Is this game worth it? I enjoyed the demo quite a bit, but I've been hesitant to spend a whopping $50 on it.

it is good
Finished it a few hours ago, dropped 56h on it. It's an outstanding game, go for it if you like srpgs and jrpgs in general.

>Sexy as fuck designs
Battles are kind of slow compared to other srpgs though

LoL does have a mechanic like that.
The worst part is that in both games you can't tell what your opponents are using at all. Good luck chasing after that guy with +40% sprint speed. Oh, you didn't realize you were wasting ammo on the tank he only takes 20% less damage from the front. Bird shooting rockets that can take you out in 5 hits, good thing he has 35% shield penetration to make those overshields worthless.

It takes more effort and costs more money but, it is a workaround.

Alright double niggers, what is wrong with the hacking game genre? Why are there so few notable games? How do other games fuck up their hacking minigames so colossally? Why are there no good hacking games coming up?

Uplink was the shit but its literally fifteen years old at this point. Is the market for hacking games really so small that no one has made something to top it?

Hacker Evolution you just explore a level and then restart it to hack things in the optimal order.
It is cool how it links a hacked computer to a location in the world though, like the first level where you're hacking traffic lights that you can see in the background. But the strategy to it all feels rock-paper-scissory, and not in a good way

I'll admit I enjoyed Two Towers and RotK on my ps2 but you can't really say they were good games. Shadow of Mordor and that pandemic Battlefront clone were decent but have we ever really had a GOOD LotR game?
