You know, with Mega Man in Smash Bros. and all, I've been thinking about how fun it would be if there was a Capcom versus game with the other half of the roster being Nintendo. Smash is fun and all, but I hunger for a more traditional fighting game featuring the Nintendo cast.

I don't play it for the combat anymore. I just boot up sandbox, change it up so I can built my wicked space-station however I want it and just watch all dudes run along and do their jobs.

Yeah I mostly played in sandbox. The point at which I quit the campaign was a particular mission that was focused on combat and I didn't feel like dealing with it. I'm particularly impressed with how much care they put into making landscaping the biosphere floor fun.

I used to enjoy doing things like that, but nowadays I'm too much of a cynical dick to even bother talking to people in MMOs.

I nearly always enjoy helping newbies starting out in games.

The issue is that they put you in a serious compromise after you graduate; you have to get a job in the industry, because nobody else will respect you, no matter how hard you studied or how much you learned.
And, it can be a pretty shit industry. Just look at contemporary games.
If you can sell yourself–if you can discuss what you've learned in detail, I suppose you can get a job outside of vidya with a vidya degree, but at that point you should've been getting a CS degree instead.
