Bethesda stealing Autumn Leaves has reminded me this mod exists. I've heard of it being like a hardcore NV, with an edgy storyline about how everything is dead and aggressive.
Is the mod worth while? I was discouraged due to everything being essentially dead, and hearing that the game is not very fair.

Holy shit /v/, this game just became very good all of a sudden. Survival mode literally improved on this game 100x plus 1 like holy shit.
You can no longer save scum like a faggot and just keep reloading that save if you fuck up a speech check. So getting held up by group of raiders or gunner is now actually horrifying like its meant to be since if you dont pay up they can actually fuck you up.
Food and those inns in the main cities are actually useful since the beds can be used for saving, and finding a settlement is actually worth something. Its fucking great you guys should come back in

Too bad this is a fucking Bethesda game. The reason you're told to keep a shitload of saves isn't because of choices or anything, it's because the game is buggy and you could get FUCKED at any given time.
I found it in the middle of my very hard playthrough that I had suffered a game breaking bug in far harbor hours and hours ago that meant I couldn't complete the story and I had to reload the game. If I'd been playing Survival, I'd have been flat fucked.

The investigation quests are pretty damn neat and the lore in general is awesome.
Not just the overall storyline with the cthulhu dark sludge stuff but each individual zone and heck even the smaller areas within them like the park and the "Monster Hunter Club"
