My GPU just died and now I'm stuck gaming on pic related: GT220. What the fuck can I play now? Resolution is 5:4 @ 1280x1024 if that is going to horrendously worsen things.

Left. Ground is where the doors are. Sometimes buildings go straight from ground to 2 so as not to confuse visiting Americans.
If the building is on a hill and has exits on a floor lower than G then it will have a LG (lower ground) level. I've even seen a LLG level once.
Anyway, not vidya. Games always use the weird 1F, 2F thing.

There's nothing wrong with it.
It's to show just how much stronger your character got, and at the same time saving a cool enemy design from being wasted.
This only happens to early game bosses, which are usually rather simplistic encounters and aren't important story characters or anything.

Rather than attempting to go beyond the bounds of social norms and reaching out to fantasy, be it high fantasy or just an alternate reality, they try to create an image that is not that of a work of fiction, but a representation of what they think modern players expect to see from real life as well as their games. This is why Western women in games are slowly progressing (Read; regressing) to neon hair colors, thick makeup, and rebellious "I am always right because I'm a woman" attitudes. Instead of originality, we're forced to have the same idea in a different package every time.
Daily reminder that building your own computer is:
Stupid.

More time consuming than ordering/purchasing a pre-built computer.

It's no longer 2009. Get with the times, the free market has made prebuilts super-competitive with "HURR BULD UR OWN COMPUTA FGT GET REKT NIGGR" to the point where you'll get a MUCH better deal on a prebuilt.
