So I installed Mount & Blade, Warband and F&S last night. I was wondering if /v/ had any recommendations as to where I should start. Should I just begin with normal M&B, are there any mods I should get and so on. I've literally never touched the game before.
Start with the Warband. After a while, once you grip the basics and learn to rule, I would try it with the Floris mod.

I have a pretty good source that tells me Nintendo are going with the name 'Joule' for the NX's official name.
He said they chose it for what it 'represents'. Which I assume means that it has a lot of great power and energy (joules, learn physics you fuck), it stands out (like a jewel), looks impressive (could beat you in a duel), makes use of both handheld and console features (dual).

I don't understand the mentality of veteranfags. Why would you want an old character instead of a new one? If you want to play as Wolf, why not just play Brawl? If you want to play as Pichu, why not just play Melee? Newcomers are far more exciting because they bring new movesets with them. What exactly do veterans have besides nostalgia? Even in Japan, more people tend to prefer veterans... but why?
Because people liked to play those characters and want to play them in a new game, too?
By your reasoning, why bring back anyone at all? The original 8 should've been scrapped after 64, just fucking kick out that Mario and Kirby and replace them with someone new and exciting.

About what level should I be for this on a NG+ playthrough? I'm level 90 about to fight Vicar Amelia so I can access the DLC, but I don't want to go into it and get my ass kicked. If I should level up more, I'll just finish my NG+ run and then do the DLC or just start a new character.
Also, Bloodborne thread, I guess.

basically wiiu took over 18 months to have like ANY games. it didn't have a killer app to sell itself with besides new mario U, it had nothing. and like the wii, it didnt use its gimmicks to the logical effects (no starfox game, no metroid game, no pokemon snap game)
now this year theyre finally, FINALLY giving us the wiiu games we've wanted all along. the big names. starfox, zelda, etc. but it's just-enough-wayyy-too-late

What's the cheesiest weapon/build in Dark Souls II: SotFS?
I just picked it up and I'm having a bit of trouble with it. I'm getting my ass kicked way more than DaS or BB, and I just want to finish it so I can say I've played all of them when DaSIII comes out. Is there an equivalent of BKH or Drake Sword that I can just spam to win with?

Hexes are pretty cheap but they take a lot of investment and you probably won't fully utilize them until after the first four or five bosses. If you get lucky and get a halberd from the old knights in Heide's, they're pretty good. Otherwise, the Drangleic sword is okay. Just sword and board, and the game should be easy.
How far in are you?
I did maxed out mace strength build for the majority of the game and it's faceroll up until the last bosses.

Red Iron Twinblade. I did a str build my first playthrough and it was the first souls game I ever played so I got the shit kicked out of me for the first month or so I had it. Eventually I got to where I would win maybe 45% of the time in the arena with my Zweihander. Then I got the RIT and thought it was cool enough to try out. Literally won the first five matches I used it in without even really knowing or testing the moveset. I still pull it out whenever I see a buffed katana or hexer's hood
