Why haven't there been any videogames based on War of the Worlds? One of the original Sci Fi Stories.

When did the "muh 60fps" fetish take root? Crysis didn't run at 60fps in 2007, and it still can't run at 60fps on consumer hardware. What happened? Nowdays a PC game is "shit" if it can't hold 60fps on the highest settings.
Shit, I played Crysis at sub 30 FPS at 900p in 2008 and loved it.
I'm really only picky about my FPS in games where it matters. I don't mind a better looking game at a lower frame rate as long as it's not LOCKING me to that when I can do better (PC) or hindering the gameplay in any way.

It can't. Crysis has severe bottlenecking issues that cause the game to drop down to around 30fps on an i7.
