Has video game budgets spiraled out of control? How can vanillaware make such an awesome game with such a tight budget, yet studios with literally 80 million can't?
This also works the other side, how can indieshit get hundreds of thousands of dollars in kickstarter handouts yet produce trash games in RPG maker?
I think devs lose their focus with money and time.
Art through adversity
Vanillaware starves themselves and mainly do it for the art. Yes that's admirable, but clearly not sustainable for the much bigger companies.

The point is that studios waste money on irrelevant things instead of just focusing on the game. I'm looking at you kojima productions. Instead of spending money on dinners with kiefer and joost, why not make the game? They clearly lost track, because the game was never finished and a massive disappointment for all of us. Their budget was huge too.
Also take fallout 3, why have liam neeson as a voice actor in that game? What value did it add other than bloating the budget? Literally anyone, an aspiring voice actor, would do it for peanuts

I'm currently grinding the pistol loadout point and it's not fun, so doing pistol only build with para .45.
Command is the only mode that I enjoy playing. DM is just boring, and plunder doesn't seem to work with randoms at all.
You think they'll release some maps that allow vehicles? Cause thats something I really want.

Why would they remake DP for a system that's natively capable of playing the originals
I would happily play them, but I'm not exactly clamoring for them. DPPt's mechanics aren't outdated to the point it hampers my enjoyment in a replay.
If anything Kanto needs another remake more. The still fairly empty Kanto in HGSS's post-game isn't enough.

Rising Storm 2 is coming out soon, so it will probably go on sale and get a large playerbase boost soon so it would be a good time to jump in.
If you want realistic warfare, make sure to play on servers marked as Classic. If you can't find that Realism is okay too, Action is literal COD trash though.
