How are people so good with sniping? I can't ever get a kill, they seem to just fire and kill, but me? Nope, I can fire 1000 times and hit them once.
There's moving targets, the aim is small, and you have to charge up her shots to deal any damage at all.

It's old and visually rough around the edges but it is pretty addicting for a Genesis game. Second level is like the primeval ancestor of Super Meat Boy.

It's like ludo narrative dissonance but backwards, it works when you get to see the changes as the moon gets closer.

Why was this so mildly received? It still looks absolutely fantastic today and has some of the best production values in any game

About the worst thing you could say about it is the lacklustre main story and the fact that the human characters become relatively obsolete by the end of the game.
It was somewhat vindicated by history but it really shouldn't have had to be. Why is Microsoft just sitting on the license? Why not at least port it to PC or something? I honestly don't think we're going to get as good of a turn based RPG again. This is why Microsoft needs to be on the backfoot more often; they publish some quality stuff when they're trying to get people's attention.
I really liked it, but never got around to finishing the last disc and don't own it anymore, i would love a port, and it should be backwards compatible on the Xbox one soon if it's not already because Microsoft just allowed multi disc games to work

Because it's an Xbox exclusive. I can't blame Phil for putting out Gears-Halo-Forza when it's the only thing the retards buy. Every time they try something new, even if it's good, Xbots just don't support it. Hopefully with PC and Xbox merging that will change.

Why don't developers of singleplayer plot-driven games make games that will make you want to wish you could play it for the first time again anymore?
Why do modern game devs hate being creative and pouring their souls into projects?
The last game to make me think "I wish I could play this for the first time again" was the La-mulana remake. That wasn't even story driven! That was just an amazing, fun adventure. As a matter of fact, all the best singleplayer games tend to make you wish you could play them for the first time again.
Why, /v/, do singleplayer game devs make stupid, boring/bland/uncreative garbage with mediocre gameplay, non-existent sound direction, and "realistic" art styles?
And indie game devs aren't exempt from this, too, 99% of the games on itch.io are literally 1970's arcade games with a splash of paint thrown on them that you can play as long as you can before you get bored.

And that's because Dark Souls was yet another action/adventure game that strived to be timeless and memorable, yet unique and new. Even the fucking Zelda games were able to pull this off.
Modern games, however, are just exploiting what "works" instead of trying to make something fun.
Also to people who like weeb exploitation games like Senran Kagura, Dead or Alive, and Neptunia, do you actually see any value in it besides the cute girls?
