It was written by some chick over two years. Basically the religion of R'hllor and the White Walkers are a duality and are destined to war forever, until shit goes down. Jon becomes possessed by the Great Other Some of it is outright fanfic wankery, but the good parts are really fucking good. It makes good use of fan theories and the author adds some personal twists. Like when the Wall comes down, it triggers a tidal wave that destroys Braavos. She mimics GRRM's writing style brilliantly. Read the Coldhands prologue if you don't believe me.
