Thinking of picking this up, but was Doom 3 bad or something? I never really hear it spoken of.
It's ok.
Not bad exactly, just mediocre and forgettable.
Don't buy BFG edition, it's a downgrade from the original.

The overworld in this game is amazing, the music is truly beautiful.

This game had the hardest Legendary mode, it was incredibly satisfying beating it solo.
The tank mission was probably my favorite.
ODST's coastal highway was pretty goddamn amazing.

AAI2 is one of the best games of the franchise up there with T&T, but AAI is around JFA level. They're totally optional, but they do add new gameplay mechanics you're sure to love.

This is the best Doom game. Better than the other 3.
Here's why:

>combat also takes skill because it doesn't consist of running around and shooting like a retard

>horror atmosphere is God-tier
>moreenemy variety than the other Doom games(even that turd Remake that just came out), also brave enough to introduce new enemies

Oh please, it's literally the same as the previous games with the sole difference being that they dropped the default screen brightness to 0.
Also, the game is slow as shit, easy as piss since everything has a huge hitbox and rarely shows up more than 2-3 at a time until the end, and has the worst weapon design in the series.

What are the tactical advantages of fighting half naked?
No constraints on your torso for full movement
No clothing for your opponent to grab onto
Heat ventilation
Sweat can make you harder to grasp

Liquid was still at a disadvantage because he had long hair though, Solid was smart enough to cut his off before starting the mission.

What Wii U or PS4 (or PC games that can run on a toaster) have a lot of replayability? They also need to fulfill the criteria of 1. A game where you control a character (so no strategy games) and 2. bright and colorful (like pic related). It should also ideally not be sci-fi, and not involve competitive elements.
My friend plays Dark Souls 3 and Splatoon, but they play them almost obsessively (they delete their character and start over if they don't have a perfect run, for example). I want to find a game for them that they can play and get into, without getting overwhelmed with being absolutely monstrous at it. If you have any ideas, it'd really be appreciated.

Just picked this up for $2. This is one of the coziest video games I have ever played

It's a deeply flawed game for various reasons, but it had moments of absolute brilliance that made it stand out.
