Graphics don't ever need to improve /v/. That's right. They've hit a point where they can facilitate any artstyle flawlessly (except for super-realism, which is a shit artstyle anyway).
Developers need to focus on improving physics, animations and artificial intelligence. They are far more important to the 'timelessness' of a video game in my opinion.
Thoughts?
I agree, graphics have hit that point where any improvements are barely noticeable. Now they need to focus on making good games.

I was already fine with Deus Ex tier graphics. What I want is more TECHNOLOGY and player freedom. But of course it would be near impossible to sell a game with graphics like that no matter how innovative the gameplay was.

Why the fuck is nobody playing any RTS, there isn't even an RTS general on /vg/. I've been playing SC2 so I didn't need another game, but now that I'm taking a break between seasons I want to play something, but except for AoE2 everything is dead and new games are nonexistent, what the fuck? I have a "cracked" wii U so I'll play the "shitty inferior version" for free. To be honest 720p bothers me since I switched to a 50" 1080p TV last year but what can you do? I'm also considering waiting for the Wii U emulator for glorious 1080/60fps experience but that may take a while.
NX will probably use a mobile chip with barely more computing power than the wii U. Nintendo stopped giving a shit with the wii.

Although I have BF4 and premium on PC and did not even intend to buy hardline at all, with that price it is a bargain.
Also because EA have been giving all the DLC away for free for the last month on console and origin, and me actually adding them to my accounts becaue it was free. I just got both games and nearly all DLC for them both very cheap
