OoT done on an eerie spin was MM.
Toilet Princess wants be hardcore but his parents won't let him.
I mean seriously the stakes aren't even as high(in OOT you're resetting a timeline where ganondorf has won, and in MM the world is literally ending, TP just has you defending from some invading dickbags with dark world magic), and the characters it wants you to rescue have no charm or personality. At least in SS when zelda inevitably gets nabbed there's been decent build up of her, even if some of it is blatant waifu pandering.

Asylum Demon was a great opening boss fight
Of course he's piss-easy in later playthroughs but he sets the tone of the game quite nicely
Capra Demon is the one boss fight that takes place in a tight corridor
Iron Golem fight was pretty fucking cool, given that it's on a fairly small platform and he's so fucking huge
The only boss I didn't like was Bed of Chaos, the rest were varying levels of good and the O&S fight was pretty much perfect.
Has anyone else on v/ noticed that the general opinion of a video game tends to regress to what video game "journalists" rate it over time, no matter what the original reaction to it was?

Well I don't mean just referring to scores, I mean general opinion of games. For instance when a game is rated highly or as "game of the year", even if it wasn't originally that well received in the gaming community, people tend to start talking as if it was years latter. This happens on /v/, and some niche genre specific forums I've browsed, where a game that wasn't all that well liked when it was released but got good scores is more and more liked as time goes on.
I don't know, maybe I'm just imagining it.
Because the negative knee-jerk bandwagon review party only lasts for so long.
Most of which don't even come from people who intended to play the game in the first place.
Jeremey Soule is the best vidya composer.
