Japanese original DOES have accents, just Japanese ones. Japan has different accents for different regions, you just don't pick it up as a gaijin. DQ games always tried portraying the different Japanese accents. They thought how to replicate this in English and they went for accents of different countries.

So basically, companies like NISA justify all their censorship bullshit on "muh M rating" and "muh ESRB costs".
If a game doesn't get an M the first time around, they would have to censor it more then have it re-evaluated, right? And that costs money, so to avoid this they censor it out the ass first try, just to be on the safe side, even though there's a small chance that the game could very well have gotten an M if left untouched, but they just didn't wanna risk it.
Why don't they just crowd-fund their ESRB costs then? There's so many weebs with disposable income out there I'm sure they can find enough to cover 1 or 2 ESRB fees. Let them fund you so you can actually try for once to submit a fully uncensored version with no worries, and hey, if it doesn't work, at least you actually tried so your user base can't call you on being a fucking coward, right?
