Who the fuck thought any of the characters looked aesthetically pleasing to anyone?
Do you guys think vidya are the hardest "drugs" of any entertainment medium and that people more prone to thrill and sensual seeking are likely to play them?
For example, I fucked up my wrists playing games a while back and couldn't really play for like 6 months. It was hell and it felt like I went through withdrawals. I tried reading books and it was boring. I tried watching movies and it was boring as fuck. TV shows and anime yielded similar results. It was like a professional athlete retiring/getting injured and then turning to drugs because nothing else matches the stimulation he receives in the middle of a match. And that's what I did-everything else was just not stimulating enough; I didn't wake up itching to watch movies or read a book.
Just look at all of these "tired gamer" threads that pop up on /v/ everyday. You don't fucking burnout that hard on non-substance induced stimulation usually, which leads me to believe that vidya are some of the most stimulating non-drug things around today.
Well I didnt have the same experience as you, Ive been playing games non stop for 30 years.
But it is true that every other medium is now in a very distant second place, I used to watch anime all the time and all kinds of it, then just moe anime and now I cant really stand anime when I could be playing

About the tired gamer thing I never understood it, those people either only play 3-4 genres of games or their lives are a wreck and subconsciuosly blame videogames making their brains not enjoy them anymore

Anyone else think that older games look better than newer ones? Newer games aim for a more realistic look that results in a more convuluted and uninteresting aesthetic.

Really depends on the game, but in general? I agree.
It's not exactly because modern games try to look "more realistic", it's just that they have shitty art directing in general. Combine this with outsourced visual assets and over-doze of shitty screen filters, and you got yourself an eye-cancer mess.

Valve doesn't release this information. Valve could take SteamSpy down if they wanted but they choose not to. When the guy tried to make people pay for certain types of information Valve quickly shut him down and said that he can only keep it up if all information is available to anyone.
So yea, if a developer requests it they should be able to have it removed otherwise Valve will probably attempt to shut him down for good.

In game ISIC is overpowered as all fuck and honestly should have his ult nerfed. A mobile bastion turret that has a railgun AND missles? Wew.
Also the opening cartoon was well animated.
To all people who may have played BattleBorn, I get that you all like Disneywatch better.
But can we actually discuss why this game still got a 74 on metacritic?
A 74 isn't a bad game, it just not a great game.
And in my eyes that's just what BattleBorn is, a perfectly average game that did a few things right, but also a lot wrong.
