Why is it so hard to balance study time with vidya time? I'm already two years behind my peers because of vidya addiction.
Because you have no willpower, you weakling.
You're hurting yourself by excessively playing vidya and you don't have the willpower to stop that.
>>321511514
I was great at it
>>321511514
You either
A. Are a general apathetic individual to begin with and drastic change strikes you as too much of an effort to be worth while
B. Suffer from paralysis by analysis and overanalyze situations/what you need to do for school to the extent it causes you anxiety and you use vidya to destress.
C. Aren't interested enough in the subject matter you are studying/preparing for/getting a degree in, and alternatively you are interested in vidya
or
D. Lack the proper motivation/willpower and are more content with making excuses that you will study more tomorrow, or in a few hours, or this weekend instead of accomplishing your work after you drive home from lecture and then spending the rest of your free time doing what you like.
So, pick A, B, C, or D and then we can work from there on how to help you.
Also, nice blog.

About to play this for the first time, any required mods or stuff that 100% improve the game?
Kotor thread and shit.
TSLRCM

isn't this the cringey game by Bioware?
If there are any mods that remove the loading times or fix bugs, then that would be recommendable, but I don't think there are.
I would play KotoR before KotoR II tho.
Should I get this on sale just for online features?

Sure if you want to deal with nothing but hackers while also getting yourself banned because someone decided to shower money on you.
>>321511295
Surely it can't be that bad, Rockstar doesn't have an anti-cheat system?
>>321511502
Except it is and rockstar doesn't give a flying fuck about online in this game.
If you want to play gta 5 online without cheaters you better buy a ps4 or an xbone, because the 7th gen ones are also filled with cheaters.
>be yesterday before the steam fuck up
>everyone tells me to buy game above saying how good it is
>finally log onto it today

wtf

The community is desperate for players so they trick people like you into buying it. Not only that but the people who do play are all in the uk
You got cucked, the only arena shooter community that's alive is QuakeLive

the game is amazing but i dont see a constant reliable community until maybe launch

TBS/RTS covers almost all of 4X; the only exception are hybrids like total war that have turn based overworlds and real time battle maps
This map is a mess in general

Please recommend me the scariest game you've ever played, atmosphere wise, something like SH2, or Penumbra, just not jumpscare garbage. I don't mind them though.
I've pretty much played every horror game on steam which is worth a playtrough and the most known PS horror games, as this genre is my favourite.
Thank you in advance.
Eternal Darkness

STALKER with mods
System Shock 2, 1999 RPG/FPS/horror
The atmosphere and overwhelming feeling of being alone on an infested spaceship just terrifies me so much that I can't even continue playing, although it's really not that spooky. I'm just a fucking puss
Try it out though, might like it
Am I going to regret starting a marathon of the entire main Ultima games? I've got all of them on GOG, and I'm ready to start up Ultima I.
I've never played a single one before.
>>321510171
You'll need a guide.
It's near impossible to get through 1 without one, due to the game failing to tell you some things.
If you stick to the games and ignore 9, you're going to have a blast, especially 4 as it's, in my opinion, the best RPG ever made. Good luck, Anon.
>>321510307
I've never heard of Ultima IX, anon. Maybe you're dreaming.
I have a guide for Ultima I because I tried playing it blind a little while ago and just couldn't. I started reading the guide and had my mind absolutely blown when I read I needed to go buy a literal space ship.
As a UO vet that never played the main series, my mind was full of fuck.
>>321510307
>ignore 9
8 is already pretty bad.
/v/, do you still like me?
After

Would you pay for a game starring leatherman breaking out of the leather club God Hand-style and working his way through progressively hetero, progressively dangerous gyms where he challenges the bosses to wrestling matches and more?

I'm sold.
/r/ing that pic of Leatherman as Whitesnake from Jojo. Alternatively Leatherman brawling with Gymboss as Whitesnake and Star Platinum respectively.

Do you?
Good thing you found /v/.
There's nothing interesting you could say about video games that hasn't been said a thousand times before, OP. Give us a sample of your writing and prove me wrong or shut the fuck up and go to bed.
Dawn of War/WH40k thread
I'm playing through the DoW2 campaign and I have a question: does the pace ever really pick up? Because so far all the missions feel mostly the same without a solid story to back them: deploy squad, kill target, return to ship
The early mission where you had to defend a strategic position was interesting but pretty much a cakewalk. It's also a pain in the ass having to fight both the Tyranids and the fucking "silly mon keigh I have tricked you into destroying my army" Eldar. Currently I have like 30000 objectives to take care of and make sure no planet gets swarmed by the Nids
Just wanna get through this so I can move onto chaos rising which I heard is great
>>321509467
40k is literally deploy, kill, return. That's how it works. What the fuck did you expect from a video game?
DoW2 campaign is basically an A-RPG. You don't play for the story, you play for the loot. And if you're not having fun with the DoW2 campaign, you're not going to have fun with any of the campaigns so just youtube the story instead.
>>321509579
Some variety in the way missions play at the very least
Every fucking mission is
>orbital drop
>get assaulted by small enemy squads as soon as you take a step
<move from one end of the map to the next one shooting everything along the way and capturing optional structures
>Kill target enemy commander which is usually like a 2 minute battle where some damage sponge runs around constantly fucking targetting Avitus and then a ton of enemy reinforcements come in and fuck up half my squad
>Repead ad infinitum for every misssion
Would be nice to have a mission that doesn't play out like this
