they tried to shovel as much menial content (stats for example) in as possible and made the map unnecessarily large, which kinda made it feel soulless. dialog was GOAT tho.

I second For Answer. It controls extraordinarily well once you get used to it (I think it's the B control scheme you want), and it plays amazingly. That being said, many people complain that it's too fast, and the early PS1 games are better.

PS1/2 games have 1 stick controls too until From finally learned the PS2 control came with dual analog sticks standard with Armored Core Nexus. If you can't get over the control scheme start with that.
The older games handle better than the PSP games though since they have the appropriate number of buttons the games need.

Every time I bit into an enemy in VtM Bloodlines or whenever I fucked up a jump as Faith in Mirror's Edge and she got splattered on the cement, I would basically feel a stirring in my dick. If I repeat those actions several times in a row, I'd basically get full mast hard.

Red dead did a bunch of things right. If you sped up, the NPC would pick up the pace while walking, and if you simply held down the x or a button your horse would automatically try it's hardest to stay next to your travelling companion

I think they have a real winner with the new unreal tournament, it's an excellent game, completely free, runs on toasters too. Lots of mod potential and can be extremely beautiful if you have the hardware

I got into the stress test. I've been following it since announcement. I don't want to buy into the beta until OCE servers become available, but from the little bit of the stress test that I've played it's pretty fun.
All the heroes being free is a good start, but I'm a little worried that the card system might make it a bit too P2W though. That being said, I actually like the way each person only has a limited selection of gear to choose from, I hope they can strike a balance between making the system fun and making the system fair for everyone.
This feels like the kind of game that I wanted from Smite. At the moment it feels pretty rough with a lot of placeholder stuff still in. In the end, I think it might be a fairly decent game and something that I'd sink a bit of time into.
But if a lack of polish seems a bit daunting, I'd probably wait for release. At least then it'll be free and you're not losing anything by trying it.
