I'm pretty sure that both ways of thinking existed in the 1990s and still does exist now
But why doesn't anyone give this final fantasy the recognition it deserves? It's 10 times better than VIII, 5 times better than IX, 2 times better than X, and if not better than equal to VII. II was good but was greatly surpassed by pic related.

I think it's the best FF, myself.

Hi, I'm a filthy casual and the only RPG I have ever played is skyrim. Why is the combat system in xenoblade chronicles so weird? Can I control aiming/shooting at all, out of combat, or in it?
Right now, it just shoots and reloads automatically.

I was thinking earlier about how neat it would be to have a gunslinging jedi, like The man with no name in space. Imagining them as a self-exiled man roaming the galaxy collecting bounties with a handcannon of a blaster thathe can shoot to parry away saber attacks or something

It filters the entire game, not just UI.
Turn off the fucking xRBZ/Hybrid filter.
In PPSSPP go to Game Settings -> Texture Scaling and set it to "Bicubic" (NOT Hybrid Bicubic)

Soul sacrifice is the only game I know of like that.
You sacrifice your "eye" to cast bad ass Awsome spell, but lose 1/2 vision of game screen for duration if fight. At the end when scored you get a big bonus for pulling off those giant spells.
You could sacrifice different body pars for all different spells.
I remember seeing videos of some game where you basically play a zombie who can individually control all of his body party even after being severed apart. Like if you were decapitated your head would just roll around and bite people or something.
