The books have everyone from Barristan to Jaime to Ned calling Arthur Dayne a good dude and respected and loved across the kindom. Ned just cuts him down without saying anything, with Dawn no less.
So much for the honorable starks. Also the delivery of "now it ends" was smug as hell; in the book Ned is lamenting the needless bloodshed; the war is fucking over, he doesn't want to fight Dayne because he respects him so much.
Then you have the anime reinterpretation with Dayne dual wielding and shots that show far too much of the actual fight to the point if you rewatch a webm you notice how silly it actually is. Compare it to season 1 where Jaime goes "take ned alive, kill his men", and in an instant his men are dead.

The tension with the singer and his women was built up pretty well. It plays out like a murder mystery. People are dying randomly, they are snowed in, and these random women are trying to seduce Theon for reasons he is unsure of. It is all him walking through the snow, observing these little clues.
