This episode didn't have a lot of yuri, but Shiro had plenty of cute moments.
The good news isHarekaze mostly cleared of suspicion
The bad news isthe plot just went full Resident Evil
An enjoyable honeymoon, no doubt
The agony of choosing who to ship Shiro with
>>2042020
>This episode didn't have a lot of yuri
It had none.
>>2042020
I really like the small Kuro and Shiro interactions
I don't know how to feel about this demon hamster plot.
I was kinda looking forward to some war-time politics and actual mutinies.
>>2042025
can I hope she in love for Shiro-cute ?
>>2037266
there is a drama cd? where?
>>2042025
She indeed has a lot of potential, yeah?
Although I'm still looking forward to Akeno's harem.
Seeing how many times had she spaced-out thinking about the Musashi (Moeka) though, I think the childhood friend route is strong in this one.
>>2042032
It had Mei and Tama becoming explosion buddies.
>you were possessed by a demon of fiery wrath and destruction?
>man, I am so wet right now
So,
Mike x Moka
Mii x Shiro
Maron x Kuro
Mei x Tama
Thoughts?
>>2042247
I rather stay with the safe tsunderexMC.
There is something about Moka that just tells me 'no'.
>>2042249
If the theory that Wilhelmina also has a well-known parent is true and that's why she reacted the way she did, I think there are too many connections for it to not be a clear-cut Mii/Shiro pairing.
>>2042249
Mike is clearly still thinking about Moka more than anything in episode 4.
>>2042025
What is she trying to do with the hat?
>>2042023
Damn how many girls want to jump on this turbo? She seems to have a different girl crushing on her every episode.
>>2042266
That's not a good flag.
>>2042275
She is pretty based to be honest, only second to Mei. I'd like to imagine she has a loving girlfriend waiting for her back at home and now she just has to put up with everyone lusting after her.
Man. The translator took the lazy way out of explaining "washi" as a pronoun and highlighted "Euros" instead.
>>2042569
I thought there was something fishy about the translation there...
Man, I need to figure out how to do video editing/superimposing notes to do explanations like that, or how the engine telegraph works.
>>2042578
I haven't seen TL notes in ages.
>>2042588
Right? And they're pretty useful. Been watching old Azumanga Daioh subs which had them and they're one of the best parts of this particular subbing. Especially something that's basically just making fun of high school culture.
But yeah, doing GuP or KanColle with notes explaining historical references or someone explaining the signal flags in the last episode of HaiFuri.
>defending TL notes
>>>/out/
>>2042642
A lot of them are pretty shitty, but used correctly to explain they can be good.
>>2042717
Euros though...
>>2042642
>Wah, don't make me learn something of the culture whose product I'm consuming, just make it transliterate it to hell so it will seem like it's Western
I wonder how you people would react if they ditched Japanese names and subs started labeling girls Jennifer, Patricia, etc.
>>2042720
That what I said "should have done" instead of "did". CR's translators are incompetent as fuck.
>>2042717
To be fair, a lot of Japanese joke are very hard
(If not to say impossible) to translate clearly into English. It is a consistent problem with translating two languages whose origins are different.
Of course if you can do it yourself, then please do it. Not everyone is top-notch translator after all.
>>2042765
Yeah. "euros" was terrible and odd, but I honestly wouldn't know how to pull "washi" off either.
Just throw in some old english word and you got the job done. That wasn't hard. CR translators are just lazy.
>>2042775
That's why translation is an art and not a technical skill.
Learning a language is a pretty easy thing to pull off, you just need dedication and time. Translating something requieres a lot more than just knowing the source and target languages, you need writing skills and cultural awareness on both cultures. It's a really hard thing to do right.
About >>2042777 I think this anon here >>2042785 has the right idea.
>>2042813
I feel like this could have been done better with a dub, but I think part of the reason people use subs is to get the original language, you know?
>>2043132
For me, at least, that's not the case. I don't give a flying shit about Japanese or Japanese culture or whatever. I prefer subs simply because I loathe dubbing.
>>2043138
That's also true, most dubs tend to try too hard to get the cutesy Japanese voice sound down.... and it doesn't work. And let's face it, no one can scream like a Nip.
>>2043141
They sometimes try to localize way too much too. Like changing the references "famous whatever comedian" to "famous local comedian" and usually fail miserably at it.
Localization is necessary, though. In the Spanish version of the Sailor Moon manga you can see a perfect example of why. They botched a line that went "Casablanca means white house in Spanish" because they didn't localize it. The line in the manga went published as "Casablanca significa (means) Casa Blanca en (in) Español (Spanish)." Which is freaking stupid.
>>2043149
Coming from a family of linguists, my favorite thing about good dubs is how they'll change accents to fit stereotypes.
just wanna make sure
girl or dick?
>>2043458
Girl thats Mashiro's other older sister
>Resident Evil

I'm not going to say Lesbian Sailors because that would be an oxymoron.
>>2043462
Tautology.
>>2043460
When did she even mention more than one sister?
>>2043462
>Zombies v Lesbians
Isn't that Onechanbara?
>>2043621
Are you retarded? Were you not listening when she called their mom? She called Mashimo "Mashimo-nee"
>>2043154
That's my favorite thing about dubs too.
When Japanese do foreign characters it's either fluent nihonese, hilariously broken english, or just the one phrase from the character's country of origin. It comes across as not really respecting the origin of the character they're trying to depict. Christ's sake they got Nao Touyama, a voice actress known for her english speaking skills to voice an Italian character,. Like, fucking what?
>>2042777
>>2042813
Yeah, I didn't get that washi part. What was the joke there?
>>2043997
>Christ's sake they got Nao Touyama, a voice actress known for her english speaking skills to voice an Italian character
She speaks English with a Japanese accent too though.
>Yeah, I didn't get that washi part. What was the joke there?
It's a weird first person pronoun for a young woman to use.

>>2044252
She is the middle child
>>2044264
So Nee-San is gender neutral?
>>2044281
No?
>>2044281
Nee-san means sister.
Nii-san means brother.
Nissan means car company.
>>2044285
And "oni-chan" has nothing to do with family ties.

The top flag is the old IJN flag for 2/bissotwo, so they read bissotwo X-ray India.

"washi" means "I" but it's mostly used by eldery people nowadays.

各艦の被れる主なる損害を知らせ
Move aside Shiro, Mii, Mike and Moka, it's time for the true best couple (which not coincidentally is made up of the two best girls) to take center stage.
Go figure, torpedos nowadays are deployed through the VLS. Didn't know that.
>>2046567
But so much less cool.
Also, considering a lack of large-scale warfare that pre-WW2 ships are typical, the turreted launchers will stick around.
>>2046576
Don't you mean "post-WW2"?
Also, instead of having the missile do crazy shit to deploy a torpedo why not just launch a regular antiship missile?
Umbrella hard at work here.
>>2046580
Antiship missiles don't work on submarines. Also, modern warships have anti-missile point defense systems, like Phalanx, which torpedoes would bypass.
>>2046583
Maybe it's not zombie virus and it's just rabies or leptospirosis.
>>2046588
Neither disease works like that, and both diseases mean Tama and basically half of the fleet is fucked.
>she wasn't aiming for a passionate kiss
>>2046567
Most modern warships also have a complement of standard torpedo tubes. The ships in this episode were Kongou-class destroyers (modified versions of a US design) which are equipped with 2 triple-tube torpedo launchers.
The weapons they used were RUM-139 ASROC (Anti-Submarine Rocket), which are rocket-boosted torpedoes. The point of that system is to give a longer range than a conventional torpedo.
As for why they used ASROC instead of conventional torpedoes in this episode, probably just because they look cooler.
>>2046611
Won't launching torpedoes like rockets make them go farther than launching under water? I mean, doesn't the water offer more resistance against the torpedo?
I'm totally hooked. This episode didn't even felt like 22min.
>>2046609
>I must go now, my waifu needs me
I know we won't get a kiss, but I'd buy the BDs if they did go through with it.
>>2046620
Yes, that's the whole point of ASROC (it also conserves the fuel onboard the torpedo itself.) But the engagement with the Musashi was carrier out at close range, and conventional torpedoes would have easily reached.
The much dumber part of the episode was how the Kongous don't even try defend themselves from Musashi's fire with their Phalanx systems, and just instantly get hit. Yet when Harekaze comes under fire, it has plenty of time to manually direct its 10cm guns and take potshots at the incoming shells.
>>2046627
>Yet when Harekaze comes under fire, it has plenty of time to manually direct its 10cm guns and take potshots at the incoming shells.
The power of cute girls.
>>2046627
I could try to make up some excuse about "Japan is peaceful, so those old men haven't been in combat in a long time and lost their skill". But that would be a lame excuse.
>>2046636
A peaceful nation wouldn't let teenaged trainees crew warships with live ammunition and no supervision.
>>2046638
Have you ever watched an anime?
That's what Peaceful!Japan always does in anime.
>>2046627
I don't think the PDS can track those shells. And even if it could there's nothing it could've done to deflect or destroy the shell in midair like it can with missiles.
>>2046638
In addition to that I'm pretty sure most of the girls went on to these ships with little to no actual nautical experience outside of studies, and they didn't even have a single supervisor on any of the boats.
I get that it's fiction and needs something to drive the plot, but c'mon
>>2046650
Also there are EMP-emitting mind-controlling hamsters.
>I get that it's fiction
You might be onto something here.
>>2046655
I'm just a little disappointed that it went so crazy, I was hoping for something a little more intuitive.
Like at first I was genuinely curious as to why seemingly coordinated mutinies were happening but when it became obvious it was something super-natural, it just felt like a cop out.
I would of been a lot happier with it if they made the world more explicitly not ours, so the fantastical elements would fit in a little better.
Anyway there's still over half the season left, so maybe it will surprise me with something.
>>2046609
Sorry but I am still in love with my ex. take care of the kids for me.
>>2046580
Nope, if you look at the Musashi, it's got the Pre-WW2 configuration going on. Doesn't have the AA gun nest around the superstructure.
>>2046655
Saying "it's fiction" can only excuse so much. A story still needs to be consistent with its own internal logic, and that hasn't been happening here.
>>2046650
I mean, honestly, I love the Phalanx, I've watched that fucker fire at relatively close range, but can't do a whole long against incoming shells.
>>2046664
I found it amusing that the ship that is crewed by the apparent rejects seems to actually be full of prodigies in naval warfare.
>>2046667
Well, it is fiction.
That said, in any military, the rejects are where the new ideas come from.
No... I'm not bitter about my own experience in the army, baka.
>>2046675
I always thought a series focused on rejects being actual rejects would be refreshing, if a little sad.
Like not about how they're unlucky or how they have some hidden talent that they haven't yet found, something where it's just about the bottom students/recruits just trying their hardest (or lack of trying) just to keep up with everybody else. I think if written correctly it could be very interesting.
>>2046664
>can't do a whole long against incoming shells
Why would you think that? It fires armor-piercing tungsten rounds at 4500rpm, and the Musashi's shells are certainly large enough to be detected and hit (and are packed full of explosives).
A ground-based version of the Phalanx, the Centurion, is used by the US Army to defend against artillery and mortar attacks. So why would the Phalanx itself not be effective against naval artillery?
>>2046680
Is it called the Centurion? We always just called it the Phalanx.
I mean, could theoretically be useful, I'm not really denying that, but...
yeah I really got nothing.
>>2046679
That was what Enlisted was, basically.
No but what the fuck was up with these random rocks? If shit was too shallow to let a jet ski roll, how the fuck could a BB sail?
>>2046696
The thing she hit was awful brown, but I'll buy that explanation.
Yeah, I'm not surprised there was an actual name for it, we just thought it was that cool thing at first then that fucking irritating thing that let us know it was thirteen seconds after 1400.
>>2042020
>Haifuri

That should do the trick.
>>2046609
The hell is wrong with Mike's head?
>>2046679
That's my life. Except that I don't try too hard, and even if I do, I fail.
>>2046667
Didn't they say people thought Einstein was mentally retarded when he was a kid? And look
at him now.
>>2046771
That's a myth. He did do poorly in school, but that's because he was bored out of his mind.
>>2046542
Mah nigga. As for Mike, I think Moka is the clear choice for her.
>>2046720
she suffers from QUALITY sometimes.
>>2046609
I thought Mike was going to
>You're right Shiro-chan, thank you for reminding me. I'm sorry for not acting like a good captain by losing my composure and unable to think straight for a moment there.
and I was wrong
>>2046824
This. Abandoning your post in a time of combat is an offense worthy of court-marshal, at best. Made even worse since she's the commanding officer. She's lucky it's not in wartime, or it'd be a capital offense.
Though I'm sure she'll escape punishment, because anime.
>>2046824
Well, Mike was never a good captain nor did she want to. She just studied "How to be a captain 101" for the exam, she didn't expect to them to give her the actual role. Episode 2 and 3 made it clear that she was struggling with the role. In the end, all Mike ever wanted was to be in the same school and if possible, on the same ship with Moka.
>>2046828
It helps that they're all just trainees and that this is their very first voyage. As long as the mutiny misunderstanding is cleared, nothing serious will happens to their career.
>>2046833
All of this just makes it even more ridiculous that they're left completely unsupervised and given access to live ammunition.
>>2046784
Maybe the same happens with the girls from Harekaze. They got bad grades in the test because they are geniuses and were too bored when they took the test.
>>2046837
Anime is a world were kids and teenagers all have free access to guns, swords, canons and all that. And all adults are useless and dumb, so the kids have to save the day.
>>2046839
Yes, but usually it's wartime desperation, or mystical specialness, that leads to the kids having weapons. This is neither.
And the complaint would still hold up even if they were older. Militaries don't give new recruits unsupervised access to live ammunition.
>>2046845
With a show like this you have to of course suspend your disbelief for the premise to work.
>>2046845
>This is neither.
One can say that this situation is completely unexpected and far beyond normal operating parameters. Just like in my Japanese animes!
>>2046845
I agree with you that kids with live amunition is unrealistic and maybe bad writting. I'll keep watching this thing though.
>>2046828
>This. Abandoning your post in a time of combat is an offense worthy of court-marshal, at best. Made even worse since she's the commanding officer. She's lucky it's not in wartime, or it'd be a capital offense.
>Though I'm sure she'll escape punishment
Different cultures have different ideals and rules. Your idea of a court marshal-able offense isn't necessarily what exists in the shows world/time.
Compare this show to Star Trek and Star Trek the Next Generation. Both of those captains went on solo away missions, so why shouldn't this anime's captain not be allowed the same freedom?
>>2046857
And more often than not both Kirk and Picard get in a world of shit over their solo escapades (with Picard even getting Borg'd as a result of one if I recall), even if they aren't already in a world of shit like Mike is.
>>2046833
To add to that, High School Girls aren't exactly the paragons of reason.
They haven't even started training before they were attacked by mind terrorists either.
>>2046837
They were given access to live ammunition to presumably enable them to defend themselves against pirates.
As for why they were unsupervised, well... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
>>2046857
As I recall very early on in TNG Riker explicitly called out Picard for ordering himself on an away mission and stated that a captain's place is on the starship. And Picard agreed with him. That was one of the things in TNG that they made sure was different from TOS.
Also it's funny how when I was first watching this show I couldn't help but think "Boy, I wish this show was a scifi one, with the girls in space warships instead. That would have been so much cooler". Then goddamn mind-controlling hamsters happened. Not like this...
>>2046988
I had pretty much the exact same thought as soon as people started talking about mind control conspiracies since it reminded me of the TNG ep where the parasites take over Starfleet officers.
Mouretsu Pirates is decent anyway, even though it's not 100% female.
>>2046828
But they weren't in combat nor where they ordered to be.
Anyway, I was surprised at how much Mike actually cares about Moka. They haven't met for 3 years and she's still this hung up, makes me excited for the flashback. It better be really gay.
>>2046650
>In addition to that I'm pretty sure most of the girls went on to these ships with little to no actual nautical experience outside of studies,
No shit, Sherlock, they just outright stated that on the first episode - it's their goddamn first practical lesson that went totally South
>>2047247
I just want screen time of them together.
I still think this anime has only been okay so far but I can definitely get behind this pairing.
>>2047284
Bloodthirsty Torpedo Girl is the best.
>>2047284
There's not enough of the twins.
There will never be enough of the twins.
>>2046860
To be fair to Picard, when he went away-ing, it was generally because his particular areas of expertise were relevent. Archaeology and diplomacy, usually.
>>2047294
Or when it was something related to someone he knew personally
>http://www.pixiv.net/member_illust.php?mode=medium&illust_id=56796430
Wow.
>>2047471
Can't wait for them to get some significant interaction other than being roomies
>>2046860
No they actually boarded the ship to capture him, so they would have some special federation code that can lower the mine field around earth.
>>2047573
Yeah. You're actually talking here at /u/ about who's better of two male trek captains while /a/ is busy arguing the yuri pairings. Also, I'm fully aware that 4chan's board culture frowns upon the use of first-persone actions descriptions, but this is one case where I should REALLY have started this post with a description of me double-checking the boards before coming to the initially-stated conclusion. And I hate the lot of you because of that. I mean, really!
New chapter of the manga: http://tieba.baidu.com/p/4508780914
Seems like the manga's timeline is going to overlap with the anime now. Damage control Hime was the one who saved the rice cooker.
These fucking cliffhangers are killing me.
>>2047613
Yeah, I'm with. I mean it's clear that Picard is the superior captain, why even argue about that?
>>2047830
Kirk got shit done, while Picard just blinded people with reflections from his bald skull. Kirk is the better one no doubt.
>>2048125
Picard is sophisticated and almost certainly has a healthy appreciation for the beauty of yuri while Kirk would be a haremfag.
>>2048421

Summary of LN.

>Kuro thought that Shiro was a bit cool, but since she was in a bad mood, she decided to follow Shiro to tell her off
>Meanwhile, Shiro thought that Kuro somehow gave off a nostalgic scent

>After that, she had to take part in a quiz show where participants sat on a slide that tiltes everytime they make a wrong answer
>Then, she became the host of the skipper show
>After seeing all the stuffs Mashiro did, Kuroki was tottaly engrossed and wanted to be of help to her in someway
>Shiro was released after the skipper show
>On her way to where the Musashi was, she heard a loli cried as her stamps paper was blown away by the wind
>She chased after the paper and fell into the sea when she caught it

>While she was catching her breath, the Musashi slowly moved and went away right before her eyes
>Shiro screamed after it, telling it to wait for her but sneezed before she could finish the sentence

I need to know the meaning of this, for reasons.

Huh? Phalanx does not care if what is flying at it is a shell or a missile.
Shells are closer to its top speed limit, which is why it is slowly being replaced by the RAM missile as Russia and China both introduced supersonic SSMs that are as fast or faster than battleship shells.

Based on the evidence I'd say it's more likely that the Spee is girls only rather than mixed gender.

Do you g/u/ys have any ideas about what those mouse really are?
ayyliens? Khornate cultist?

Both being electrical impulses, it's what makes moe senseif we suspend disbelief of how the energy required for it would fry the hamster AND the brain. Quoting a character that can't be posted here (male), "it's not the same not knowing, than knowingly ignoring"
>>2049491
That is actually quite logical. We can rest a little easier about the Spee then.
>>2049434
I'm still hoping for them to be a reference to Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, it would make ruining the story worth it.
Though in actuality they're probably gonna be some bio-weapon that was released and hidden in those floating resource pods they were fishing up.

>ruining the story
What? It's fairly obvious that the story is going this route since the first episode.
>>2049506
Now this would explain uss liberty incident
>>2050012
Not really. There could be any number of reasons why the instructor ordered an attack on the Harekaze. I wouldn't say 'Mind-controlling hamsters' was the obvious first choice.
>>2050035
The instructor looked quite mind-controlled when she issued the attack in the first episode.
>>2050039
"Dead" eyes don't always indicate mind-control. It could just have been a merciless expression.
>>2050035
>I wouldn't say 'Mind-controlling hamsters' was the obvious first choice.
I'm saving this line for future usage, Anon
>>2050039
In hindsight only.
The arguments on /a/ over what the cause was were very lively for weeks, with people who thought mind control was the cause being treated the same as the people who said zombies or aliens; as if they were joking.

That just mean /a/nons were retards for not wanting to see the obvious that everyone else on the internet was already seeing.
Remember, /a/ is not actually everyone or most anime fans. /a/ is wrong more often than not.
>>2050255
There wasn't any foreshadowing of it at all though. The only evidence in ep1 is her expression, and someone looking stern is not enough to declare mind control, especially when it was not radically different from her personality beforehand.
It sure as fuck was not obvious for the majority of anyone anywhere.
>>2050012
I was just hoping for something more interesting than hamsters.
>>2050257
Yeah, Nanoha had a similar expression on her face in StrikerS when punishing Teana, and that wasn't mind control. It was to show that she had serious'd the fuck up.

>>2050844
Yes, the girls are all insane and it has a Madoka-esque genre shift.
>>2050847
Would've happened already if it was like that.
>>2050847
Thanks for the warning.
I know the ship doctor is crazy, but using the antibody on herself was too much. If something happens to her, then who will tel the world about the demon hamsters? Who will cure the crew when they get injuried/possessed?
>>2050909
She probably already told those 2 girls that are with her.
>>2050909
She told them already.
What I don't get is why Momo was holding Hime down.
>>2050912
So she wouldn't stop the doctor. It also makes it look like the doctor's insane at first.

Rest assured, it is a female name. It says 'She' on the next scene too.

18 inches against 18 inches?
There are a lot of ships in this show.
>>2051213
The entire show is blatantly obviously trying to appeal to as many people as possible. Expect 10 more ships before the end of the season. Quite a pity really, relationships just thrown around to bait us instead of fleshing them out and making nice couples.
>>2051262
At the end there will be some that are above the other ones in the level of development, those will be the good ones.
>>2051262
Well I mean considering they dumped a literal boat-load of cast on to us, it was to be expected.
>>2051262
Spotted the childhood friend-fag.
>>2051299
Shiro, what exactly are you planning to do with that hand gesture?

The artist did another one.
So Mina is on top with Shiro but on bottom with Mike.
>>2051560
The pic title is "While she's unconscious" so of course Mina'd be at the bottom, she's not even awake.
>>2046980
Given that, they're doing pretty damn well, so far.

You DO know that the Kagero class destroyer that they are on is supposed to have a complement of 239 men, right? The fact that they can even run the damn thing with only 31 girls is a fucking miracle of science.
>>2051673
>literally magical plague that makes affected people feel an excess of anger and want to kill everything
That's all Four, and therefore Undivided.
>>2051677
Mina doesn't feel like the "kinky fetishes when nobody's looking" kind of girl. Then again, who knows what's going on with Shiro behind those closed doors. I wonder if those bulkheads are soundproof...
>>2050909
A lot of doctors do this in real life because it's the fastest and most accurate way for them to monitor the effect. People who researches the effect of bug bites, for example, often get themselves bitten on purpose for this reason.
>>2051690
I couldn't pass up the pun.
Also assuming classes were of roughly equal size the Musashi is an even more impressive feat, I'm surprised they didn't just put the entire school on that ship and split classes into roles (so a class that focuses on the bridge, another that focuses on weaponry, etc).
But at this point logic in this show is only an afterthought.
>>2051718
Yes, but when they do that, they have other doctors monitoring them. It's not something that should be done when you're the only doctor around.
what is this?
>>2051798
Both of them what?
>>2043149They could have localized it as "Casablanca's name *does* come from casa blanca, in Spanish" which would not sound idiotic.

Not necessarily. Especially when they're short on time and staff like the case here. It's not like they're just injecting them blindly. They usually predict possible outcomes and prepare cautionary measures before they do that. I am sure the loli doctor here also have something prepared before she injected that stuff.
wth!
>>2051693
-part 1
Not really. A Khornate daemon can posses things and influence passively too. It's not a plague.
Also remember that Khorne is the Chaos god of hate and rage. Slaanesh has nothing to do with that. (Now, if it made them have hate-sex with the closest person too them, then it would be Slaaneshi.)
-part 2
She's German. We ALL have some BDSM fetish or another. I'm pretty sure it's genetic by now.
>>2051722
>>2051824
Automating them is setting them up to fail.
Finagle's law: if anything can go wrong, it will, and at the worst possible moment.
By making most of the ships automated, they have increased the likely hood that something will go wrong. And that has already happened. The Musashi is likely taken over because of the fact that most of it is automated.
(The Musashi was supposed to have a complement of 2,500 men, by the way.)
>>2051953
I've already decided that the Blue Mermaids are not a respectable organization, this is just more evidence.
>>2051953
You sound autistic as fuck.
>>2052363
It's a namefag. Which means at the very least they don't understand the basic social structure of the place they in, so that goes without saying.
>>2052363
Assburger's at the very least...
>>2052373
I should post an agreement with you while namefaging, just to add to the irony.
>>2052373
I needed it for a quest thread, and I've just never taken it off. Too lazy too. Not like it actually matters.
>>2052362
What made you think that it wasn't a respectable organization?
While it it true that it's several times more likely that something will go wrong, it is also true that without that automation several of the girls would be dead or mutilated by now. Remember how one of their guns was hit? If it was bad enough to take it out of action permanently then SOMEONE would have been severely injured at the very least. You need at least 10 men to operate a dual mounted 5" (127mm) gun.
I want to know what exactly is happening on the Musashi. Are they really mind controlled? How do they even cook and eat if so? Why the hell is Moka still on the bridge yet is not controlled already?
>>2052915
>admision of namefaging without need of it
>>2052958
It doesn't seem to be mind control, just something that amps up reactions of paranoia or anger. Like what happened to Tama. Probably the Musashi fired because they thought they were under attack.
There is one thing that's been bothering me since the series started. Why would they have all the instructors on one ship and not have at least one supervising things on each of the training ships? I'm only guessing having cadets go out by themselves on a WWII era ship and work shit out by themselves is supposed to be some rite of passage for Blumers or something,
Apparently, glasses damage control-chan is drawing a 4koma based on all the crews of Harekaze and a MikexShiro doujin for the next Comiket.

>>2053013

>>2052958
Moka is naturally immune. Or perhaps she kills every hamster that come her way.
Is this show real yuri?
>>2054008
Better to go with;
Mike/Moka
Mike/Rin
Mei/Tama
Mina/Shiro
Kuro/Shiro
Maron/Kuro
Macchi/Mimi
Or whole ship orgy because fuck it.
>>2053998
There are some pretty blatant crushes. Kuro->Shiro and Mimi->Macchi being the biggest examples. Then there's some pretty heavy subtext elsewhere.
>>2053003
It's been bothering me too, best explanation I've come up with is since they were planning to do naval drills for only two weeks the trip to the training island (which wad only supposed to take a day or two) would have been a chance to break the girls into their ships and positions. It's a shitty reason but the best I've come up with.
>>2053998
There are a fewships
Cute Mei x Tama

What the fuck
I just finished watching subs of ep 7. Nice episode - we getgirls in the shower, girls in swimsuits, and some very sexy looking blue mermaids.

Based.
>>2055843
Huh, was it even opened in this episode?
I just saw Mike pull it out and hold it twice, but still closed.
>>2055864
When will the suffering end?
Why are there so many freaking lesbian on board this ship?
>>2056030
They're sailors.
>>2056030
/a/ theorised the Harekaze is the actual lesbian containment ship
>>2056043
Megumi sure did appreciate a face full of titty.
Damn. Mike sure got around this episode.
>>2056278
They really are desperate to give every girl as much pairing possibility as...well, possible.
Stupid anime oh...
what the fuck did I see
Oooh they didn't do anything with Mina and Shiro. That was like prime time for shippy stuff. Looks like that ship got lost at sea.
>>2053013
I wonder if it will get distributed around the Harekaze for the amusement of the crew like Kurogane Pukapuka Tai did.
>>2053998
No, obviously not.
>>2056444
Go away.
>>2056375
Yeah I was expecting them to get closer facing danger together on the rescue mission but that didn't happen at all. In fact we got more Shiro/Mike in the end.
>>2056375
Mina x Thea was always going to be it. I hope we actually get to see her before the end.
>>2056456
I know that, but I had hoped that they would've at least threw me and the other, like, 3 people who still ship them a bone.
I'm gonna keep hoping for Kuro/Shiroand watch my hopes get crushed into tiny little pieces
>>2056458
>kuro tries to backstab mike
>gets found out
>mike and shiro demand answers
>kuro tearfully confesses to shiro
Please
>>2056461
I'd be content with the Maron/Kuro route as well. I just want Kuro to escape the angst and be happy.
>>2056189
she went from being gay to supergay?
>>2056467
I'd actually prefer that. Maron is super cute.
>>2056375
Mina x Koko is where the ship is steaming for
>>2056493
Yep.
>>2056566
Full speed ahead.
Now imagine them doing voices in bed.
>>2056456
It seems unlikely that Thea will appear in remaining episodes.
I think STAFF is planing to tell Thea's story in upcoming comic strip, which have Mina as leading character.
>>2056493
>Mike marries them
Fixd.
>>2056566
They sure are devoting a lot of screen time to character pairs.
This is turning out gayer than the GuP anime (not any of the manga though, of course, at least not yet).
>>2053013
>MikexShiro
pure fucking garbage
even pic related or TamaxMei are a better pairing than miss bitch #1 x miss retard.
>>2053998
just yuribait.
anne-happy is the only show with a real lesbian in it this season. I also heard mayoiga has one but I'm not watching it since it looks uninteresting.
>>2058546
All of those are good pairings, to be quite honest sempai.
>>2058548
There's no lesbian but you're really missing out.
>>2058548
>yuribait
You meant subtext. Yuribait implies deceit, for example in harems, etc.
>>2058604
Not them but I kind of feel like it is bait. I mean it does not fit the typical definition but at the same time it feels tacked on in a way that will never actually go anywhere, for the sake of bringing in the yuri crowd. How many god damn one sided crushes do we have so far? It has all been light comedy or childhood friends.
In other words, bait without a hook I guess?
>>2058629
This conversation has been done a million times before. The point is that the word 'bait', has negative implications. Especially in 4chin. Use it only if there's het as a warning.
>it feels tacked on in a way that will never actually go anywhere
That is subjective.
>>2056458
I am hoping for doujins soon!!!
>>2058635
You can't possibly think the half a dozen one sided crushes we have seen will actually go anywhere though.
I figured they were going to ship Germany-chan and Shiro after the put them in the same room, but even with the last episode being the perfect chance for it they did nothing to reinforce that.
Moka/Mike could happen, but Moka still isn't even really a character.
The show seems to be making it so everyone can be shipped with everyone but part of that means not having anything actually substantial. And then comedy scenes where someone gets a face full of tits or a crowd goes "Wow she is so cool!" can't/don't really go anywhere, even if it is kind of /u/.
>>2058669
You must be fun at the parties.
>>2058669
You sound like one of those people who'd never be satisfied with anything, even after having been given so much. The polar opposite of Mugino, more or less.
>>2058681
We have not gotten a single concrete thing though. It is just more yuri for laughs.
How have we gotten so much here? Everything I said still stands.
>>2058690
>yuri for laughs
The yuri in this show is way more concrete, as in less subtle than what we usually get from a subtext show. You're the one dismissing it by saying it's "yuri for laughs", which is not unlike how hetfags try to dismiss yuri too.
>>2058701
One sided crushes never go anywhere for us though, and like half the cast is involved in one. Sprinkling comedy over nearly all or all of them really doesn't help.
>>2058764
You should stop obsessing over one-sided crushes already.
>>2058546
It was obvious it would be the main pairing since the first moment Shiro appeared.
>>2058670
>>2058681
he just wants real yuri too, cut us some slack.
>>2058918
even if they were actual lesbians. As if Mike would throw her waifu since childhood away for some new bitch she just met.
>>2058982
Don't need to assume they aren't.
She'll need a new one once her childhood one doesn't survive to get back to her.
>>2059039
if there is death in this show then it would have already happened by now. they didn't even kill the male ships attacking the musashi.
no one's gonna die.
They've set up the Kuro thing so strongly now I really can't see how there's any possible way to interpret it other than as her being in love with Shiro. They wouldn't have a shot of her getting mad while walking in on Shiro and Mike doing something suggestive otherwise. It's too far past just being goggles.
>>2059215
