Charlotte was a good girl that just happened to be a bit strict and made some rash decisions. She was in charge of law and order on the island and considering the biggest incidents on Mermaid before Momoka showed up were were a fake kidnapping (that Charlotte would have actually properly dealt with if Kasumi didn't stop her) and some missing items, she seemed to be doing a pretty good job.
One could argue that Charlotte was taking advantage of her power due to the whole rigged beauty pageant, but Meifon's ex-accomplices could have indepecdently decided to do that and Charlotte might have just been confident in her ability to win fairly.
The one in Feste that was really guilty of causing some huge problems down the line was Akira, but that's more due to her following her mother's plan without any regards to the consequences if it actually succeeds. To reiterate, her mother's plan was:
1. Gain influence and power by pretending to be a male
2. Stay safe
3. Wait for her mother to find a way to save her
So Akira deceives everyone by not only pretending to be a girl, but also promises them freedom if they behave. Due to the fact that she has to keep up the charade, she never got close to anyone at Feste and never involved anyone there when she was investigating how to actually get off the island. In the event that Akira's mom found a way to smuggle her off the island, Akira would have most likely just left and once Feste realizes they've been conned by Akira, things would have gotten very ugly.
TL;DR - Akira was fucking things up so bad that Charlotte's mistakes were really quite innocent and minor in comparison.

I don't disagree. It kinda justifies itself because Meifon is one of the main central cast with lesser focus. Torino might get more focus after ep 9 and the spoilers outright said that Kasumi's arc is coming.
Why did Mamori get so much hate and Akira gets a free pass when Akira is by far, the most morally irresponsible character in the whole cast? Akira apparently trusted her mother so much (she was even thinking about her during combat) that she apparently never stopped to think about the consequences of her actions.
Her mom's plan for Akira was to:
- Pretend to be a guy to gain supporters
- Stay safe by lying through her teeth and promising everyone freedom
- Wait until her mom finds a way to get her off the island
The issue with this is that the part where her mom gets her off the island is most likely meant for one person (smuggling off or just making a deal and have Akira be exempt). In the even where that actually goes through, Akira would just ditch Feste and once all the girls that they've been conned in not only their leader's identity, but also the promise of freedom, hell would have broken loose.
The fact that Akira specifically had to hide her true nature from everyone at Feste meant that she could never properly connect with anyone there. This meant that she'd probably have no real hard feelings ditching anyone when the time to get smuggled away came.
Akira was by far the most irresponsible (not evil or malicious, just irresponsible) but not many people seemed to have called her out on it and quite a few people are just waiting for her to get a free pass and another Exsta to be a hero after how hard she was going to screw everyone over.

They still don’t know how many of them will attend but the number sure would be great.
As you know from twitter, Izawa watch every ep of VDM live on MX. She found Meifon to be really cute in ep 8 and even showed some pictures to Kubo. She also said that she love ep 8 so much she cried while watching it. Even though she cried her mother still didn’t know anything about VDM. Even after all this time Izawa still didn’t say anything to her mother.
Izawa said that she actually has been thinking on how to tell her mother but thought that no matter what she said her mother would probably be shocked. That’s because in her family the most dirty words that they could said to each other is toilet and bath. Other two immediately tsukkomi her saying that there’s nothing dirty with bath. If the words like underwear was said in Izawa’s family they would definitely went quiet, like awkward quiet. They also didn’t say ‘panties’. They said even in battle scene there would be some part censored but even then they all still looks cool. And suddenly back to Izawa again. They wanted to do a corner where they asked listener to submit their suggestion on how to change Izawa Family. Iguchi still can’t understand how can they not laugh at variety show, Izawa said she did laugh a bit but her other family member just looked at TV coldly.
Mail corner. First mail just watched ep 7 and find the part where Akira can’t sleep because she was surrounded by her poster cute and asked the hosts whether they ever had trouble sleeping and what would they do. Iguchi would surf net and do some online shopping when she can’t sleep. Izawa exercise, like dancing, to tire herself to fall asleep. Kubo just toss and turn trying to sleep. That’s it for mail corner.
Whew that was longer than usual. There’s still one more corner about making a praise that the VAs finds charming. It was fun corner but nothing important. That’s it for this week.
The Vita game actually reminds me more of DW:Strikeforce than SK - frame rate drops during transform scenes like the first 3DS game but the combat is pretty much always stable.
Echigoya isn't playable in story mode, I am not sure if she is unlockable or sth? She appears in many cutscenes though.
Overall I'd say it's longer than SK2, there are many meh mecha battles but it's still worth buying.
The yuri part could've been better - Momo is obviously a lesbian and RinkaxRanka seemed pretty obvious to me but then Manpukumaru seemed more interested in food than anything else. + lots of customization and CGs.
