Recent News:
Highway Blossoms is out, H-patch is slightly delayed
Nurse Love Addiction's launch delayed until July
Planet Stronghold Colonial Defense added free DLC with new romances
Reject Demon Toko working on new art and voice acting
It seems like this is the year of translated yuri games, I've been ecstatic with the news of all the upcoming releases
Steam summer sale soon.
>>2073846
Oh boy, time for Blossoming on the Highwayonce I finish my backlog...but I'll buy it now I guess.
I'm just glad it's very reasonably priced.
>every single game on Steam now launches with a 10% discount, in many cases probably just increasing the price they want to sell it at by 10 - 11% beforehand so it has no actual effect beyond looking tempting and getting on Steam's 'specials' section
I am unreasonably upset about this trend.
>>2073863
But Highway Blossoms is $10 with a 15% discount. That seems pretty fair.
>>2073864
I have nothing against Highway Blossoms nor its price (and indeed you'd be dumb NOT to join in on this trend from a business standpoint), just the trend in general whether it's a $5 game or a $50 game. Steam really should crack down on this shit.
Creator is an idiot but Yuri is Yuri so ill grab it while its on sale.
>>2073869
Why would they crack down on people doing exactly what they want them to do?
>>2073917
To clean up Steam's Specials section and make it not worthless.
>>2073952
I wonder if they're going to do 40% off on launch like the last 2 releases.
>>2073890
Please elaborate.
>>2074047
I think I remember him calling Kindred Spirits "boring and mediocre", and said his game would be the best Yuri game of the year. His ego seems to be further increased by the fact his twitter used (?) to say "Hideo Konjima of Yuri games)
>>2074052
Well then... how is his yuri game?
>>2074052
>said his game would be the best Yuri game of the year
No, he didn't. He made a joke that he would NOT say that it would NOT be the best game of the year, and /evn/ decided to run with calling him a massive egotist and pretending he'd said what he hadn't.
Sometimes the internet handles jokes badly.
>>2074053
It just very... I don't know the right word for it. There's nothing fundamentally wrong with it that I can point at, I just can't find anything that makes me go "Wow! Glad I picked this up!" It's the same problem that C14 Dating had. I'm not done yet, so I am hoping it picks up and finally wows me.
>>2074056
it's when you're waiting for a movie to get good but it never does.
>>2073847
H-patch is out now
http://highwayblossoms.com/hbadult/
Almost finish Highway blossom and I have to say it's rather kinetic novel than the actual game.
No choice, no route, no romance options.
But it has its great point, the art is great and consistant, Amber is likable and Marina is cute as hell.
Anyway, I think the overall writing is so-so? (Maybe because I'm not the fan of US Sightseeing and whatever)
All in all, I like Starlight Vega's story, characters and gameplay a lot more. But Highway blossom is also pretty enjoyable.
Anyway, I still haven't finished it so maybe my opinion will change.
>>2073890
T creator? He the guy who wrote most of Melody's route in Starlight Vega?
>>2074052
The Kojima thing was in response to shitposting from /evn/. They shit on him and his team a lot and someone said that he acts like the Kojima of VN's, so he changed his Twitter to that
>>2074158
Speaking of /evn/, the current thread is shitting on Highway Blossoms pretty hard.
>>2074166
They always shit on Alienworks
>>2074157
He wrote "the draft" of Melody's route according to an interview. Is HB his first actual game?
>>2074138
>Almost finish Highway blossom and I have to say it's rather kinetic novel than the actual game.
>No choice, no route, no romance options.
>But it has its great point, the art is great and consistant, Amber is likable and Marina is cute as hell.
So it's more about just reading or rather watching a short story than actually playing a game.
>>2074188
It's a visual novel. It's also too short for tons of branching I'd say. Steam page says like 90k words. It's not like there aren't tons of OELVNs with less than that and multiple routes.. but they usually suck hard or are just too fleeting as a result. This is roughly the length you'll see a lot of "normal" multi-route full-price VNs have with one playthrough.
>>2073847
>Planet Stronghold Colonial Defense added free DLC with new romances
Yeah, yeah. More romances is fun and all, I guess, but the important question is: are there any new cards to play around with?
>>2074232
I don't think so.
>It also adds the “Quick Play” mode, which lets you do quick matches against ten predefined enemy decks. You can also tweak the AI resources, so you can tailor the game’s difficulty to your skills.
http://www.winterwolves.net/blog/2016/06/pscd-free-dlc-is-now-out/
>>2074138
Finished the game
Well, It's an okay game though a bit boring.
But I don't like the setting, the stories and I think the characters are quite plain.
Actually, I like Yurirei-san (aka Kindred spirit) which the developer of the game said that it's boring and tedious a lot more.
He shouldn't said that at all lol when his game isn't so great and much more boring.
I think the best thing of the whole game is the art and maybe the music? (but I don't like this kind of music sooo..?)

>>2074302
Well, he's not wrong. I also found it to be a bit tedious.
>>2074302
That's really reasonable. He's not insulting anyone, just saying it's not for him.
>>2074303
It's more them criticizing a popular title in the medium that they themselves are replicating, then not living up to their own claims of being the best yuri evn. It just makes them look bad.
>>2074308
This.
It's not a problem at all if he's not the developer who develops Yuri Game which turns out to be no better than the game he claimed to be "slow and dry"
>>2074308
It only makes them look bad to idiot babies
>>2074229
70k, not 90k
>>2074308
>them criticizing a popular title in the medium that they themselves are replicating
How dare he personally not really like a game while carefully layering that statement with qualifiers to not invalidate others opinions
Christ, and people complain about public comments turning into hugboxes. If you can't even make THIS level of "i didn't think it was the best thing ever" statement without people holding it against you...
>not living up to their own claims of being the best yuri evn
Claims which they never made, which it's been repeatedly pointed out they never made.
Look, I don't even want Highway Blossoms to be successful because I find KNs boring, but I detest it when people get bees in their bonnets and continually repeat nonsense to try and discredit an author they don't like. I didn't like it when everyone turned against the Rising Hope dude and at least then we had some REASON for the torches and pitchforks.
>>2074321
>At least tens of words, maybe even hundreds. Although the last word count puts it around 90,000, so expect 6 or so hours of reading.
>>2074353
Then they've again changed it because that sentence read 70,000 on release. It also doesn't honestly seem that long from what I've been playing.
>>2074364
They changed it anyway. The first version was
>>At least tens of words, maybe even hundreds.
Or something. I don't remember 70k. Though I doubt that figure is made up or anything. This may also include (or rather: most likely include) the additional stuff during a replay.
>>2074366
I know, I was the one complaining about it the first time. I decided to buy it anyway and give them a second chance to impress me. Changing numbers, adding glorifying tags to their own stuff before release, and a few other things have spoiled my opinion of the group though.
>>2074369
Hi, I'm one of the devs. I added the word count because it was a valid criticism (also, the final wordcount is probably closer to 80k or so, and that's not counting the joke extra content).
The tags though (or at least the subjective ones) weren't done by us. We added the ones like "anime" and "female protagonist" though, yeah.
>>2074326
>Claims which they never made, which it's been repeatedly pointed out they never made.
Right, okay then...
>>2074378
I still find it highly suspicious, Syon, but I am willing to give it a pass for now.
>>2074383
Yeah. Read the words right there in the thing you posted.
Is this really so difficult? Is English not your first language?
>>2074392
You don't capture nuance well do you? What's the latter half suppose to mean? He could have just said he's pleased with the game and ruffled no feathers. This is the same dude that thinks HRP is gonna be the best thing ever if you bothered to see their KS campaign before.
>>2074399
>He could have just said he's pleased with the game
That's what he did say. You don't capture nuance well, do you?
(With regard to HRP, I seem to recall them making an ill-advised statement about how they held themselves to Higher Standards Than Other Games, which did cue a few eyerolls. It was a while back, though, so I can't dissect the exact wording or who was responsible for posting it.)
>>2074326
>I didn't like it when everyone turned against the Rising Hope dude and at least then we had some REASON for the torches and pitchforks.
What was the reason for the drama there?
>>2074414
People never letting the past go despite the dev's multiple and costly attempts to make amends. It's an old controversy that is annoying every time it comes up.
>>2074414
He thought it was a good idea to end a yuri vn with the MC getting cucked by a dude.
>>2074446
Is it really cucked if they'd been going out the entire game and the MC is just too stupid to put it together? Faye is cute, but wow is she an idiot. Got a lot better in the remake though.
How bad is the inconsistency in Highway Blossom's art? .
>>2074472
it's a cheap indie game, so if you're a stickler for consistency it will probably bother you.
>>2074383
>it's anons don't grasp the obvious joke episode again
>>2074490
I think the important lesson to learn here is about PR and policing yourself for comments that have a high likelihood of being taken the wrong way.
>>2074446
>Is it really cucked
Yes
>>2074446
I've played both of their games on Steam and have no clue what you are talking about.
>>2074532
The first one, not fates or reborn.
>>2074532
It was much longer ago than them being on Steam and mostly irrelevant by now except that some people will hold a grudge FOREVER whether it makes sense or not.
>>2074533
That wasn't the first one, actually, there was at least one RA game before that. Maybe two. Maybe more. They just weren't yuri-relevant.
>>2074529
It would be a better world if the people who overreact to things like that learned to cope with jokes and opinions. I hope at least that the people with that problem don't really matter though.
>>2074529
Would be nicer if harmless comments just did not get twisted from "I did not like it" and "I think my product will be fairly good" to "X is shit" and "My thing is the best thing ever".
I definitely disagree with their opinion on KS and it makes me slightly more critical of their product but I think the real lesson here is to take anything without a source with a grain of salt.
I've been enjoying Highway Blossoms for the same reason I enjoy Katahane. A road trip, or basically any VN story that doesn't take place in a Japanese high school, is a rarity.
The biggest criticism I have is that the story is at its weakest when it trying to be discount National Treasure. Amber and Marina are cute and some of their interactions are amusing (the part where Marina misunderstood the word dike for instance). The side characters weren't that bad either although their personalities did seem to draw liberally from anime archetypes.
If the story had been just the two leads on the road stopping at various landmarks and gradually getting to know each other, that would have been fine.
>>2074576
Gotta agree with the setting parts. The US isn't my favorite setting since like 80% of non-anime media takes place there already (though something in Hawaii or whatever would be cool), but it's still nice to see a VN setting that isn't school.
>>2074413
The dev just turned 22, the other team members are probably pretty young as well, I wouldn't blame them too much for stupid things they say especially if it was a few years ago.
>>2074378
>Hi I'm one of the devs
Well that explains the butthurt defense posts a bit further up
>>2074530
No. Stop redefining words like a sjw.
They weren't in a relationship so it isn't 'cuckoldry'. You're the same faggot who was whining in the Rabi thread, aren't you?
>>2074777
Anon, I'm your mom.
Go to sleep.
>>2074791
Joke's on you, i just got up.
>>2074777
Pfft. The actual devs are generally way too wussy and eager to be liked. It's the other readers who don't give a shit that will go at you with abandon, because we frankly don't care if both you AND the devs die in a fire.
>>2074853
Sup dev. Nice try.
>>2074856
Jokes on you. I'm the Rising Angels dev.
>>2074859
That's bullshit, but I believe it!
>>2074859
Hi Tao.
>>2075011
>that ear
Anyone really into pure one true love yuri proably isn't going to like Highway Blossoms MC. Also, there are only 2 love scenes in the game, and the second one is likely going to rub some people the wrong way.
>>2075219
having a single fixed relationship in a game still isn't enough for purity fags?
>>2075222
The MC does some annoying shit. She runs on on her love interest for existential reasons and 5 seconds later is thinking about hooking up with some random chick in a lesbian bar, before feeling guilty and deciding not too. She also checks out other girls during the course of the game.
>>2075225
*She runs out on
>>2075219
>the second one is likely going to rub some people the wrong way. It's not rape, is it?
>>2075225
>spoilerI took that more as a reaction to her grief than her being of shit human being.
>>2075227
No,faking an orgasm and lying about how good the sex was, because the love interest is a virgin and not very good yet.
>>2075229
IDK about that, at least partly, it's because she's pretty forward with girls she finds attractive. She admitted to being into the candy story clerk and admitted she would've chatted her up if not already with Marina.
>>2075219
> rub some people the wrong way.
I cannot imagine a single group that likes yuri that wouldn't consider it adorable.
>>2075245
no it's a joke see because she's rubbing the... never mind
>embellished word count
>added flattering tags themselves
>original release didn't even have a gallery
>poor art direction
>forgettable music
>GUI is only bearable in high contrast mode
>original steam desc/system requirements was nothing but jokes
>H patch breaks original save files
>has a 'meme mode' which is supposed to be a reward for completion which adds nothing for replay value other than jokes
>forced drama for the romance thanks to MC
>MC lies and fakes climax during sex
It was the best yuri evn released this year alright, the best at sucking ass.
>>2075305
Forgot to add
>update patch also breaks original save files
>>2075311
Does it actually break them or did they just rename the save directory so you'd have to manually copy them?
>>2075305
i'm guessing you didn't play the thing becauseyou didn't mention how fucking boring it is.
>>2075305
Nice try shill, Steam reviews are 100% positive.
>>2075326
>taking steam reviews as any kind of mark of quality
There is a positive review that just says 'gay grill chases two types of booty'.
>>2075336
Ignoring the outlier, most of the reviews are in depth and point out the VN's strengths and weaknesses in a coherent manner
>>2075336
Random posts on 4chan should be your bible, though.
The story isn't even boring. In fact it would have been better without the treasure hunting plot. Have Marina be going to the same destination (or at least claim to be in she's running away from home) and still have them hit all the landmarks because it's what Amber's grandfather wanted to do. Have it be about them discovering the beauty of nature instead of... You know desecrating Indian ruins.
>>2075305
Another point regarding the visuals is that their absolute worst CG is one that is used constantly in the VN. In the image of the two girls in the front seat of the motorhome, they have large necks, tiny hands, misaligned eyes and bad proportions all around.
>>2075326
Wouldn't a shill try to sell the thing rather than prevent people from buying it?
>>2075331
>pointing out a games flaws means I have a hateboner for it
Never been on /v/, huh?
Go ahead, it's your money to waste.
Sooo... any torrent of Highway Blossoms yet? I'm broke as fuck after purchasing the Kindred Spirits hardcopy, but I want to play the game.
>>2075305
Reminder when people say "forced drama" what they really mean.
High Way Blossoms is terrible.
Off topic, but is Harvest Moon: Pure Love worth a playthrough? Love me some farming sims.
>>2075366
Okay, we get that you hate the game. We can all agree it has flaws but I've never seen anyone attack an VN with such fervor
As for the question, just forget Harvest Moon exists and play Stardew Valley. HM will never add same sex relations
Actually there was a polygon article how Story of Seasons will add same sex relations. They are aware of Stardew Valley but not the reason why.
>>2075374
>I've never seen anyone attack an VN with such fervor
You haven't been here long. I can think of a couple of games/u/ has hated on harder.
>>2075376
Forgot to mention "sometime in the future".
>>2075362
How would YOU call drama for the sake of drama, or drama to write that off the checklist, then?
>>2075380
Say you didn't enjoy the drama or you thought it was poorly done and maybe explain why. You will sound less likely to be an idiot.
>>2075379
Actually I was there from the beginning of Rising Angels and followed t long enough yo know it began as an otome game with a couple of girl routes and the dev's biggest mistake was releasing it as a yuri game in its state.
He also was under the impression that a cast full of assholes would go over well
>>2075386
It was always a yuri game, it had otome routes in the original though. Every character had a route. If you want to get really historical, it was originally an RPG where you had to fight off terrible corrupting spirits that were killing off cadets. The original game was an awesome adventure that became a slice of life story.
>>2075351
I was under the assumption that the posts were the same person (sorry if incorrect).
The posts' content lead me to believe there was a hateboner for the dev, considering some of the "negative" points were just "didn't fill in steam page properly" and "forced drama" and obvious attempts to use pretty bland tweets to vilify him/her/them.
Also
>attempting to use /v/ as a standard for anything
>>2075389
Didn't realize it went back that far. Isn't it actually some /tg/ setting the creator used and eventually turned into VNs?
Either way the point stands that he could have presented it differently so as to not alienate his intended audience. Hope did redeem it for me, but I'm not sure how many people played it, even though it's free.
>>2075374
>I've never seen anyone attack an VN with such fervor
it's probably worth noting amatuer OELVN weren't a common thing to discuss until very recently.
>>2075417
It was a series of novels before it made the jump, which is what led to his shit decision. Apparently, the novels had Sol and Lenna being this on-again/off-again couple, so Faye x Lenna was a doomed dream if he stuck to the canon. A smart person would have stepped back and considered another character for the original's romance, but he wanted to keep Lenna, the novel's protagonist, front and center.
He thought he was doing the series right by keeping his canon and it rightfully exploded in his face. To be fair, we got Zuri out of the aftermath, so you have to take the good with the bad.
hay /u/
I finished the "real" ending of Embric of Wulfhammer Castle, thought it didn't answer many questions for me and raised a few new ones. What was it all about? Was it all a dream? Did any of it really happen? What is Alice's true name? How do get the Dark Duchess ending, as the soldier near the snowcastle never shows up?
So many question I hope to get answered, as the epilogue didn't really give me much closure.
Thanks in advance.
>>2075384
The drama was poorly done, because the motivation for it made little sense. How is getting a girlfriend and being happy going to dishonor her grandpa's memory? And she never tried to talk to Marina at all about it, so it came across as the writers just trying to drag the angst out longer than necessary.
>>2075480
See, you can do it without resorting to /a/ buzzwords.
>>2075470yeah it's all a delusion in her mind and none of it actually happened, she was just stuck in the castle as an incest rape prisoner. pretty dumb story move typical of creators trying to be edgy.from what i remember alice is embric, but embric is changed to a dude in her delution, but is actually the maid in reality.
>>2075487
What aboutthe epilogue?
>>2075480
I still haven't finished it (I think I'm probably at least 3/4 through, though) but Amber was raised by her grandpa, had a better relationship with him than her actual parents (sound like she doesn't even know her dad) and from the sound of it went through a lot of grief in the end, possibly even blaming herself for his death, possibly leading her to think she doesn't deserve to be happy, though as mentioned before the story doesn't communicate that well.
>>2075487
>incest rape
So we can make up what happens in games now?
>>2075547
theuncleending isn't the true end? where is the true end?
>>2075527
As someone who has played through the game, Amberpretty much flat out says all of that only for Mariah to immediately tell her she's a fucking moron.
>>2075527
The way she treated Marina so poorly during her breakdown didn't help my opinion of her character. She insulted her majorly when the RV broke down and just ran off on her soon after. Marina just up and taking her back so easily just didn't go over well for me.
>>2075684
Marina is in love with Amber, clearly doesn't want to lose her and alsoit's fiction.
Pretty sure that update destroyed me getting the achievements, because I haven't been able to get any ever since that update
>>2075764
Sasuga, HB devs
>>2075768
Honestly, the devs didn't think this one through. I mean, it's not a bad game, but it's very weak with it being a Kinetic Novel and all.
Personally I'd have loved to hatefuck Mariah and then end with Marina and Mariah fucking Amber.
>>2075788
Mariah was without a doubt the best girl of the cast. Especially when she was smacking sense into Amber.
Being a KN did not do it any favors. For instance, why make it so you can re-read journal entries unless the player originally had some input in what path they took instead of Amber magically always knowing where to go.
>>2075793
Agreed, Mariah was the best, as well as being the best looking out of the three. I'd have given it a 10/10 if Amber fucked Mariah when they were drunk.
>why make it so you can re-read journal entries unless the player originally had some input in what path they took instead of Amber magically always knowing where to go.
Agreed, no one was going to go out of their way to re-read them, frankly I found it hard to even read it playing the story.
Also, the jokes were poor and full of dated memes, there was only one line that made me burst out laughing and it was pic related.
>>2075797
>Also, the jokes were poor and full of dated memes
I'm still in the process of reading (just got to the first sex scene) but I don't remember any memes except for the achievement names.
>>2075809
You playing through it the first time? Yeah the memes come when you unlock the Goofball edition.
>>2075811
Well then who fucking gives a shit?
>>2075813
If I want comedy, I want well written comedy.
What would /u/ do to improve Highway Blossoms? Aside from everything that's already been contributed, of course.
I wanted to like Highway Blossoms, I really did, and I'd like to hear ideas.
>>2075871
I'd make the best girl a romance option.
>>2075871
I would start by not asking 4chan for advice.
>>2075871
>romance options
>threesome ending
>make Amber a likeable character
>remove the goofball option
>make it so we're the ones finding the treasure, not have Amber magically know where it is
>have Amber get dominated more
>improve some of the art
>better music
>make the save files not crash after every update
>not make the H scenes optional
>making the H scenes better
I can go on.
>>2075547
Do tell, anon beloved, what is the true end? Is itthe end where the awesome fellowship saves you and you puke all over Fal and all you get is text over a black screen and then where you enter the castle Wulfhammer again now a redhead and get super emotional when you see Alice again? In case the answer is yes, I have that ending. I do lack the Bunny, human arachnid and Iron Duchess+ endings.
>>2076004
IIRC true end wasthat everything Duchess saw was some kind of premonition.I could be remembering it wrong though, since it's been years I played it.
>>2076042
Sounds about the same to me.

I wish real ending included marryingAlice___________________, as she truly is the one that loved the Duchess the most.
What still confuses me is thequiz. What exactly happens when you lose your memories when you answer a question wrong?
>>2075550
It becomes obvious in game. It's hinted at in several arcs. Not really a spoiler that she was abused by her uncle.

Imagine: rich oujou-sama is in the hospital for the nth time missing fun high school life because of her illness. Having no friends, she reaches out those who have similar hobbies as her in the internet and finds comfort for being among her comrades forgetting her worries even for just a bit. Grateful for all this she decides to gift yuri games to those who can't buy their own.
Sakura Space confirmed yuri.
Wonder how long they can go without pandering to hetfags.
>>2076577
For awhile guess after kindred spirits they see the Yuri market has a decent base
>>2076594
They'd already released their own yuri title before KS and dropped it, though
>>2076577
>>Cherryblossom in space will be a lily
Shit's getting weird.
>>2076577
The thing is I would love to play a fluffy yuri space romp but I don't trust them to be able to write a plot even as simple as 'i like rayguns and boobs'
>>2076598
Not with this frequency and certainly not directly after they already made a Yuri game, usually its several het games after that
>>2076614
what i mean is they already have their own data on how their customer base reacts to yuri
>>2076577
Does anyone know how Sakura Dungeon did?
Ipiratedit and am pretty lukewarm on it. The gameplay is so fucking grindy and not very fun at all, and while most story scenes are cute enough, the actual porn is really weak. I mean the art quality is fine, but the scenes are extremely generic and EXTREMELY short. Plus too many dildos everywhere, which is both not my fetish and contributes to my generic point above.
>>2076577
Fuck yes. I wonder if they'll include the space foxes from Dungeon.
Also, I sure hope they learn more breast sizes. All the girls in Dungeon have more or less the same, and I would love more variety.
>>2076606
You generally know what you're getting when you buy a Winged Cloud title. They could use some better communication pre-release but they've addressed that.
>>2076606
>'i like rayguns and boobs'
Who doesn't?
Not even they can screw that up.
>>2076619
By the standards of any EVN yuri dev in here struggling to bring you girls with plots, Sakura Dungeon is a huge success making money hand over fist.
I don't know how it compares to WC's own expectations and costs though.
>>2076631
Hopefully we can keep them in the Yuri camp with good sales.
>>2076577
Considering the just-released Sakura Shrine Girls trailer was composed of two girls and nothing but solo shots, probably not long.
>>2076637
Well, the art is by Inma but she also did Beach and Christmas so judging what it will be based on the artist is a bust. Her DA page says she'll draw yuri, yaoi, and hetero but just no explicit sex.
>>2076577
Yes, but will it be something other than a Visual Novel?
>>2076621
Y'know, I would've liked the Foxgirls From Outer Space a heck of a lot more if the Shrine levels from the dungeon (and some of the Castle floors) weren't already crawling with foxgirls. Plus the main character being a foxgirl, too.
Foxgirls are kind of overrepresented in Sakura Dungeon is what I'm saying.
>>2076635
You would rather have more Sakura and less story?
>>2076641
>Her DA page says she'll draw yuri, yaoi, and hetero but just no explicit sex.
Guess it doesn't count as sex if it's only girls :^)
>>2076651
Think of it as her not liking to draw dicks
>>2076631
I imagine with all that Patreon income they can make just about anything they want to within reason so long as the backers are happy, and at least from the comments sections I do t see anyone complaining about the yuri.
>>2076577
Captain Marika?
>>2076662
I could support a Bodacious Space Pirates ripoff if that's what they're going for.
>>2076666
Looks more like Neptunia with the bodysuits and D-pad hairclips
>>2076468
I'm enjoying it so far.
I don't expect overt yuri though
>>2076468
Jill is bisexual but in the latter half of the gameit focuses quite heavily on herand the crush on her Boss is quite obvious anddeadex-girlfriendthe ending I saw had them go off travelling together, although as friends..
There's side characters that have some chemistry - although I've not got any of the NG+ endings so I'm not sure if a character specific ending would do more.
>>2076749
That art style is vaguely familiar.
>>2076756
>NG+ endings
>>2076769
When you beat the game and load the newly made save,Anna pops up and explains there are 6 endings and vague hints as to them.
Maybe it's not limited to NG+, but I don't think you'd know where to focus without the hints.
Pic related from /v/, the first one in particular might be of interest?
>>2076776
I guess the endings rely on "give the right drink to the right person" more than being a ng + thing alsothe achievements tells you what to do in a really vague way
So I just finished my first run of Highway Blossoms and didn't know there was an patch for the h scenes until after the fact. I know where the first one is, but where is the second one that was mentioned here?
>>2076929
It'sthe scene after they make up and get back together.

>>2076933
Thanks. Just viewed it and it looks like they cut out all the pre-post coital dialogue since it was no longer relevant to the plot.
Oh look a yuri fanart for Nier Automata.
Anyone here looking forward to the game?
>>2077183
God no. They introduced shota faggotry.
>>2077192
I'm praying that they won't go anywhere with the shota.
>>2077216
It's Yoko. D3 was absolutely vomit inducing.
>>2077192
Aren't they all emotionless robots?
>>2077276
Also this. You can spend night with her.
>>2077219
Yeah this. I mean D3 was a game about a lady killing her 'sisters' and it literally just shoehorned in a male fucktoy - literally - for each sister (and the MC once she beat said sisters) for no actual reason, not even thematic ones or anything much less plot. There's also been not as much as a single moment of subtext I can think of in any of Yoko's games, certainly not anything substantial enough to be memorable. There's a 0% chance it'll be gay in my mind, and while I'm happy to be proven wrong trying to claim the outlook as anything other than bleaker than the fucking north pole is delusional.
Synopsis for Razz's upcoming game
>The story follows Iris, a girl who learns that her younger sister is transferring to her school, and will be living with her for the rest of the semester. Even though she has never met her sister before, Iris is determined to make up for lost time by becoming friends, and more importantly, to show off her dependable nature as the older sister of the household.
>Unfortunately for Iris, however, things don't go as planned.
>Zoey, Iris's younger sister, is a tall young woman who isn’t afraid to ditch class and badmouth others. Zoey shows little respect for authority, especially when it comes to her "older sister's" attempts to play nice. And if things couldn't get any worse, a confusing sexual tension blooms between them...
>Your choices will determine the direction the story takes, with several different endings available. Will you choose to foster these budding feelings of forbidden romance? Or will you seek nothing more than friendship from your long-lost sister?
>>2077316
More source??? I can't google fu it. Yes Love RIbbon, I know. I just wanna see more about it.
I thought that Razz is making Catch Canvas or is this another one?
>>2077316
>The black haired girl's neck it too thin
>GuitahGiraffe
Fuck. I can't unsee.
I hope it's just the thumbnail or... the hair covering parts of it. The placement is bugging me out.
>>2077351
That's Catch Canvas
>>2077353
Oh okay, thank you for clarification.
>>2077351
Catch Canvas, you choose your gender aka faceless mc.
>>2077357
I'm glad they decided to have an entire yuri game separate from that. It's nice of them to include the feMC regardless.
>>2077314
>Will you choose to foster these budding feelings of forbidden romance? Or will you seek nothing more than friendship from your long-lost sister?
This will surely be the hardest decision of my life.

It even has giraffe necks. It's perfect.
>>2077373
I don't see giraffe necks desu. It's just hair obscuring.
>>2077375
"Giraffe necks" means "long necks", not "thin necks".
>>2077376
I dunno, they don't appear long either.
>>2077337
I think Razz is just doing the art for CC
>>2077381
And I at least am not a fan of the different artstyle in CC. Not that SV was perfect, but at least any art issues there stemmed more from mistakes than the actual style. So in that way I'm not too sad about CC sounding like the most boring generic stuff.
The art here looks more promising to me.
>>2077376
Then they have Brontosaur necks?
>>2077383
I enjoyed SV and most likely I will get this one too, but I think I'll pass on CC.
>>2076123
>>2076468
wait a minute...
>>2077339
It will more than likely be. Part of SV's problem was how long it was in development. Razz's artstyle changed and the previous assets weren't redone to match.
>>2077421
Hopefully this one comes out in a more timely manner. Is there any kind of ETA on it?

>>2077421
I think the stretch goals was the reason Razz's schedule was sent to hell.
If this new game is also a Kickstarter thing with more stretch goals (what would these be in this case?) we can expect it again.
>>2077316
Aww whenever a great sounding game comes out it doesn't have an art style i like. Oh well im sure this will be great to play through though.
>>2077585
Why? They didn't bother adding much with the stretch goals. The game was in development hell for years and years before the kickstarter ever came along

That means multiple routes for multiple girls right? Right?!
>>2077761
They're not really separate endings, really. They're like epilogues.
>>2077409
Yeah. There's also a thread about some anon trying to confess to her best friend. Not sure if it develops any further later in the game.
>>2076123

nice. For some reason I thought the whole Venezuelan economic collapse thing had ended this project.
>>2077766
I seriously don't know if I even want something /u/ from Yoto Taro, considering how fucked up his stories end up becoming.
Steam Summer Sale has started, so various games are now on discount (not all discounts are big though)
Of the most recent games, Highway Blossoms and A Little Lily Princess are still at 15% off, Starlight Vega and Kindred Spirits are 20% off, Rabi Ribi is 25% off.
Bigger discounts:
Black Closet 40%
Rising Angels Hope 50%
Atom Grrl 50%
Strawberry Vinegar 50%
Reject Demon Toko 60%
Sakura Fantasy 70%
Asphyxia 75%
>>2078101
Any of them need external ecchi patch? I know Sakura Fantasy does.
>>2078105
Atom Grrl.
Planet Stronghold: Colonial Defense is 15% off, is it worth it? I liked previous Planet Stronghold, but this one seems a bit iffy.
>>2077766
I thought Berseria had Nier Automata's problem as it has a shota as well? Also Tales can't do romance to save its life. Milla was yuri as fuck and they tried to pair her with het fag Jude.
>>2078109
The general word I hear is that the gameplay is good and the art is awful. I don't hear a lot about the writing. It got a free update adding more /u/ romances though so you might just want to try the demo and see.
>>2078116
Yeah, shota shit.
Man why are people Mugino-tier when it comes to expectations in games here?
>>2078101
The Neptunia games are all on sale for 70-85% off too
Is the 2nd tomb raider as gay as the first?
>>2078140
I believe Sam does not like Lara as much as she did in the first one, not nearly as gay.
>>2078140
It's not gay at all. Sam isn't there.
>>2078116
>>2078135
Berseria will at least be goggleable given the presence of at least two other female characters in the party. The shota's relationship with Velvet looks to be of a kid brother or surrogate child for her ala Hope and Lightning. It also doesn't look likely that Velvet will be in a relationship with one of the dudes, and general impressions make it sound like the game's party will be a platonic One Piece style "Nakama 4life" dynamic (it helps that not every Tales lead has been paired with the opposite sex).
TL;DR probably won't be outright /u/, but likely won't be outright hetshit either.
>>2078122
Can't say for Tales but it could be that the lingering yearning from Drakengard 3's squandered yuri potential resurfaced itself for Nier Automata.
>>2078154
>it helps that not every Tales lead has been paired with the opposite sex
This. Tales has generally been good for yaoibait. At least with recent games.
>>2078167
that's because tales isfujoshit.
>>2078169
Well, this fujoshit has one of my favorite pairings and Yuri (Lowell), so it's cool with me. Only played Vesperia desu.
>>2078101
>Kindred Spirits are 20% off
It's also on sale on Mangagamer's website, though it's 2eur more. I'd still rather buy from them, because >nodrm. Do they still add steam version too?
>>2078172
They removed the steam version from their site because of chargebacks during release. I don't think they ever came back.
>>2078172
Unfortunately fraud rates are too high. They lost their ability to process sales at all for a while there because of assholes scamming copies to resell on those shitty "discount key" sites.
I *think* you may be able to get Steam keys if you buy hard copies but I am not sure so definitely verify before purchasing if you go that way.
>>2078187
The limited edition has both DRM-free and a Steam key but it costs $57 with shipping. I haven't decided if I want to spend nearly twice as much on it just to have a nice looking yuri box.
>>2078189
I'm pretty sure Steam version is DRM-free, as in you can backup the game files and play it somewhere else if you wish without Steam client.
>>2078197
It is. In fact there is a bug that makes some people (including me) unable to play the game through steam at all. It starts to lag horribly after like 20 minutes or so. They never fixed that/found the error I think, and it's there for all Liar-Soft stuff.
>>2078203
Liar-soft uses an ancient, crappy engine, so it's issues aren't surprising.
>>2078189
Most of MangaGamer's catalog is DRM-free on their site. That includes Kindred Spirits.
>>2078101
>Black Closet
Is this good? I'm a little skeptical about the generated mysteries.
>>2078236
Try the demo?
Not everything is randomly generated, there's plenty of real story content too. If you set the difficulty to the easiest level you get less of the random mysteries.
>>2078226

Shit, I've wanted Rabi Ribi for ages, but I also just found out they're releasing it on Vita.

>>2078295
http://store.steampowered.com/app/351640/
>>2078302
That's the one thank you
>>2078154
It's a Tales of game. She won't have a romantic relationship with the shota at all. This is not that kind of series.
And the two male characters look random as hell. I don't know if I'm biased, but it looks like they aren't even promoting them right.
Now, a thing to note is that both girls in the party hate Velvet at the start of the game. It's a Tales of game, so that will likely change until the end. That means we will see lots of skits with them becoming closer each time. Maybe even some cute scenes.
It might not go /u/, but the interaction between them could be interesting.
>>2078352
That tales of vesperia really tripped me out when i found out that the guy named yuri is in fact a guy, and that there is no yuri. I mean, why make a guy look so much like a female? I just dont get the Japanese sometimes.
>>2078355
Isn't Ristele a thing in Vesperia?
Haven't played any Tales, but I remember seeing a youtube video about it

Huh, for once a comment on youtube is true. I don't know what to do with my life anymore.
>>2078165
>Drakengard 3's squandered yuri potential
I guess that's kind of anon's point: Drakengard 3 didn't squandered its yuri potential because it had none to begin with. That game promised /u/s nothing and delivered exactly that. Its so-called yuri potential only ever existed in the heads of anons who saw a female protagonist with other female characters in the main cast and jumped to conclusions.
>>2078639
I squandered this post's yuri potential.
>>2078639
>anons who saw a female protagonist with other female characters in the main cast and jumped to conclusions.
That's me.
>>2078639
I see what you mean and generally agree.
However while the exclusion of het would hardly imply yuri (although it's worth noting that best girl is totally shippable with the MC even if there's nothing canon at all there), that game had the dumbest and most pointlessly included main cast in any game I've ever seen.Seriously, it seemed like the only reason they were there - well, in-story reason that is, I'm 99% sure the ACtUAL reason was they wanted a crude game with sex and had to figure out a way to get some guys in to do that - is the MC had a past being forced into prostitution and therefore the manifestations of her subconscious psyche needed boytoys for some reason? It's so fucking retarded. When you get her backstory she doesn't even seem to give much of a shit about her time as a whore, either in the trauma way or the loving sex kind of way. It's just a random bullet-point. So the one actual chance they had to justify sexing up the game and it's just completely whiffed, making it instead come off as even dumber than normal. The fact that the dudes are just birds make it even shittier since that removes any mundane 'well it wasn't necessarily some thematic thing, the sisters just happened to fancy them' explanation too.
>>2077183
I'd be looking forward to it no matter what, but yeah, the shota kid can go fuck himself, nothing will stop me from shipping A2 and 2B
>>2078145
Yeah. Because Sam is in a fucking prison possessed by a bloodthirsty spirit of her ancient ancestor while Lara went on a merry adventure by herself.
>>2078705
Fucking Square Enix...
>>2078723
Square Enix is just a publisher in this case, friend. I mean, they're still pretty shit, but for a completely different reason.
>>2078621Man Rita's Japanese voice is awful.
>>2078855
Yeah, I honestly prefer the "You idiot!" over baka. Has more impact that way.
What's the game length of Starlight Vega and A Little Lily Princess?
>>2078977
Starlight Vega is about 4-5 hours to full completion, assuming a fast reading speed. A Little Lily Princess is a bit longer but not a whole lot, probably in the 6-8 range.
Many people read a lot slower than that though so i'm sure someone else will give you different numbers.
>>2078977
I got 10 hours on A Little Lily Princess.
>>2078977
Pretty nice time on it.
Thanks again to the anon who gave free yuri games.
>>2078789
Fucking Crystal Dynamics then. Holy shit they're still around.
But SE still has a say whether to publish a title or not, if they don't like it, so I'll just hate them for liking TR without Sam enough to publish it.
Though I wouldn't be surprised if Tomb Raider as an ip belonged to them.
>>2079014
They can't refuse a game just because Sam is not in it, that would be silly. Although I suppose they did have a say in the development process, seeing as Eidos Montreal supposedly co-developed it with Crystal Dynamics.
Either way, from what I've heard somewhere with no citable source, Sam is coming back. At least in the comics.
>Though I wouldn't be surprised if Tomb Raider as an ip belonged to them
It does belong to them, at least partially. I'm not exactly sure how relationships between publishers and developers work, but I know that, at the very least, developers aren't allowed to just grab the games that were already published by company X and fuck off to the company Y or publish them themselves.
>>2079014
Sam's not the only one who didn't come back, though. The whole point of the game is Lara learning to stand on her own., without relying on others for support and guidance. Yes, it's disappointing that Sam doesn't have more of a role, but it's not like she was forgotten or specifically written out.
>>2076123
For a game made by literal whos, it's surprisingly enjoyable. Makes me wish games about bartenders/store clerks/other regular people in unusual settings weren't such a niche.
Cygames must really like yuri their new game shadowverse has blatantly obvious lesbians Erika and arisa
Steam sale has been pretty trash but if you want to help support devs you like while getting a free game and costing me a little less then hit me up at yurigamesfree on steam.
>>2079117

>>2079117
have you tried on the dynasty forums or somewhere like reddit /r/yuri?
>>2079145I dont really browse those so /u/ gets first serving, also im not looking to be homeless
>>2079020
Crystal Dynamics is their internal development studio, as they bought the whole Eidos a while back. So yes, the Tomb Raider IP belongs to Square Enix as of now.
>>2079026
>The whole point of the game is Lara learning to stand on her own., without relying on others for support and guidance.
But the way the comics left it, Sam was the one who needed help.
Hell in the entirety of comics, Sam was the one who always needed help.
Anyway I remember Rhianna Pratchet saying on her Twitter in reply to someone that she was specifically asked by Crystal Dynamics to put the characters in positions they are at the start of the new game - as in she was specifically told to write Sam out of the story at least as far as this game is concerned, so I'd say one is justified in saying fuck Crystal Dynamics.
And fuck Square Enix too for almost killing the franchise with their retarded exclusivity deals. I hope the next game doesn't suffer too much for this.
>>2079190
>And fuck Square Enix too for almost killing the franchise with their retarded exclusivity deals.
Reminder that they thought Tomb Raider 2013 was a failure due to "low" sales. And then they went and made RoTR a timed exclusive.
Great decision making.
>>2079190
>she was specifically told to write Sam out of the story at least as far as this game is concerned
I mean, there probably were less retarded ways to do it. Ones that didn't make Lara seem like a shit friend for leaving Sam in prison and going on an adventure by herself.
>>2079020
If SE owns CD, I imagine they have executive decisions.
>>2079026
>Sam's not the only one who didn't come back

That's not what happened, though. You find an audiolog that shows it was Sam's doctors ordering Lara to stay away in order to not impede her recovery. And the implication that said doctors were acting on behalf of Trinity.
>>2079300
>And it's been confirmed that you can pair any and all female characters together.
Nice desu.
There's going to be a new game near the end of July on DMM, which features female couples:
http://rejetweb.jp/icchibanketu/?from=lower
Supposedly it's a SLG, where you give birth to new children/characters by pairing two character together. And it's been confirmed that you can pair female characters together as well, though no word on whether you can freely make your own pairing or its according to a predetermined pairing. Source from this site: http://yurige.blog107.fc2.com/blog-entry-6393.html and they also source where they got the information from.
For now, it seems like there are more male characters than females, but what's listed so far is not extensive, and there are more characters who will make it into the initial release.
>>2079302

Is this game good and are the yuri romances good as well?
I'm a bit cautious with Winter Wolves as I liked Loren but really didn't go for Tales of Aravorn.
Could we make a specific list with RPG maker games, there seems to be a lot of those in the subtext part at least I'll list some that I remember
Amayado Bus stop - strong subtext
Misao girl route - strong subtext
The g(r)ay garden - MC is gay, actually a lot of people are gay
Hand in hand - never played it because it came off as a malware in my computer, but it looks definetly yuri
Embric of Wulfhammer castle - this must be an /u/ classic at this point
Also there was one game wich I forgot the name about a girl that gets trapped in a dream aquarium(no not that one horror VN) it had some cute girl/girl relationship but not really in a yuri way

Do you even horror. Also, I vaguely remember there being a... fanmade ending or something.
almost time for a new thread. any news that needs a shoutout other than the summer sale? does >>2079303 have a title?
>>2079806
>not wanting to get Mary as your imouto
a-anon
>>2079820
>wanting to get Mary as your imouto
Hope you like getting stabbed.
>>2079823
She would never do that. She's just happy to be free and to finally be with Ib..
>>2079797
Well the girls relationship isn't really the focus of the game but if you want to be really specific I guess we could call it a light subtext
>>2076438
Nah mate, Jill is totally after Dana.
Quite a few hints of other /u/ stuff in there too, from what I've seen at the end of day 5. Wonder if Stella & Sei are a gonna be a thing later on.
>>2079047
I'm really enjoying it, the dialogues's good and surprisingly funny. I wasn't expecting to laugh anywhere near as much as I have done.
Since Steam have massive sales, do i need to play Sakura Spirit and Sakura Angels first before playing Sakura Fantasy?
>>2080131
No, the Sakura games are completely unrelated. It's a brand, not a series
>>2080131
Only Fantasy and Dungeon are yuri, but don't go in expecting actual romances or relationships.
I ended up spending the entire evening reading Highway Blossoms and stopped to sleep after the admittedly intimate sex scene between Amber and Marian. I wasn't gunning for the secks, but it was a nice reward after watching/reading the pair's developing relationship. I gave the VN big points for pacing because I kept on reading.
With that said (and I may sound I'm being hypocritical here), since there's no options to change routes, Amber will not romance Mariah, huh? And I hope there's one more intimate scene because I highly doubt one scene is worth 15 MB.
>>2080178
There's two total afaik
>>2080180
That's very reassuring to hear. That means I'm gonna spend another evening reading HB.
>>2073846
steam sale, obviously, which one do I get.
a little lily princess or highway blossom? I need Yuri, not subtext. witch one will leave me most satisfied.
>>2080187
A Little Lily Princess is more subtext-y even though there are romantic endings. Highway Blossom might be more explicit (haven't read it myself). It's a Kinetic Novel though, so no gameplay. Personally, I enjoyed A Little Lily Princess a lot.
>>2080187
ALLP is more subtexty. Some of the routes are clearly romantic, but you're still not going to get anything more than a kiss, whereas HB has H-scenes in it and is more overt about being girlfriends and what that means for their futures.
HB doesn't give you any choices though, so if you don't like the fixed couple you're stuck.
What was that one erotic metroidvania type game that the author had a lesbian mode planned for it?
I know it's not Rabi Ribi, since, well, I already have that (and beat it). I took a look in the pastebin but I couldn't find it. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.
I think it's got a witch as its protagonist or a main character or something.
>>2080187
A let's play of HB will net you the same experience unless you feel two CGs of girls in their undies is worth $9. Lily Princess is good.
>>2080181
The second sex scene involves lying and deception.
How long is Kinderd spirits on the roof?
>>2080241
I for one don't mind it as long as it is girl x girl.
can anyone post the 18+ cgs for highway blossoms?
>>2080244
Kindred is about 30 hours.
That's how long it took me.
>enjoying Highway Blossoms
>all of a sudden, it goes full melodrama
Every time.
>>2080258
>melodrama
let me guess
is it because they both happen to have a vagine?
>>2080263Amber fucks Marina after getting extremely emotional over her dead grandpa. Next morning she realizes she may have used her, so she gets mad at herself, the van breaks down, and Amber breaks up with her while ordering a bus ticket home with the treasure. She then goes off on her own to sulk, leaving Marina in tears.Mariah gives her the usual speech calling her an idiot, and she drives her back to her where they have their loving reunion and apology.
>>2080266
damn marina why would you take amber back
she's really not the catch you think she is
Finished Highway Blossoms and unlocked meme mode. Overall it's not bad. I thought the melodrama was a bit much but I did like the sweetness of Ambermoving on from her dead Grandpa due to true love.
I feel like the game could have benefited from making choices in regards to finding the treasure, though. As it stood the journal and everything was pretty pointless.

HB
It definitely could've been more sexy and lewd (in a good way)>Unexperienced girl asked the experienced girl what to do>Experienced girl proclaimed "Lick my pussy", Unexperienced girl shyly to proceed to lick>Experienced girl thought to herself "This girl doesn't her way around downtown">Faked orgasm instead of teaching the inexperienced girl the proper way to lickIt seemed like such a missed opportunity. If there was 1 more proper h scene, I'd be fine. But this H scene left a sour taste in my mouth

Doesn't bother me becausethey're going to be fucking like rabbits constantly for the foreseeable future.

Practice is a waste of time if you don't have proper feedback.
HB is good though.

Name is exactly the same as the link, Icchibanketsu.
low-effort new thread:
>>2080511
>>2080244
It took me like 11 hours, a bit of idle time in there, but I skip voices and the text comes out instantly for me. I'm a very fast reader.
>>2079742
There's also Luxaren Allure. It's as yuri as it gets.
