one I can think of that at least has a chance to make a good game with the license, and maybe Ice Pick Lodge as someone was talking about above. Maybe some isometric RPG devs too but I don't want an isometric RPG as the first game to come out.

We don't know. Bloodlines was made before nWoD so it fit into the timeline with that. There's really no reason they'd have to go with nWoD even though the world ended in that, they could just have a new story set before the world ended. And if they want to make a similar game to Bloodlines I think it would be better to go with oWoD.

Whats the difference between the true patch and the Plus Patch?
>>
>>315792590
True Patch fixes bugs and that's it, doesn't mess with content otherwise.

The Unnoficial Patch (Plus Patch as you say) doesn't just fix bugs but also modifies content, adds supposedly deleted dialog and other things. It seems to have a basic option that deals with bugs only but I can't confirm that.
>>
So lets say I'm a Tzimisce can I use my Vicissitude to hold my two handfuls of dirt inside my body? I mean I could use bonecrafting or fleshcrafting to make two containers that could hold the soil in my gut or something.

Would that satisfy my native soil requirement?
>>
>>315793031
Can I substitute the True patch for the Plus patch?
>>
>>315791142
0.
oWoD has a legendary status, among players that don't play WoD, and most people don't care about WoD in general, they want Bloodlines 2.
>>
>>315793161
Each has to be installed separately. You can't mix or install on top. It's not really important which one to install, unless you're a purist.
>>
>>315793039

Probably, but as an ST I wouldn't allow it for reducing the clan's already weak drawback.

Vampires in WoD can circulate their blood and perform any of the normal human bodily functions. Ah, so generally WoD is more about the social aspect of whatever's going on. Okay, that gives me a better idea of what to expect. Thanks.

I have asked actually. Problem is none of us have the time and while all of us are interested in doing tabletop stuff, only half of us want to do anything other than pathfinder. We're all pretty new too. I dunno, maybe someday

Strange how it's ticked on by default when there's no reason to even have it in the game

If you keep saying that, it'll be no day. You all have the time, if you really want it. You don't have to play every week, just fit it in and make it an event. My group has people living in opposite ends of the country, so we play at the most once a month - but we put aside an entire weekend for it, and make it a whole thing. PnP, playing fighting games, watching movies, etc. 8 hours of pnp, 8 hours of other stuff, 8 hours sleep, for 2,5 day. It's a blast.

The only problem you'll have is deciding who will GM, especially since there'll be a lot of responsibility (and work) resting on him, but there's premade adventures out there you could start out with.

Blood Strike lets you send a bit of your own blood to attack a target, and if you don't spam it you get it back if they're alive.

I mean, it's me and 3 others. So it'd be a two man game
