It seems to me that the show now is intent on trying to do something shocking for the sake of it whenever possible, its a shame because the source material and the overly convoluted plots could be entertaining enough without all the bullshit and gimmicks. A lot of the violence and gore and sexuality in GOT has added to the experience but it feels now as though its just being thrown in as par for the course.
Also i seem to recall the kingsmoot being a somewhat grander affair and taking a lot longer in the books, I was looking forward to seeing it and was disappointed by the shows portrayal. I get that this is not the books anymore and is only based, some might say loosely, on them now, but they seem to be missing some great opportunities for some genuinely good TV for the sake of 'haha look at this dick, haha look at this blood and viscera, haha hold the door'
