What alternate costumes do you use, /v/?
Pic related, golden Roy has been my shit since Melee. He's never been my main, but golden Roy is definitely my favorite alt.
I also use purple Roy and Orange/Blue stripe Lucas.

I just found out about this game today from a friend. Looks pretty tight to me, what does /v/ think of this?
It will be shallow, and depending on how long the procedural generation will entertain you, you'll get bored of it quickly or slowly. Might be the type of game you fire up once in a while for a bit

This one fixes almost every single flaw
New features
All 720 Pokémon that were officially revealed at the time are present in the game.
Accessories are now visible on both the player and partner in the overworld and in dungeons.
As the first entry in the series released during Generation VI, it introduces Mega Evolution and the Fairy type to the series.
Mega Evolution allows Pokémon to become more powerful, attack multiple enemies, and break down walls.
The Progress Device allows players to save inside of dungeons.
Wands, items that can be used multiple times, are introduced.
The Connection Orb replaces the bulletin boards as the interface for taking jobs. By completing jobs, clients become friends and connections to more Pokémon appear.
In addition to returning stores, stores called Hawlucha's Slam School, Café Connection, Klefki's Rockin' Lock, (Japanese: ニャースシアター Meowth Theater), and (Japanese: ラプラス大陸便 Lapras Intercontinental Travel) are available.
When all team members surround an enemy Pokémon, called an Alliance, moves that would normally be not very effective ignore type matchups.
Items called looplets and emeras are introduced. By putting emeras into a held looplet, Pokémon can be powered up. Any emera obtained in a dungeon disappear when leaving it.
A (Japanese: ジュークボックス jukebox) feature allows players to listen to music from the games and even previous titles in the series.
Returning features
The Deposit Box once again replaces Kangaskhan Storage.
The Belly mechanic makes a return.
The personality test that featured in the first two installments returns; however, it is optional.

Is this game actually worth playing? Most of the reviews I see aren't all that positive, especially from long time Tales fans, who often say its one of the worst in the series.
A lot of the criticisms I see are things like blandness, it feels too much like a diet Tales game, you can't enter any buildings in towns besides the inn, bad characters, too much backtracking. It just seems like too many deal breakers for me to warrant spending 50$ on it.
Tales fans will say any game that isn't their favorite is the worst in the series.
In a nutshell it's an ok game, not great but not bad. It has a great idea for a story, wonderful characters, and god tier music but falls short in terms of content and execution. Dungeons aren't very inspired and there isn't all that much to do along the journey. It's as if they put in the main elements and story points but didn't go back through to flesh out the inbetween. I'd rate it a 68/100 with 50 being average. Worth playing if you enjoy JRPGs, potentially a stepping stone into the franchise if you want to start with something simpler, but probably worth more around $30-35.
It may not be an ultra top tier JRPG but it does hit your emotions pretty hard when it wants to.
There are no great tales games. It's always been an also ran. Always lacking in production values compared to it's peers at the time.
It is what it is. I'd like Tales a lot more if the temporal/monetary budget was spread more evenly in game, they tend to peak and valley super fucking hard.
It is in no way the "worst of the series" but it isn't great either.
Combat is decent, but not as good as Graces or Xillia. Story is down right dumb.

It also tries to hype up a choice and consequence plot that often doesn't even give you a choice and effects nothing when it does. Except if maybe you get a hat or not.

Map Testing
>In this phase of the development, the major work being done is the map testing. Map testing will define the different areas to make sure they are neither too big, nor too small to get to that Goldilocks zone. This consists of looking at the layout of a certain space, and experimenting to make necessary alterations. For example, an outside area may feel too open. That space may be reduced by 20%, and the number of people there increased from 10 to 16, to affect the proper consistency and density of the area.
