I just beat Ghost Trick after hearing you fuckers rave about it non-stop for years now.
and HOLY FUCK that was a wild ride. People told me the story was good but I did not expected to be slapped in the face by the twists as many times as I did.
I was spoiled on the main twist but surprisingly that hardly had a bearing on my enjoyment. There's so much to the story besides that and not like Persona 4 where just knowing the killer ruins the entire plot.
One thing I've never seen anyone talk about the game is the amazing direction. I like the spotlight effects to highlight important objects or people, I love the moment wherethe screen pans down from the moon to Cabanela holding a gun to Jowd, things like that. It's clear this game was a work of passion.
I looked up what the game's writer/director is up to now and it seems like he's still doing Ace Attorney. Honestly I think that series is getting kind of bloated now. It would be great if he did more new IPs but I guess Capcom won't let him since only Ace Attorney still sells.
What does /v/ think?

I've never participated in 3x3 threads but I get now that they're a pretty good source of finding good games and hidden gems. I should probably make a 3x3, Ghost Trick is definitely getting a psot on it.
What did you think of the new episode? That introduction was actually well animated for once, hot damn.

Has anyone else noticed the enemy trend in FPS nowadays? Enemies are all very samey, some just have more health (usually with a heavier weapon).
What happened to FPS enemies of old like in Doom? They all attack very differently and are highly stylized to differentiate between each other. You would never mistake an Imp for a Hellknight and you would never treat them equally in terms of who to kill first.
Or like in Serious Sam. Is there anyone that would treat a KamikazeAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHlike a Kleer?
There are exceptions of course, like the various special zombies in Dying Light or in Left 4 Dead. But for the most part FPS today is just slaying waves of grunts with the exact same attack and defend patterns.

Video game ideas thread
>Open world sandbox western themed
>Banking system that allows you to store weapons, outfits, etc.
>Able to loot players for their guns, ammo, outfits and mounts in PVP
>PVE will consist of bank robberies, train robberies, and other goodies
>RPG stats like Strength, intelligence, shooting, survival that will let you engage in PVE differently for example instead of running into a bank robbing it if you have high enough intelligence you can bribe guards and get information from employees to plan better.
>Can play the game solo or join a faction. Joining a faction gives you a higher chance to survive in PVP. Playing Solo means you don't have to split loot with anyone and you can invade any town.
>Will be different classes that have tuned specializations. Bounty hunters can track down wanted players easier and police will co-operate with them easier. Outlaws have the ability to evade police easier and have options to rob more NPCs and players. Bank robbers will have more options when robbing banks and receive more money from doing so. Renegades will focus around solo play allowing you to tame dogs and live in the wilderness.

I personally think Read dead redemption 2 should adapt some of these ideas for online gameplay or simply create a game like this.
