So I just got asked a very interesting question that I wasn't able to answer off the top of my head, that I was curious about what you guys thought and would come up with for answers.
In your opinion, what is the best made game of all time? Not necessarily your favorite game, as your favorite game could have flaws or elements that make it less game-like, but instead in your opinion, if you were asked to show someone what a prime example of "video game" was, what would you show them?

When did you stop being impressed by graphics, /v/? Crysis for me.
I remember when I was younger I was blown away by graphical improvements. Like the FFVIII fmv, soul reaver then moving on to defiance.
Is it because improvements are such a comparatively small gap these days?
I havent stopped being blown away by good graphics, it's just that games arent pushing hardware to its limits anymore because of consolization.

How would you make a game where you play as the Flash? (cont'd from the last thread)
My idea:
Open-world sandbox game that were CUHRAYZEE.
You know how in MGR, if you hold R, you run? That should be the basic control scheme of controlling the Flash's speed, only there should be several levels of it, maybe needing to tap it however number of times and hold it down for a certain level of speed, ranging from just a bit faster than your average person, to super sonic speeds, and maybe even beyond.
There would also be a slow-mo effect to simulate light speed or something. So in addition to moving fast as fuck, everything around you could be slowed down as well.
You'd have a plethora of abilities to gain as well. You'd be able to steal speed from enemies, making them slower or even outright immobile, the ability to phase through solid objects, making tornadoes by running around in a circle, and so on.
The game might also flip over traditional conceptions of time. For example, one mission might require you to get across the city within 30 seconds, which might seem like super tight timing in any other action game, but here you're playing as the Flash, so 30 seconds becomes more like 3 minutes and time slows down around you.
To compensate for your powers, boss fights could be incredibly difficult and against foes who would actually stand a chance against the Flash and be able to slow him down, like the Rogues, Zoom, and so on. Captain Cold might be able to freeze you, Heatwave could put you on fire, Mirror Master would be tricky as fuck to catch and be able to create mirror clones of himself, etc. And Zoom is self-explanatory.
