This fucking game. I can't remember 4 being this trash. There's not even a sci-fi world they go to, just some backwards medieval planet. And what's up with the fucking combat? Did they even try to balance this shit? I don't know who was in charge of this turd, but I'd consider sudoku ASAP

homecoming was pretty much 'silent hill the movie the game'. the people in charge were way over their heads and had no idea what the fuck they were doing. also they were untalented, incompetent hacks.
with downpour they at least TRIED to make a decent game. it failed as a horror game as well as a silent hill game, but at least they tried. bonus points for that.
both games aren't worth playing.

Enhanced, by far.
They just removed excess amount of skills that were basically variants of existing shit and served no purpose beyond being excess for the sake of excess. Basically they got rid of all the shitty variations and instead focused on quality instead of quantity.
EE is pretty much mandatory anyway for how much it overhauls the last 1/3 of the game which was blatantly unfinished and rushed in the vanilla version.
I actually haven't played the "classic" version but having looked at the wiki, some of the skills were outrageously imbalanced and the handful of removed skills appeared useless. EE isn't perfectly balanced either but far better.
