Heres a realistic question for all you consumers.
From what I understand Americans after they pay their rent and everything are left with quite a lot of money.
This is disposable income after tax per country.

But let's specifically talk about the US. Since theres tons of data.
I'm from a shity country.
I earn 578$ after paying rent and all I'm left with about 100~300$ depending on season (winter heating costs a lot)
So for my income, I can then buy say 2~5 games a month. I don't but thats about my limit.

Now in the US, you seem to be let with a good 1000~1500$ dollars on average as a 27 year old single living in a flat.
So literally you can buy 10 games at 60$ full price each month and not give a fuck.
My question is basically. Why the fuck is /v/ so faggy about buying games and preorders. Who cares it's 60 out of 1000...
I have to care because it's 60 out of 100 or 200.
But out of a fucking 1000. I'd buy like every single new game I wanted without a secound thouhg.

First, take this mindset of "I have to buy things" out of the fucking window.
This step will take you a lot of time, possibly years. Your brain has to mature into an understanding that "I don't actually have to spend money on things" is a reality.
Step 2, once you have matured enough to realize you don't have to spend money, check your hobby, in our case is vidya, which of these following games should I spend money with? Bear in mind, you have learned to NOT spend money on things just because, but instead you are looking for a REASON to spend that money on a videogame.
After a lot of research and constant weeks of shitposting on /v/ you will come to realize you want a game. You have of course, pirate it before hand because you are not paying for anything more than necessary. So now you need to transform all the fun that game gave you into a monetary value.
In my case, I mostly try to pay full price if I liked the game a lot, and only on sale for mediocre games. Then you never touch the game again, you already played it to death when you pirated it, no need to play it.
Pre order? Are you fucking retarded? If the game isn't out there is no game, if there is no game there is no money. Simple as that.
And even after a game exists, there is no money if there is no fun, so piracy is essential. Luckily now us pirates have it even easier now with the refund system, we can now also "pirate" multiplayer games and check them out, if you don't like them just refund them.
Thus, you have a lot of money for you, a lot of games for you, a lot of pirated games for you, and an industry supported only by what deserves to be supported according to your fun.
Also, there is no such thing as brand loyalty or studio loyalty. Only interest, if a studio I like makes a new game, I will pirate it as soon as possible, otherwise I wait for /v/ to mention it.

After putting around 70 hours into BB, I started playing DaS again. I honestly can't tell you what the better game is. BB has great combat and overall feel. DaS has great secrets and cool movesets.
I think LP'ers like PewDiePie started the 'million death' memes, and the company just accepted it and build DaS2 around it.
Thoughts on this?

I bought this the other day since it's supposed to be one of the best games of the year, and I'm really, really struggling to see why people think so.
I'm about six hours in, looking for Ciri in Velen; I've done a couple side quests in an attempt to level up and get health items. But aside from the amazing graphics (pic related, i saw her bare assed, not sure why shes got pantsu here) and the deep narrative, I just don't see whats at all great about this game. I've been TRYING to have fun, but thats already a problem: it should be immediate, i shouldn't have to search for entertainment in a GOTY contender.
Does it pick up or should i just give this shit back tomorrow? What exactly has so many people so impressed with what I feel is a generic mash up of just about every western RPG I've played? Help me enjoy this game, I want to like something about it other then Yen's donk.

I did, got it for 35 bucks. Been a long time since I've played a cod game and enjoyed them when they were still novel. Crossing my fingers it's not absolute ass and that Frankenguns is fun.
Because I don't need to when I know my local game store has a thousand copies of it. It's not some niche japanese game you might not even get if you preordered it. It's fucking Call of Duty
