Why do submachine guns zoom in so god damn much.
They also suck. Pretty much all weapons suck unless they're semi auto assault rifles, snipers or pistols. A hyperion shotgun that increases accuracy as it shoots is pretty boss though.
So this was unexpectedly not bad. KOTOR+RIsen3 kind of thing, clunky but working.
Wish studio doesn't go down, we need more AA games like this.

Same reason other old genres that are supposedly good are dead. Examples include single player FPS, RTS, cRPGs, sidescrolling, 3D platforming etc.
And that reason is that they're all shit and the only reason people think they were ever good is nostalgia.

Shit, why is this game so good? I only played a few other metroidvanias before, but this just blows my mind, and it's damn fun too.

Well it's pretty different than most Metroidvanias, you should still be able to have fun with others without really comparing them. Nothing else is really likely to compare though. Music and boss fights are GOAT.
