Hey /v/,
I just beat BG2 Throne of Bhaal on Insane first try, and HOLY FUCK WHAT A GREAT GAME.
Engaging combat, great story, great pace, great items, everything is just amazing - it's fucking perfect, pure perfection. Except one thing: The world is too small and it's over too soon.
So why isn't there something with the same isometric DnD tactical gameplay like BG2, but the world of f.e. WoW? It would be amazing, I think I would play it day and night.
(I've looked through all the other DnD titles, like Icewind Dale 2, Pillars of Eternity or Divinity: Original Sin, and I can't find anything like it)

because hand-crafting large worlds and filling them with interesting and engaging content is a fuckton of work.

When is this game supposed to get fun? I'm about halfway through the game and its been shit. Wolf Link is terrible. Just finished Lakebed Temple.
Also the sounds and music are bad for a Zelda game

Lakebed Temple is one of the better dungeons, apart from that piss easy SOTC wannabe boss
It gets better but wolf link remains awful. Be happy they lowered the amount of tears in the HD version.
Did you not enjoy the fire dungeon where you threw around gorons with steel boots, or the puzzles of the temple?
the wind and ice temples are fun
I think its a miracle how good this turned out to be considering how much out of touch Modern Nintendo is.
I think it looks fun. Which is all that matters to me. I still want to know more about it, but I'm definitely thinking of buying a cheap Wii U.

I'm genuinely excited for it, which is something that more or less never happens these days. If this turns out to be as good as it looks, I think I can forgive Nintendo for their mistakes these last few years.

It's ok, not great but not bad. Decent story with great characters and an OST with some real special pieces, the downside is the content can be rather lacking and a lot of the lore/backstory really goes nowhere because they never got around putting it into the game.
I tend to enjoy tales games while I'm playing them and then being disappointed in retrospect. This was no exception. If you've liked the last few games you'll probably like this one.
