Are you getting a true 240Hz gaming monitor when it arrives?
I play on a 144Hz panel and an overclocked CRT at 200Hz is even better but I fear it'll destroy my desk.

What's the diminishing returns like on these high refresh rate monitors? I've heard the jump from 60 is huge but past 120 it's harder and harder to tell the difference.

This is my opinion but:
60 -> 75: Noticeable but not a massive difference
60 -> 120: Very noticeable and much less motion blur, even navigating the OS feels much more fluid
120 -> 144: I can't tell the difference
144 -> 200(CRT): The CRT feels just as smooth but with less motion blur
It's a TN so no. My next monitor will be IPS 165hz. There'll probably be a 240hz IPS soon though, hopefully with g sync and low motion blur
