There's been a good few threads about it. Not nearly as much TWD or TWAU had though. I do agree that it's pretty excellent. Easily TT's best work imo.
I never would've thought that anything set in the Borderlands universe would be so good. But it turns out it's actually pretty cool when you have good writing and refrain from filling the game with Claptraps and dank memes.

I'm glad I have two 3DSes, so I can have the best of both worlds.
Ok, FF14 honest opinions? How do you feel it stands against wow and wildstar? What about on its own?
So far, this one is for me the most solid and distinct game. At first I went into the game mainly for roleplaying, since that's what MMOs are for me nowadays, but this is actually pretty fun.
What about you guys, what do you think about it?

End game has had 4 raid bosses (that no one likes) for over 6 months now. They released a side content thing where players went to an island and chain pulled enemies non-stop for BiS gear (essentially doing what they did from 1-60 for BiS gear). In the same patch that this was added they introduced an RTS pet battle game that no one played and had a comparatively small amount of quests added to the MSQ. The patch also made it easy for players to get really powerful weapons. Over a month later they introduced the relic weapons, finally, that had worse stats than other more easily obtainable weapons that people already had for, I think, 9 of the jobs. This weapon will last you a month at best by the time you complete it before they add a new raid tier raising the iLV from 210 so why even bother at this point.
That's how the design of the game is at this point.

Whats /v/ opinion on the Souls franchise and on the Souls like games like Bloodborne and Lords of the Fallen?
Personally i love them, and even though Dark Souls 2 was avarage (for a Souls series game) i'm extremelly excited for Dark Souls 3 and will buy it in a blink of a eye.

I got Ground Zeroes when it was on Games with Gold and it was my first Metal Gear game. I loved it so much that in anticipation for The Phantom Pain I went through and played all the previous MGS games. I wish that I hadn’t done so prior to playing The Phantom Pain because all it did was set me up for massive disappointment.
Don’t get me wrong I still really liked TPP (even the plot) but it was far from the experience I was conditioned by the previous games into expecting. Even Peace Walker, which shared the “Tactical Espionage Operations” tag instead of the “Tactical Espionage Action” of the older games, couldn’t clue me in because it still told a coherent and linear story albeit heavily and arbitrarily segmented.
Where it all went wrong for me was shortly after first arriving in Africa. By Episode 12 it really felt like the story was finally starting to pick up but after the admittedly spectacular Episode 13 I was back to doing “Main Ops” that seemed like they had as much relevance to the plot as the side ops did. I’m betting that if the game was given as much time/budget as it needed to be truly ‘finished’ then nearly half of the “Main Ops” would have ended up as those yellow ‘important’ Side Ops.
A lot of people are complaining about the recycled missions in Chapter 2. The problem I had with these was that there isn’t an Extreme, Subsistence and Total Stealth version of every mission. Why the fuck not? Ground Zeroes had Normal and Hard mode for every mission and the previous games had different difficulty settings, so why doesn’t this one?
Despite all these glaring shortcomings the core gameplay of TPP is the best MGS has ever seen. There is an almost unlimited amount of ways to infiltrate every base and outpost. However despite all this openness I still have far less of a desire to replay TPP as I do the first 3 MGS games because the Mother Base metagame makes it all seem like such a chore and it’s not viable to completely ignore building up Diamond Dogs.
